My husband and I visited Lisbon for 2 nights / 3 days, for my birthday and my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebrations. My parents we're staying in the Lisboa sister hotel next door. Both hotels are going through major renovations at present, and seem a long way off being finished. The Jardim, which seems to have had a name change in the last week, was missing most of the front of the hotel due to building work. We checked in through the temporary reception, and were advised we'd been upgraded. We were shown to a nice top floor room with a balcony. Our first impressions were good, looked clean and modern. It became apparent that it had been cheaply refurbished, the bathroom most noticeably poor. Unable to close the sliding door properly, leaking sink and ceiling. The air con blew out hot air and created more dripping in the bathroom. Disappointing to be charged for coffee and minimal supplies of tea bags and uht milk provided, not complimentary water either. I was left a cake and some port with a birthday note which was a nice touch. Not sure that made up for the constant drilling and banging from 8am- 11 pm though! Breakfast in Olivier was decidedly average and not worth paying for, better to eat out. On the plus side, the hotel was conveniently located, but way over priced particularly whilst all the building work was going on.
the hotel staff and rooms were excellent and have no complaints at all about the hotel. I do believe that I should have been informed that renovations were taking place and also that the pool was not available during the winter month.
The hotel is very good, staff is very friendly. I stayed for the 2nd time 5 days there. Unfortunately, during this time, the rooms were not cleaned very well, towels not changed and drink glasses not washed. Things which I would expect for a Hotel like Tivoli. The breakfast has still some room for improvement. But anyway, the location of the Hotel is great and I still can recommend it.
This is a 4 star hotel under renovation, so this review is based on the state of renovation it was when visited. In this respect there was no real reception (under construction) and there was no real Lobby and/or lounge, a guest could have a seat. I hope that when renovation is completed, there will be space available to the guests to sit. The rooms are pleasant, ours had a small balcony as well, although we were met with fresh paint smell when we first checked in. What is not well thought is the bathroom which is quite narrow and which requires agility to get in and out of the bathtub. I am afraid that this element will cause some grief to the hotel and its guests in the future. Breakfast is served at the adjoining "Olivier" restaurant which is very pleasant and where one can dine in style as well! The hotel is very centrally located and a good choice for somebody looking for prime location, so one can say that it's an averagely good hotel.
design room, for 1 Person OK - for 2 person too small (no place for luggage) close to downtown - walking distance very quiet - no noise price was excellent for the quality - what else do you want to know
We have now stayed 3 times in Lisbon in the last years and always choose the Tivoli Jardim. While it is currently under reform (March 2017), and the main entrance is not being used, everything was very confortable, the rooms tidy and the staff friendly and helpful. Normally you have a in-house gym, but currently, due to the reform, you have access to the closeby fitness center. It was nice to see that they worked hard on keeping the service level. We celebrated my mum's birthday during our stay and the staff had a lot of attention to detail, congratulating her and providing a very nice "celebration kit". Thank you once more for that. I look forward to go back to Lisbon and see the new reformed Tivoli Jardim
The hotel are under upgrade and repair, but you can hardy notice the work and there was no distraction. Friendy staf and an exelent restaurant in the hotel. We got a newly upgraded room and this room was superb and very clean. Good service and we will recomend the hotel to our friends. We also, like to visit this hotel on our next trip to Lisabon.
very good location. highly recommended , excellent staff, always ready to help.. very central and easy walk to restaurants, shops, museums , tube, taxi, all in hand. a 15 mnt taxi drive to airport (depending on traffic..
Tivoli Jardim is centrally located but very quiet. The staff are really friendly and helpful. This hotel offers great value for money. It was my birthday during our stay and they sent me a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a chocolate cake to our room! I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The staff is good-willing and friendly. Good location to stroll along the city. The rooms definitely do not correspond to a 4-star standard. Do not use the hotel phone as prices are extremely expensive.
