Cozy in the hills of Cape Litchfield

A classic 1930’s Cape Cod home located in the beautiful Litchfield Hills. Litchfield Green is a five minute drive where you can enjoy antiquing, dining, shopping, and relaxing in the picturesque town center. If hiking and outdoor activities are more your thing we are also minutes for White Memorial Foundation and Topsmead National Forest is right around the corner. Mohawk Mountain Ski Area is 12 miles away.

The space:
The Storybook Cape is comfortable, cozy and charming with the convenience of uptown Litchfield just 3 miles away. Perfectly located, close to all the action but far enough for privacy and quiet nights.

The home has a brand new fully equipped kitchen, remodeled bathroom, hardwood floors and fresh paint throughout. The main living space has a TV, WiFi and a cozy dinning space. Both bedrooms have multiple windows, AC window units, a comfortable amount of space and lovely natural light.

There is a washer/dryer to use if need be.

Great for any and all travelers...kids as well! Pets are allowed but MUST be crated when left alone. We will provide a crate if need be.

Beautiful home.

We had a lovely stay. The house was immaculate and the host Liz was available and responded immediately to any Q’s we had. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. A wonderful state forrest was just one mile away and our dog loved it! Would highly recommend.

Charming cottage with well equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and was exactly as pictured. Modern fixtures and appliances throughout. Kitchen was spacious with everything you need. Close to town. A great all season home. We hope to be back soon!

Probably one of my best, if not the best, experience renting homes. House is on the smaller side but has everything you could need. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. nice backyard with a small stream going through it. Super tranquil and quiet. Liz was super nice, responsive, and generous. Will def go back.

Perfect Home for a Weekend Get Away

Had a great stay at the Cozy Cape this past weekend. The home is impeccably clean and very nicely decorated. Liz was very responsive and nice to work with. The house is a short drive from restaurants and the downtown area. Also, close to local wineries. We did a girls weekend here and would definitely return.

Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! Everything about this property is amazing. It's ultra modern design throughout, amenities (especially the washer and dryer) and location are all amazing. Best of all it's sparkling clean! It's a well loved and cared for property and close enough to Litchfield and it's large grocery store not to feel cut off but far enough out to be very tranquil. It's a great base to explore Connecticut, we took a trip to Essex for the Stream Train and boat ride, and the local area has plenty to do, including horse riding. We were on a "leaf peeping" tour and rural location gave us plenty to smile about. There is parking on sight and the check-in was effortless. The host was amazing leaving us out some essentials, and cake,for our arrival and her communication before and during our stay was outstanding. We found the information she left out about the local area also very helpful. This is a high spec property for a very reasonable price and we highly recommend staying here.
