I was very satisfied. The room cleanliness was excellent. Everyone I dealt with was great. I would like, in particular, to express my appreciation to Ms. Begona Orihuela, the Guest Service Manager (She did an outstanding job), to Robin, the front desk manager, and to the wonderful gentleman who checked me in Thursday night (Friday morning) upon my arrival (He was very helpful).
I give Gran Melia my strongest recommendation.

We stayed in Xi'An during golden week! The hotel was wonderful. THey provided us a room updgarde on our arrival and even though our room was not ready they gave us a complimentary beverage while we waited a few minutes. The hotel was in walking distance to many sights which was perfect for us! The Concierge who was from Madison, WI gave us excellent dinner recommendations. The only down side was that the pool heater was broken so the kids coul dnot swim in the evenings. That would be our only complaint!
