Generally speaking I was very impressed with the Lawton & Lauriston Court Hotel. All of the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice. A few minor points of attention to detail would change my rating from good to excellent. For example the wallpaper in our room was peeling away above the radiator, the stairs needed a vaccum and it would have been nice if the bed had been remade each day. Would these points stop me from staying there again? Certainly not, and I would recommed to anyone.

As soon as we arrived to book in was greeted by a lovely lady with blonde hair, (forgot her name) our room was spotless and the sea view was amazing, we had flowers and wine ready in our room which was lovely (arranged it with Leo the general manager) breakfasts were delicious, especially the cheese omelettes, was so good we booked an extra night, all the staff were amazing, can’t wait to book again very soon, we didn’t want to come home 😥

Staff were very helpful and friendly, made us feel really welcome. The room was a good size (superior double) with great sea views and it was very clean. Having a cozy bar with reasonable prices and the use of a free pool table was an added bonus. The hotel is great for relaxing and people watching.

We had room 11 red and it was spotless, kingsize bed which was great large shower and plenty of room in the bathroom and bedroom. Would definitely stay again. If your not to good with stairs this room is no good for you as three flights of stairs. Staff very friendly all together a really good experience. Thank you.

Issues with the rooms include, holes in the wall, stained curtains, no working heating, Wifi doesnt reach the top floor properly so it stops working every 10 minutes or so, cracking/ peeling pain on the wall and a HUGE issue is the illegal fire exit which allows anyone access to our room as the fire escape goes through our hotel room. The breakfast was also served cold as if it was pre-made and reheated
