This is a well-located and comfortable hotel, a very close walk to downtown Ljublijana. Our room was comfortable and there was a nice restaurant. The menu was small but the food was good. Breakfast was quite good. We stayed here for 2 nights on out Collette tour of Croatia and Slovenia.
Stayed here as part of a group. This is a former Intercontinental, and the finishes are still nice. Service was great and breakfast had anything you might want. Rooms are clean and up to date. Ten minutes walk has you right in the thick of the old town.
This hotel is not right in the old city center, which is why I liked it. A 10 minute walk will get you there or to the train/bus station. There is a decent restaurant as well as a cocktail bar. The staff were super pleasant unlike some of the places overrun with tourists. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well appointed. I had a great view of Tivoli park.
I spent three nights in Hotel Lev, giving a two day course on the 13th floor. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, facilities were above average and attentive, with a good range of food available. Very close to the city centre which is traffic free, with a great range of restaurants. I was amazed by the friendly Slovenian people and the clean city, and an atmosphere so relaxing not found in our modern world. I would be happy to take a break there rather than my usual business trips.
There might be posher hotels in the city - there are - but this one has amazing service. The crew really made me feel welcome and they made my stay so easy. I left the hotel every day with a smile on my face. Restaurant is worth visiting. Again, amazing service! But the food is great as well. If you love octopus, that´s the choice. Rooms are spacious, also good rooms for smokers.
The best thing of this Hotel is its Staff: helpful, kind and always ready to help. That being said the Hotel looks old pretty much everywhere including entrance/lobby and the rooms. Dinner options very poor (most of the menu items were not available). I suggest to shape up a.s.a.p. in order not to lose customers fast
High quality large rooms with separate lounge area. All the expected room extras including bath robes, slippers etc and complimentary toiletries if you have forgotten something. Super breakfast. Good service.
This is very pleasant hotel. From the moment one step into the lobby it is clear this is a well maintained establishment. I stayed in junior suite that was airy, full of natural light, spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathroom is of the nice size with basic amenities. I enjoyed breakfast with great choice of food and drinks. Check in and check out was a breeze.
Overall it's a good hotel. Dated but OK. It's in the center, but my room didn't really make good on the views. No city panorama for me. Staff were helpful and kind. Garage was OK, and it's a plus for a city center destination. Food was OK but not great. Walking about is easy, there's a lot to see and do, and the city itself is easy to navigate.
Went with friends for a long weekend. The hotel is very well positioned just outside the Old Town being a few minutes slow walk to it. Reception extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel itself is clean and well equipped with a good relaxing bar area. Prices are reasonable and not too inflated compared to the Old Town bars. Bedrooms are large with good selection of TV channels and the bathroom has a good shower/ bath option. Breakfast could be better, though it is I would say average but limited in choice. We tried one night to eat in due to extreme weather conditions and had to return the chicken that was not cooked as did another table of guests also. Room prices were very good and our time there was very pleasant. Ljubljana itself is small though the people extremely friendly and English is spoken everywhere. The jewel in the trip was a short train journey (approx. one hour) to Lake Bled, more than worth the day trip. A beautiful area with many bars, restaurants, walks and a little boat ride to the island. In reality you could stay there for a weekend. Ljubljana, excellent for two nights, as we stayed three, Lake Bled was a perfect companion.
