Amazing location, but the hotel is way overdue for renovation especially in the common areas. Staff was very helpful, but policies like having to pay 3 euro for a beach towel and every time you wanted it washed are at least strange. We had a nice stay overall. It could have been great if the owners would have made the much needed reinvestments.

Beautiful, classic hotel-food and bev disconnect.

Great rooms, stunning balcony views, really helpful front seats staff. It’s a truly beautiful hotel! The live music on Saturday nights is fun. The pool is beautiful and actually warm enough to swim in. The stairs down to the sea are nice and the swimming is fabulous. The older gentleman who offers shuttle rides to the port is so sweet and helpful. Unfortunately there is a total disconnect with the food and beverage team and the rest of the amazing staff. The breakfast that is included with your room, is supposed to run until 10:30, but you should really plan to be finished by 10:00, because that’s when the staff starts to break everything down and nothing gets refilled throughout the service, unless you ask. Every single day for 5 days, we had to ask for the tea caddy to be stocked and for the hot water to be filled. The regular water was also empty. The person working the breakfast isn’t interested in your experience at all. There are some very nice pastries but they are fairly picked over by 10:00, including the pool attendant collecting a large platter to place on the pool bar for throughly the day. There is not one single vegetable (not one!) and the fruit selection is very minimal, sliced oranges and 1 other rotating item. Most mornings, I just asked for a couple hard boiled eggs and that’s all I ate. After watching this for 4 days, on the 5th day, the breakfast host wouldn’t even give me a hard boiled egg. I did tell him I couldn’t eat anything else, but it didn’t matte

Super friendly staff with a great pool and "beach"

Super friendly staff, front desk, waiters/waitresses, drivers (Lillo and Giovanni), however a few disappointments, too. We are warned not to drink the tap water, but no bottled water is supplied (except for a fee). The air conditioning did not work on arrival but could not be fixed until the next morning. Wi-Fi works well... or not at all.

This unique setting is wonderful. With direct access to the emerald waters below and a sparkling pool, you won’t find a better setting. The views from the dining room and terraces are stunning. Lovely staff too. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Such a beautiful setting right on the sea! The chance to walk from the pool into the sea from the rocks was spectacular! A beautiful place and our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer. We would love to come back one day. What a helpful staff for us in a foreign place

This place is perfect -- each room's balcony overlooks the ocean, the rock beach is Instagram-perfect :) and the front desk and bar staff seem to genuinely want to help. If you go after the free shuttle hours, it's a 15-minute walk downhill into town, and a 15 euro cab ride back home at the end of the night. The food is good, the pool is big and the view is spectacular. I only wish we'd have stayed longer!

Great swimming pool and sea access. Rooms are a bit old fashioned but that was fine for us as we haven't spent much time in the room. The restaurant is average but everything else was great.

Beautiful views

Hotel Carasco is in a great location, just a 10 minute walk to town. The view are absolutely incredible. The accesss to the sea was easy and so beautiful. The pool and terraces were a perfect spot for evening Aperol Spritz. We loved our stay here.

Don't stay at the Carasco

The hotel is in a breathtaking location perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. Unfortunately that's the only good thing to say. The Carasco's rooms and common areas look like they were last updated in the 1980s and the furnishings are tattered and somewhat dirty. The bathrooms were small and out shower curtain was in worse shape than a college dormitory. The service at breakfast and lunch was slow...food was average which is hard to do in Sicily. The pool water was shocked with chemicals that literally stung my children and caused rashes. The area surrounding the hotel isn't great and walking into town was not convenient. The hotel shuttle was helpful...when available. After one night we checked out of the Carasco and the hotel manager forced us to pay for a 2nd night even though we expressed our dissatisfaction and outlined all of the issues. Hotel.com was no help and provided no recourse for such shocking deficiencies in the so-called 4 star Hotel Carasco.
