Disappointed with the city

Unfortunately, my stay was shorter than planned. I visited Lloret and stayed in AQUA less than a full day. The city was really packed with people around their 20s, which was not the vibe my girlfriend and I were looking for, and the infrastructure was just terrible. At the end of the day, we returned to Barcelona because the hotel didn't offer parking (they only have like 8 spots) and there was just no way to find parking in the city. I felt like the hotel staff could have informed us about this. On the contrary, they reassured us that parking would be super easy and we had to look for a place to park from 9 pm until 11 pm and then give up. Besides, the hotel kept a loud cover of party musics playing all they long in the pool and the walls a super thin. When we left for Barcelona at midnight the music was still playing.

Good for 3 stars, but not for four

First of all: never use their transfer service (it is named "from2"). Our trip from Barcelona airport to drop point took us 5.5 hours!!! It was awful! Bus driver passed by a place where he finally dropped us 3 times! He dropped us in 6 blocks from the hotel and just show us the approximate direction. So we had to ask police where we were and where the hotel was located. So I recommend to use "sarbus". Pros: Premium room was very good and had good pool view. Mattress on the bed was awesome. Fresh renovation. Hotel location is good. Cons: food wasn't really tasty. It was tasteless. Fruits were disgusting. I could eat melon and watermelon only. I don't know should seafood (shrimps, mussels, etc) in paella be peeled or not but it is not cool to eat rice mixed with fragments of mussel's shell. Restaurant staff was not really polite. It was restricted to drink your own drinks near the pool. Even water. Most of the guests were seniors.

Nice hotel with friendly staff

We just returned from Lloret de Mar where we stayed for 10 days in Bertran Hotel. It is a fairly small hotel in the heart of the city with a very good and affordable meals plan (we took a combination of breakfast and dinner) and super friendly and helpful staff. They were super helpful and went out of their way to respond to every question and every request that we had. Everyone from the front desk to the cafeteria staff made everything they could to make our stay pleasant and were sweet and nice with our kids. Their English was limited but there were no actual barriers just some adjustment in communication. One thing you may want to know is that some double rooms have half wall between the bedroom and the bathroom made out of glass and totally transparent so it is not a good room for adult and a child. We asked to change rooms and were immediately moved to a nice 5th (top) floor room with a more traditional style walls. There are also rooms right next to the elevator but elevators are modern so I am not sure if this is noise to be concerned about. There were comfortable seats and tables at the swimming pool and at the bar. Everything was super clean and we felt welcome there. I would definitely stay there again if I visit Lloret de Mar in the future.

OK hotel, close to the beach, mostly 65+ crowd

This is an OK hotel -about 10 minutes walk from the beach, rooms are good size and the cleaning lady does a good job too. There are a lot of small irritating things though that totally spoil your experience. There are just 2 elevators in this 5-story building, they are tiny and very slow. The crowd is mostly people with average age of 65+, you might want to consider it when you do the booking.The Wi-Fi is not free (8 euros a day), the safe in the room you also have to pay to use (we didn't even ask how much and lived without it). The entrance to the parking garage is located at the end of a one-way street, but entering the garage is impossible for anything bigger than a small sedan. Lucky for us, the police station was nearby, the policemen seeing our difficulty stopped the traffic, told us to go to a crossing street and enter the garage from there.The entrance itself is very small and steep. The worst thing though is the food. We had breakfast and dinner there figuring it was a good deal since it was so cheap (about 7 extra euros a day for 2 people). They have a buffet for both breakfast and dinner, but the food is blah, most of it made from canned food, tasted terrible (it made a striking contrast with our dining in Barcelona where the food was delicious), the seafood entrees were especially bad - greasy and overcooked. Another caveat - the drinks are not included at dinner, you have to pay for EVERYTHING, including water (not cheap).The wine was also blah, except Rioja.

The hotel is not really for families

If you travel with a family aiming to get rest then it is not the place for that. The major part of the guests are young and poorly cultured guys from Germany who slip during the day, but wake up at the evenings and drink all the night. You should expect extremely noisy nights including group screaming/singing, breaking glass bottles and firing petards. The hotel security is very responsive trying to do its best though. We had to even call police one day. But it did not really help.

El hotel es maravilloso con la calidad de precio esta super bien situado y el personal fue maravilloso todos nos trataron muy amablemente. Teníamos una persona discapacitado y la locación fue perfecta. Lo recomiendo 100% seguro volveremos

Fantastic hotel with lovely staff and excellent food service. The only minor gripe that I had was the towels were washed out grey and the bedding was not the best. The room was also a little tired but clean.
