This is possibly the most charming hotels and place I can remember staying. It’s an old building in a harsh Scottish environment and that is part of its charm. If you want pristine decoration it’s not for you. If you want excellent hospitality, fantastic staff and walls full of the owner’s original art, go. Walk the Crinan trail - the view from the viewpoint is one of the best on a clear day (it is a steep walk though).
A genuine Scottish gem.
Room was lovely with a sea view good big bed and comfortable. The gentleman who checked us in wasn’t very cheery and seemed very severe otherwise we always enjoy coming here as the food is always great.
The man in front of house very miserable and grumpy. He didn’t have an ounce of customer service in him. The hotel overall grossly overpriced. Extremely dated very small tv. Breakfast was actually disgusting

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Expensive for what they offer in regards to the bedrooms and bathrooms, they rely on the stunning location to overcharge & offer substandard accommodation. Great location & could be a great hotel if they upgraded.
Beautiful location and a real treat to lie in bed and look out the window to the sea.
Breakfast was lovely.

The views were spectacular, staff were excellent and could not do enough for you meals were delicious, the hotel is quite tired looking and could do with a fresh look, but it wouldn't stop me from visiting again. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the two nights we were there.
