I would stay here again without hesitation!

We could not brag enough about this place! It was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly! Lynn was fabulous! We took her advice on where to go and what to see and had the best time! We will definitely be back!

My wife and I have been traveling across Scotland and Ireland, staying in a mix of high-end and boutique hotels. The Rathbaun Hotel was by far the warmest and most welcoming of them all. While the building is a bit older, it’s incredibly well maintained — everything was clean, solid, and cared for. Even the bathroom silicone joints were spotless, which says a lot about the attention to detail. We stayed at far more “modern” hotels that looked nice from afar but were worn and dirty up close. Not here. The staff were the true highlight. We arrived late around 10 PM, and an older gentleman came out to the street, saying they were worried and waiting for us. While I parked the car, he carried two 55lb suitcase's upstairs — an act of kindness I won’t forget. The woman working downstairs was equally lovely, funny, and full of local recommendations that really made our trip special. And I have to mention the bed sheets — unbelievably soft, better than any we had at pricier hotels. If you’re all about trendy looks, this may not be your place. But if you care about genuine hospitality, cleanliness, and a great night’s sleep, this hotel is a hidden gem. Highly recommended.

This was a great stay if you are looking for something that is reasonably priced and near Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher. The receptionists were so kind and showed you to your room. The beds were very comfortable. 5/5!

This Hotel is one of the Best I’ve ever stayed in around the world A 3 star rated hotel with 5 star service the hotel is like walking back to the 70s and 80s in its decor presented in outstanding condition and the rooms in a spotless presentation The Management and staff treated us as guests in a most welcome manner I fully recommend this Hotel to any traveler that’s moving around Ireland

The hotel is within 25 minutes of several locations including the Cliffs and Fanore. Lynn and the staff are delightful, offering suggestions on places to go and eat, even looking at the weather to help with advice. Very friendly. I would go back at any time.

Lovely clean property in a quiet town close to lovely pubs. The staff was so nice and the breakfast was delicious especially the yogurt parfait with fruit and muesli. The stairway was a little difficult to navigate so be sure to ask for help as there is a door a few steps from the top. Be sure to visit the Roadside Tavern just around the corner for delicious"fancy" pub food and entertainment.

If you are looking for a nice quiet get away this place is for you. The town is so cute and everyone is really nice. The scenery is gorgeous. We stayed here to be close to the cliffs of Moher. Room was pretty basic but perfect for a one night stay. Owners were wonderful.

The Rathbaun is the best!

I’ve never stayed at a more friendlier, welcoming place. Lynn was very friendly and helpful. She told us about things to see that we otherwise wouldn’t have even bothered to. The Rathbaun is central to it all and the city of Lisdoovarna is charming and quaint.
