Unfortunately I did not stay at the property due to the poor condition of both rooms. I was checked in to a single room which was in no way worth the £88 I was charged. It was the size of a cupboard and badly needed maintenance. The mattress was terrible (I had to sit on it as nowhere else to sit). The decor in need of updating and there were cobwebs on the walls and ceiling. It was beyond depressing and like a cell. I asked the lovely receptionist if I could move rooms and she obliged straight away. I was put in a twin room which was bigger in size but again, smelt very bad of stale mould and damp and was filthy. Even the TV was covered in dust. Neither bed was comfortable and in no way was it worth the money they were charging. I left the hotel so upset but felt so rude and awkward asking to move again as there were so many people about. I must stress the receptionist was absolutely lovely and it’s not her fault at all the hotel is overpriced and in such bad repair. I found a stunning room for only £10 more than I was charged at this hotel, including a gorgeous breakfast, air conditioned and stunningly modern room and just absolutely above and beyond this hotel. I went back and checked my bag out, the receptionist was really lovely and I just couldn’t bring myself to ask for a refund as I’d had a 5 hour drive and was exhausted. How the owners can charge £88 for any room when they are in such bad condition is beyond me.

The staff were friendly, but the hotel itself was dirty and unclean.Our room was lower level under dining room ,we were kept up most of night because of noise,and the room was hot as windows were painted shut,also would think a fire hazard if fire was in corridor.

Bed really comfy and pillows. Appeared clean. The room itself was dirty and I requested they come clean it to which a nice polite lady did. The window area outside on balcony was full of thick seagull poo and debris. Spoils the view to be honest. Shower good and bathroom clean. The coffee machine dirty and also no mention of additional charge for coffee pods on the literature, it just say for more coffee etc please ask reception. They tried to charge £1 for each coffee drink. This is actually a superior room and comes with the coffee machine so to charge extra is not fair in my view. The stay was fine on the whole

Initially, we did not get the room that we requested in advance - one with a walk in shower. We were moved to another room with a shower, but it looked like it had not been serviced thoroughly as on opening a drawer there were used cotton wool balls in it that had been used to remove make up! Floors looked very dusty in both bedroom and bathroom. You have to ask if you want your room serviced each day - we did so and only the beds were made. No clean towels or clean cups (usual basic standard for a room service?) Another room in our party experienced a leak from the floor above which required them to be moved. They were upgraded to a superior room which was a lot cleaner than a standard room. The breakfast was good: sausages, bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs and baked beans were on offer, but no mushrooms or tomatoes. Also available: cereals, yoghurts, fruit, croissants and mini muffins alongside the toast. Coffee was a letdown (yes, I am a coffee snob) as it was a hot water urn with instant coffee sachets (same as in the rooms) Not the best of hotels we've stayed in. The rooms looked very tired. Possibly it is in the middle of a refurb? Not sure. The beds were comfy and there was a fan in the room (if you are taking your dogs with you, be aware there is no air-conditioning so the rooms would get quite warm) The downstairs lounge/bar/restaurant area looked okay and fairly tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Smelly stay at the Seashore

My room was in the basement. It was stuffy and airless with no opening window. The bathroom smelled of drains. The decorating in the bathroom was unfinished. On each of the two days when I returned to the room I found human faeces in the toilet which has not been there when I left. It stank. The carpet in the room was dirty.

Suitable for a night

Arriving we found it easy to park although the area leading into the car park was tight due to bumpy curb and cars parked on the opposite side. Entrance to the hotel from the rear included a leaking pipe dripping into the doorway and the halls smelt musty. Receptionist took name, payment and gave key with no information about breakfast, WiFi and site facilities. Upon entering the room we found it to smell of cigarettes, possibly due to being on the front and people smoking below, the floor was extremely squeaky and made walking on it quite annoying, there had obviously been a leak on the ceiling as the wallpaper was bubbly and repair looked poorly done. The lamps and lighting worked well and the bedding was clean, although the mattress felt very springy and uncomfortable. 2 mirrors and a bag hold were helpful. Looked to be recently decorated. Bathroom small and smelly, possibly due to saniflow toilet. Didn’t use the shower or bath. There was a coffee machine and tea/coffee facilities.4 milk sachets were bitty when poured into hot drinks - we did not drink these. Nice view from the window and suitable for a night but I don’t think we would book to stay here again.

We were given a lower floor room that was so small that it felt like we werr dleeping in a cupboard. Room was dirty and smelled strongly of damp. As we arrived at 9pm there was no one on site to deal with our complaint, so had to wait until next morning before getting a room change. It was better but still dirty.

Pleasant stay in an excellent seafront location. Ideal for the theatre. It is a bit dated and the floor boards in our first floor room were seriously creaky. Clean however and comfortable.

The staff were great however the hotel needs renovation as there were cracks and patches in the walls, dirty carpets and the size of the rooms were very small. It was nothing as shown in the images. No toiletries were there apart from hand soap and soap for body and hair although the bedsheets were clean.
