Excellent

This was possibly the best experience with renting a cabin so far. Fast communication, the property was clean, and most of all privacy. The kitchen is very well stocked as well.

Perfect

The house was clean-very important to us when staying at a VRBO. The fenced in yard was secure, as well as the gates on the deck so we felt completely comfortable having our dog with us. She had fun romping in the snow and didn't seem to mind 0 degrees! Although we couldn't enjoy the outside space as much as we would have liked, we did have fun shooting pool. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice stay

Beautiful, serene setting. Older cabin with different set up. Two bathrooms in basement with only one bedroom in basement. Only one bathroom first floor and not attached to master bedroom. Loft has no bathroom. Benches at dining table in great room with only two couches to accommodate seating. Significant fees added to final costs. I will now be more watchful. Then housekeepers request a tip! Very expensive compared to our former visits to Hocking Hills.

Pros and cons for sure

There were things we really loved about this place and some things that really were not so great. The pros: great location, well stocked kitchen, secluded (you can see the back neighbor through trees but they were pretty quiet), pool table, fenced in yard (that does have wire fencing for extra security with dogs... it is not very visible in the pictures), and a great firepit. Cons: the hot tub jets did not work. It just moaned and groaned but they didn't jet. There was TONS of dog poop from a prior guest that took a long time to clean up (it was also partially frozen to add to it), I guess the claim of luxurious is subjective because I would not consider scratchy rental gym towels and similarly scratchy skeets to be luxurious. The cotton bedspreads were better, but not exactly a luxury. The available hdmi port on the TV didn't work and the TV doesn't have any streaming, just a minimal DirectTV subscription. We just used a laptop and the DirectTV hdmi cord. The wifi doesn't work too well in the ground floor/game room area, so that wasn't an option while playing pool. A big issue is they do not use pet friendly salt (despite this being a pet friendly unit), but instead use an ice salt that is toxic to pets. So I also had to sweep all that up (after picking up dog poop from someone else's dogs). Given all this, even with an off season rate I would not say this rental is a good value for what you pay. We've rented a lot of houses, so I say this with some comparisons in mind.

Christmas gift to kids

This place is perfect. If you are taking a pet, this place is exactly what you need. Fenced in back yard and lots of area for them to roam. This cabin is completely secluded yet close to trails and stores. I have no complaints and I would definitely stay here again.

Family Stay

Absolutely amazing cabin, the fenced in backyard was perfect for our furry family members. They was able to be outside and we didn't have to stress about them wandering to far and being secure. The cabin was perfect for the entire family. Internet was very spotty majority of the time but was able to do what we needed for the most part. Property was just as described on the ad. We will definitely return to this cabin and company for our future rentals. Thank you, this was a amazing family trip.

This cabin was really nice, tucked in the woods with a lot of privacy. Its location is perfect near every attraction and trail, and with coffee emporium right down the stree!

We had an amazing time at the cabin! My husband and mother absolutely loved it! Peaceful! Cabin is beautiful! Had everything we could possibly need! Our bulldog Angelo loved the fenced yard and we loved it too! We're already planning another trip! Thanks so much for everything!

Loved it!

We traveled with an infant and toddler so it was crucial to have things clean and near by. This cabin is in the perfect spot for all kinds of activities! We felt at home having lots of extra towels and a stocked kitchen. The fenced in yard also put our mind at ease. Only difficulty we had was accessing check in information due to lack of service once at the cabin - I should have thought about that ahead of time! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Love the wrap-around deck

Beautiful cabin finish inside & out. The loft was not hot as I feared it might be. Very hot & humid outside & cozy cool inside. I had to clean up after the previous dog, but not the owners fault. The fenced in yard & deck was perfect for my dog. Loved the porch swing & quiet peaceful location with my morning coffee.

Relaxing family getaway

Beautiful, fully appointed cabin. My family and i had a great time playing games, sitting by the fire, hiking and soaking in the hot tub. My dog had her first family vacation. It was great to play with her in the fenced backyard. Highly recommend!

Great House Near Everything

Our annual trip to Hocking Hills but this time my sister brought her one year old pup. The house is set up perfectly for a dog with the deck and yard fenced and secured. The pup was able to be on the deck or down the steps into the back yard. The access to the yard from the lower bedroom was wonderful for taking the pup out at night without waking everyone else upstairs. The house has everything you could or would ask for. It is conveniently located near the Coffee Oasis and within 6 miles of Old Man's Cave and a couple of miles from the Walmart. A very positive note about the management company. We arrived after dark our first night and noticed that the floodlights at the bottom of the outside stairs did not work making it dangerous at night. We called the next morning and a nice gentleman was out early the same day to fix them. Will definitely stay here again.

The pictures are deceiving!

This cabin would be better described as standard. The house has significant wear and tear and it does not feel like a luxury cabin. Overall repairs from previous stays are evident but were not sufficiently repaired. There is not enough seating in the living room for 5 people and the furniture is worn out. The main bathroom had a broken GFS that tripped whenever in use. The kitchen had minimal cooking equipment of cheap quality. The bath towels were small and cheap. The home was not evenly heated making a winter stay cold and the basement freezing. The TV in the game room did not work and the internet went out for most of the stay. The staff did not reply for to a request for service until the end of the stay. If you want a five star experience keep looking and don't waste your money on this cabin.

Winter break family get a way

Awesome experience! Great cabin, great location. Very clean! Great amenities! (kitchen supplies for family of 6!) Super cozy blankets! Great enclosed area for your dog- very safe. Hot tub was amazing- and after my family of 6 used it multiple times a day, owners were very accommodating to come back to service it mid-week. SO happy with our winter get a way- close to parks and hiking!

Relaxing family weekend

The overall ease of booking this property was fantastic! The day we were to arrive, I received a call from the property management team just to make sure I received my check in information. I appreciated this since I somehow deleted the email. The house was in great condition and my family thoroughly enjoyed the weekend hanging out on the porch. We spent most of our time out on the porch just talking and laughing for hours. The location is just far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet but close enough to restaurants and a few stores for those last minute items. We loved this house so much that this will be our first choice to rent for our annual Hocking family trip.

Gorgeous Secluded Property

Our family and I stayed here for 4 days to hike and explore hocking hills. The property was very close to all attractions, and accessible to stores for grocery needs. The house is surrounded by beautiful trees and it was very peaceful. The home was very clean and check-in process was great. Our dogs loved the yard and large wrap around deck! Hot tub was nice and clean! Make sure you bring any seasonings you may need for cooking! We assumed there would be some of those items but had to run into town to grab that. Not an issue just wanted to note for others!

Wedding weekend

We had a wedding nearby and this was a great place for eight of us and also our dogs. We could relax on the wraparound porch with the dogs and they could run down to the yard whenever they wanted to.
