We were charged £400 for 2 rooms for 1 night. We had numerous issues, I could write a chapter on them. We did bring them to the managers attention. He tried to speak to the owner but didn’t have any success. The bar man a large surly guy came out to reception and intervened. He had managed to speak to the owner. He told us we could have a full refund but you get out now. We were unable to leave because it was 11.45pm and we had had alcoholic drinks with our dinner so we would have been over the legal limit. Problems: lights in rooms not working, room door sticking in open position. No wardrobe, no clothes hanging space, doors on the shower cubicle didn’t close fully. Had to pay an extra £6pp if we wanted breakfast. We’d paid £400 and then was told breakfast not included. Safe to say the “beech mount hotel” gets a negative rating from me. I wasn’t the only person complaining at this time. A seperate family was also involved. Luckily they had family who were living locally and were picked up. I wouldn’t let my pets stay there. I will post photos shortly.

We had originally planned to stay two nights but one was more than enough ! Beds were awful. Room outdated and scruffy Breakfast was no better !!, We couldn't wait to check out We had a drink at the bar and the poor barmaid covered herself in tonic. The front door of hotel kept blowing open and we sat freezing while waiting for our taxi.

Great hotel excellent staff lovely food awesome bar. Only thing that let it down the light in the room didn’t work all the time. Apart from that would highly recommend this place definitely coming back

Absolutely disgusting place, rude staff, scruffy hotel, everything mismatched. Would avoid avoid avoid...ruined what should have been a lovely weekend. Was extremely noisy, bathroom window was smashed and the loo didn't work properly. Such a shame as is situated exactly where we needed.

I planned a surprise trip for my partner's birthday and booked a night's bed and breakfast in the Beach Mount Hotel which was advertised as an executive hotel. On the way there the taxi driver asked us why we had chosen it. At reception waiting to sign in another guest was complaining about her room. Our room: minute room, bed broken and mattress extremely uncomfortable, no kettle, no remote control for TV. No heating on (in November), bathroom dirty, urine on the floor. We had to call the manager twice who did try. Breakfast and drinks were cold and croissants stale. Breakfast staff seemed to be totally uninterested and stood chatting. Not a hotel we would go back to or recommend.

On entering the room it smelt and looked really clean. The heating was on and everything seemed fine until we sat on the beds. There were 3 single beds as we needed a family room with our 18 year old daughter. They were all really noisy if you moved and 1 really sagged in the middle. In the middle of the night the headboard fell off the sagging bed disturbing what sleep we may have had. We got very little or no sleep. We wouldn't go here again.

Hotelwas ok for a short stay staff were lovely food was lovely very dated hotel , hotel is basically three big houses converted to a hotel ,rooms are basic not in the best condition but clean we were in the attic and there are no lifts . The bar is small but cost was a good nights Craic in there except for the locals hanging about and asking for drink and cigarettes when u go Outisde it’s a bit away from city centre and taxi is about a ten pound one way we stayed here to take son over to uni and I prob would again if I couldn’t get anywhere else

The room was comfortable and modern, warm and quiet! We travel up to watch Liverpool football in the champions league match 6th December 2017. We stayed at the hotel more through convince to be honest, but so glad we stayed. I stayed with my two sons, both of them had stayed here before and recommend it to me. It was close to Anfield so we could walk to and from the ground. My son parked his car in the complementary parking, which was right outside our room. We arrived at 3pm was greeted with a smiling face whom was very happy to help, as we had our match tickets delivered to the concierge with great ease and relief to all of us! We were shown our room after checking in which was quick and made easy. The room was warm and comfortable we had a lovely sleep after the thrilling match 7-0!! In morning the water was hot for us to have a shower. Tea and coffee are available in the room. We had booked breakfast which was a buffet style, a wide verity to choose from, the a full English! Nice way to finish our short stay! Would recommend this hotel and we will return for the next time we watch Liverpool!! Thank you to all the staff and management! Wayne, Kieren & Miles Hubbard

We booked through a family apartment/room for 3 nights at the Sheil Suites. To check-in you have to walk (2/3rds of a mile from there) to the Beech Mount Hotel which owns the Sheil Suites. On arrival I was told that they changed the booking to a room directly at the hotel. The girl behind the desk made it sound like a favour to us, and told us that there are no differences what so ever and it is even better at the hotel... In general the hotel looks very dated (it even had several broken windows). After all of this I can't recommend to stay here.. The photos of the family room we booked for the Sheil suites showed a large, modern, bright room with loads of windows and a seating corner. The room given to us was very small (you barely had room to walk between the beds), very dark and very dated under the roof. The radiator in the room was broken (on full and couldn't be turned down or off and with a loud gurgling noise which kept us awake the whole night. Especially not great for our 10 year old). The next day we were thankfully moved to a slightly better room, where there was no heating and no hot water.. Even after asking the clerk at 9pm, I was told the only thing he could to do was to offer us, that we could have showers at a different room the next day if it persists... After a freezing night and morning without warm water, the next day the same clerk finally remembered that there might be a hidden boiler in the room (behind a bed-side table is a "hidden" door) that you had to switch on yourself! So at least after 2 nights of 3 of discomfort we finally were able to have a shower when we wanted and a working heating. If that wasn't enough the clerks didn't communicate with each other that we had been moved from room 20 to apartment 4.. so our key cards didn't work anymore when arriving back from town the last day... I have to be honest some of the staff were very helpful and friendly, but when it was needed, we didn't receive any help. All in all not an experience you want when going on holidays with your family.. I am a frequent traveler and like short city trips. I can say this was by far the worst experience I had...

I have no idea how this is a four star hotel, i wouldn't even give it one! The restaurant was very poor we walked out after having to wait an hour for two starters and there were both wrong, we did not receive a apology. The room was very small, no hot water at all in the shawer. The water in the sink took 30 minutes to drain away. You could feel the wind coming in through the windows which made it feel very cold. You was being woken up at all hours of the night by doors slamming shut and also the traffic from the road just outside. So as a tip i would recommend to never stay at this hotel!
