I spent one night in this hotel for business-related issues. hotel is located in the very central area of Logroño, so that you can get a dinner very easily by walking just few minutes from your room. very good service provided - breakfast was included and at a very good level. w-fi + big room completed the positive feeling I had all the time during my stay
We will always remember this hotel as one of our favorites in Spain. It was so nice and the staff all so wonderful to us. We arrived here on October 3, 2017 after a long day trying to find roads out of Priorat and Catalonia that were not blocked by tractors. It was so nice to find this hotel located right on the famous tapas area of Logrona. People were shopping and dining and attending mass and so many of them all dressed up to go out on the town! We really enjoyed it. Just walk out the hotel and you are just steps away from tapas, gelato, Sangria, gin and tonics, ATMs, tobacco shops, restaurants, bars, markets and sights to see. Our room was very comfortable with all the modern comforts. Great shower, tub, closets, we even had some laundry done that the hotel arranged for us. There is parking underground but we parked in a close parking lot that was free. Once you park for the evening you are so close to everything you don't need to leave again. We ate breakfast here both mornings and they have excellent coffee! They will make you cook to order eggs or they have hard boiled to choose from. They had cheeses, meats, pastries, cereals, fruits, yogurts, regional favorites like the tomatoes and bread. I would recommend staying here. I've told many friends I would travel to Logrona and stay here for a week the next time. Loved this city and this hotel.
Another smoky hotel in Spain, but not the worse we have had. Very convenient to Tapas. Breakfast was more expensive here than other locales, and not as comprehensive. Rooms are modern and ok size. There is good free parking across the road - you have to be patient and cruise around the park but someone eventually leaves.
Lovely hotel in a great location to explore Logrono. Staff were quick and friendly to check us in. Our room was a delight and a good size with huge bed which turned out to also be extremely comfy with good quality linens. Bathroom was a good size with ubiquitous bidet. Shower had water as hot as you'd need and good pressure. The reasoning behind the 4* was simply down to the WiFi which I noticed a few others have mentioned was a little troublesome. Despite the staff restarting the router, we found it to be VERY slow and inconsistent. Too slow for anything like Netflix so we had to revert to using the data plan on our mobile tarriffs. This was an issue since I had to take a few Skype calls for my work so this is something the hotel should really look into since it's obviously not just me who's struggled with the wifi and something which can be addressed rather easily (and inexpensively). Keep this in mind if WiFi is important to you as you could be unlucky like us. We didn't take up the offer of breakfast at Eur8 pp since there's a nice café literally right next door to the hotel and you can have a delicious croissant and coffee for Eur3. There's plenty of fantastic tapas bars nearby, such as Pasion por ti and Torrecilla and restaurant La Taggliatella if you'd prefer to have an Italian rather than tapas. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay. If the hotel can address the issue with their WiFi, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Great value for money!
The hotel is in a great location - just at the end of the main street in the old part of town. It's located near restaurants - cafes just outside the door and yes, the famous Calle Laurel is not far. It's a modern hotel and our room was quite spacious with lots of natural light. Reception was friendly and efficient. Parking is available (at an extra cost) but it in the same building as the hotel, so very convenient. We'd definitely go back.
We had just one night here, en route to San Sebastian. It's a very comfortable room and the location is perfect. I note that there is no tea-making facility, but that's a minor problem. We also used the parking which was great.
Efficient hotel across of the tourism office and close to many good restaurants. Atmosphere is casual and language is not a problem. It is also close to the river if you like to go on a morning run. Be careful during San Mateo as the sounds of celebrating can go all night long.
Great hotel, loved the location. The staff went out of their way to help us out and even called a botega to book us a tour. Honestly the best staff we have encountered so far in Spain. There's free parking close by which is a big plus. Do not hesitate to book. We had issues with the shower door leaking on the floor but they were minor.
Our actual stay wasn't the worst part of our experience with this hotel, although that was pretty bad on it's own. As others have mentioned, parking is weird and very difficult to get to (driving through heavily pedestrian alleyways). Our room smelled very strongly of smoke even though we booked (and were told we were in) a non-smoking room... and the front desk told us they could do nothing about it except open the windows. The worst part was that they never returned my husband's passport to him at check-in, and given we were flustered from parking and starving, we didn't realize it at the time. We left early the next morning still in the dark about the passport, and spent the next 10 days traveling around Spain AND NO-ONE CONTACTED US ABOUT THE PASSPORT!!! Completely unacceptable. The hotel had my email address where I received a confirmation of the reservation and didn't attempt to let us know that they still had my husband's most important document in their possession! Ridiculous. When we couldn't locate the passport the day before we were leaving to return home and retraced our steps and called them, they knew they had the passport, but were zero help in trying to get it back to us that day, insisting that we had to retrieve it. Their story kept changing about what exactly had happened, and ended with them blaming us for leaving the passport under the bed! I suspect they knew they had kept the passport from check-in and were worried about getting in trouble, so shifted the blame to us. My husband ended up having to rent a car and drive the 4+ hrs back to Logrono overnight the night before we were leaving in order to get the passport back. This place is the worst; don't give them your business!
Excellent location situated in the old quarter and right next to the two famous Tapas areas and what a wonderful experience trying different tapas and wine. Good choices for the buffet breakfast and very reasonable price. Would highly recommend a stay we will be staying again next year.
