Stayed here with a group of friends for a girls weekend away. We had the 3 bedroom villa which was clean and well decorated and all rooms were en suite The Bakery on site is absolutely amazing and we had fresh bread and cakes from there every day. We had pizzas and a pasta dish from the restaurant and the food was really tasty. The mini market was ok for our weekend needs but if staying self catering for a week you'd probably need to shop at a bigger supermarket. The only downside to the hotel is it's location. There is not much directly around to see/do but a cab/uber to cascais (6 euro) or Lisbon (30 euro) is not bad at all
We stayed for 2 nights in a very nice studio apartment which was the perfect size for myself, husband and 1 year old. It was very well equipped and clean. A travel cot which looked brand new was provided which was great. The resort is very quiet so will not suit everyone. We spent the rest of the week in Cascais so we wanted something outside of town for 2 nights and were very happy with our choice. Cascais is a short taxi journey away. The pools were both lovely with loads of beds, umbrellas and space. We ate in the restaurant one night and coffee shop and enjoyed both. We also found the mini market good value for an onsite shop. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall we really liked the resort and will return. The only bad point was the kids playground was in poor condition and needed a lot of repairs. Also the surface used was not great and when my daughter fell she got a bad cut. But this was a very small part of a really nice stay.
Very well maintained, first class service, and perfect for a real getaway from it all break. Luxury accommodation opening out directly onto the pool. Fantastic bakery/coffee shop, good minimarket and good family friendly restaurant all on site. 10 mins max by taxi (6E) to Cascais. Reception staffed til midnight, will help with all information and booking, all speaking excellent English.
Well constructed, lovely gardens, various options for couples and families of all sizes. Some nice amenities...restaurant, cafe, laundry ..not that far from local beaches and golf courses... All sounds sort of right and yet ....it isn't. Not if you are looking for somewhere with a little bit of life. This resort is a little far out of town so it needs a heart of its own to bring it to life, a bar or late night cafe ....but it doesn't so it sort of dies post 8.00pm. If you are looking for peace and quiet and total relaxation then one cannot complain but if you want just the incy-wincyist bit of spice then this place lacks soul.......
I hate holiday resorts but this was booked by my wife. One reason it was selected, it accepts pets. The resort is a guarded compound, main gate security, but only closed after midnight. There are residents who live there all year round and people from Lisbon who only come for the weekend and then paying guests. There are studio flats, small, medium and large bungalows for rent. The studio that we booked was well equipped for a self catering holiday if that is your thing. There was a small kitchen equipped for 4 persons. A bedroom area with 2 large singles cunningly turned into a nice size double bed. The living room area had a soft bed, coffee table and a dining table and 4 chairs. The small balcony had a small table and 2 chairs. We used the kitchen for my morning and afternoon tea. Every other meal we ate out at a variety of different places in and around Cascais. A car is a must unless you just want to veg by the pool of which there are 2. The local cafe and restaurant were very good and well priced considering they were inside the compound. The pools were quiet during our stay and there were plenty of empty sun beds. Doubt it during summer months. The only thing that was off putting was the jetted bath tub, which was too high to step into or out of without care. Older people may find it very hard to do. I don't know if there is the option of walk in shower. The studio did show signs of age but in a nice rustic way rather than broken.
This was a one night business related stay, so i didn't get a chance to experience all of the amenities. But the villa was very spacious, clean and seemed very homely. The reception was very friendly and took the time to answer all of my questions. Unfortunately we didn't have the chance to experience the breakfast from the bakery- wish they were open more often!
The location is perfect for who enjoy a walk, golf, beach and quiet place. This resort is located in a very luxurious neighbourhood. Inside the resort there is a supermarket, bakery, laundry service, swimming pool, kids playground (old and needing refurbishment) and even an hair salon. Also there is a restaurant inside the resort however I would recommend to make the meals at home or somewhere else Daily cleaning service, and they really clean!!! Very good security and very good wifi internet. The house have everything you may need, a very completed kitchen (microwave, dishwasher, oven, bread toaster, juice maker and all kitchen ware) Very cosy backyard with a table and chairs. I recommend this place if you are looking for a place near Lisbon for small or big families. I would advice to have your own transportation vehicle. You can also receive some friends for dinner as you are at your own place.
If you are looking for a resort that even when it is full, doesn't feel busy, then Vila Bicuda is the place for you. Cleverly designed with all Villas surrounding the Pools, easy access to pools via the Villa garden doors, and vast grass areas. We booked a 2 bedroom Villa, the decor was in line with the resort, fully equipped and with wi-if (very good speeds according to my children). It's a self catering resort, but you will find amenities within the resort. We ended up having breakfast everyday in the local Patisserie, well worth a visit! The resort itself is fairly near Cascais town centre (6-7 minutes by car) and Guincho beach (amazing for surf and kitesurfing). My Children and my wife absolutely loved it, and so did I!
We stayed in a one bedroom villa which was very nice, fully equipped and very clean. Villa had was cleaned every day with towels and bedding changed on a regular basis. The location was wonderful outside of Cascais which meant it was quiet and as we hired a car there was no problem in getting around. The on site bakery was superb with a large range of products freshly produced each day. The supermarket although small was very competitively priced and for bigger shops there is a Lidl five minutes away in a car. There are some very good local restaurants so you don't have to go into the touristy and often over priced Cascais to eat. The swimming pool we used was also spotlessly clean and well maintained with changing and toilet facilities if you need them. Also we had a visitor for our last five days and for a small fee the management arranged an extra bed to be brought in with extra towels also which was all done with no further reminding. Final point reception were always helpful when information was required. We would certainly stay here again.
This is a lovely place to holiday. The apartments are lovely. We stayed in a three bedroom and it was spacious and well equipped. It was cleaned each day if you chose to. It's a taxi from cascais which we knew about because we'd checked and it clearly stated on the web site. This was a bonus to us as it was quiet. The pools were excellent. I am not a complainer, but if you go to the onsite restaurant expect a long wait for mediocre food. A very long wait. If you go to the bakery, lovely produce, but don't expect a friendly approach. The lady wearing glaze tutted with impatience at my 76 year old father for not getting his change right. The shop, however, is convenient and the people who run this are really lovely. So go elsewhere to eat. Get as much bread, cakes etc. From the local Lidl so you don't 'trouble' the bakery, but don't hesitate to use the mini market for the shopping you need in between as its not a bad price and you get a smile. Just avoid bakery and restaurant. Reception were really great, from checking in, taxis the lot. Totally recommend. Just don't spend your money where you'll be looked down on.
