We had planned to visit the Terracotta Army exhibition and enjoyed a great two-day trip with friends. Comfort and cleanliness was evident as soon as we arrived. The menu in the restaurant was extensive, reasonably priced and beautifully cooked. Breakfast, especially the sausages, was delightful and the staff all showed such a pleasant manner and sense of humour that we agreed a return visit would certainly be on our menu. congratulations to the owners on providing such a gem.

My ill husband and I stayed here for one night. From start to finish we felt comfortable and cared for. The room at the front was immaculately clean and cosy, the bed was comfortable and little touches like a proper teapot and a snack basket were most welcome. We dined with family in the dining room the food was excellent as was the service. The menu was varied but not overwhelming and reasonably priced. My husband was enticed to eat more than he had in weeks! Can’t recommend this hotel and restaurant. Many thanks for a memorable stay.

We held my Uncles wake here and I couldn't be more happy with the service we received. All the staff were excellent, friendly, compassionate and efficient. The food and drinks served were delicious. Hotel itself is clean and comfortable. Staff very approachable. My room was huge and comfortable. Breakfast the following day was beautiful, very easy to choose what you wanted to eat from fruit, cereal, pastries and cooked breakfast items. The full english breakfast I particularly enjoyed, the bacon and sausage having a lot of flavour. The hotel is an older building meaning there's no lift and as such access with mobility issues is tricky however I managed with my stick and the staff were so quick and eager to help me too and they did so with careful consideration. Being neither too quick or too held back from offering help and accepting a no thank you when I gave it.

This was a popular venue for us but quite a long time since we dined here. Pleased to say that all is just as before. New decor but rooms all the same shape and layout. Plenty of seating in the bar and reception area with familiar staff and we received a very friendly welcome. The menu for the set dinner had plenty of choice and also the al a carte menu was well presented. The hotel prides itself on good food and service. Crisp white nappery and fine table settings. We were pleased to see that the restaurant was quite busy as was the bar area. Definitely will not leave it too long before we return.

we stayed here for 3 nights and it was wonderful, ALL staff from reception, bar, restaurant and cleaners were polite and attentive. The public areas and room were spotless, the food was wonderful, 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners and no complaints whatsoever, the fillet steak on our last night was one of the best we have had. Would highly recommend this family run hotel, the owners were on holiday and James and all the staff were a credit to them. We will return in the future. Thank you Grove House.

We have just come back from a family stay in Wallasey at The Grove House Hotel. I had eaten at the hotel many years ago which was great, but this time we booked rooms and stayed at the Hotel. The rooms were really lovely - very comfortable, with ample tea and coffee (and lots of milk) and complimentary biscuits etc left in the room. Every need was catered for - a great iron and ironing board found in a cupboard saved a call to reception, and a great hairdryer in the room. The cost was very reasonable and I have paid triple the amount abroad and not had the comforts that the Grove provided. If we visit The Wirral again - we wouldn't look anywhere else. And there reception staff and Night porter were excellent.

Had our work Christmas party here a few weeks ago. Really welcoming, wonderful place. Beautiful hot food served very promptly and professionally despite it being filled to the rafters with happy, partying guests. DJ and entertainment was very good. The suite and bar, etc were immaculate and beautifully decorated and everybody in our large party had a fabulous evening. Easy to locate, found car parking easily and can highly recommend this hotel as a venue for any type of celebration or evening out. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

This was our second visit to this hotel and because it was satisfactory on our first about 6 years ago we decided to use it again and how pleased we did it had the same ownership not a company owned hotel and a lot of the same staff were still working there it had under gone refurbishment and we were pleasantly surprised our room was very clean and comfortable and had the little extras there are always welcome kettle and tea coffee and biscuits plus bottled water and crisps plus fresh milk if required also toiletries in the bathroom ,the bed was comfortable and room was dark to aid sleep with curtains closed . It has a pleasant little bar not over priced with comfortable chairs. The breakfast was very good all freshly cooked to order and a wide choice of cereals and and juices fresh fruit etc . On our second night we were having a drink in the bar were we met the owner Nick what a nice man ! along with the rest of the staff it’s worth to stay there just to be valued as a customer. If you want to have dinner there book in good time as it’s very popular with the local people and restaurant fills up quickly

I booked this venue for New Years Eve with some trepidation as I hate going out on New Year. How wrong I was The room ,decorations food , service disco were all FIRST CLASS. I could not fault anything and will book again for next year

Eight of us attended a party night for New Year's Eve at the Grove House Hotel. It was a fantastic night with amazing food. It was a hot buffet but we were served at our table lovely horderves, followed by soup or sorbet. Then we wenr up by table for the buffet which was an amazing carvery with four meats and all the trimmings. This was then followed by a trio of deserts which were very generous in their portion size. Followed by fudge, mints and coffee. The tables were decorated with fun balloons, streamers and horns and a disco followed. A great evening with lovely staff and fabulous food,
