We enjoyed our stay at D Sands Rentals, specifically at the Prawn Stars. I was expecting the room to be mediocre as it was explained from the rental agreement that the facility itself is old. We were surprised to see inside the room to be clean, specially the bathroom, kitchen area, and outside the facility as well. The tv program has Disney , the nightlight was modern style and the plug has a charger for your cellphone. The couch was comfortable as well as the beds. What we were disappointed from our stay was 1: The trundle bed’s ‘legs’ or stand had hairs stucked on them. The bedframe’s sheet was stained with dark brown-ish like old blood. 2: The PM staff who was supposed to be there to assist the customers was rude. When we arrived, the open parking area was packed, except for the disabled carports. A nice lady, I’m guessing she was the housekeeper for our room and waited for us, immediately offered the parking space in front of 110 and moved her car to a different parking area. Unsure if we were supposed to park there, we asked the PM staff “where can we park?” Her response was full of sarcasm and said “it was all in your email!” Then gave us a dirty look. We approached the housekeeper who offered the carport’s parking to double-check and she was very kind to assure us we were safe there and no problem. Other than these two incidents, the place itself was perfect! The location is excellent only a couple steps down the beach area. We will go back again! Thank you.

We loved our stay here. The beach was right outside with a beautiful balcony view. The unit was laid out great for our family of 5. We all had plenty of room. The kitchen had all the things we needed and we enjoyed having it with the kids. The beds were comfy. It was a lovely stay. Next time we will check out the pool. The weather was too good to be inside for our stay. We will definitely stay there again!

Property was decent but the road noise is just insanely loud if you're in a unit with the bedroom up against the road side of the property. Convenient and easy to get to shops, groceries and gas.
Enjoyed our get-a-way to D-Sands. The location is very good for walking and local access. Several food choices within walking distance. All units face the ocean with great views. Our room #117 was very clean and warm - with a fireplace.

Thank you for your feedback on your stay in unit 201, Splash Gordon. It is disheartening to hear that you were not satisfied with the cleanliness of your different stays. We would have loved to address any of these issues, had we been made aware of them through any of the many interactions our staff had with you, both in person and by phone. When you extended your reservation by another night, it led us to believe you were enjoying your stay, with no indication otherwise while in either location. It is unfortunate that you were not able to benefit from maintenance pressure washing the outside of the building and railings, as it had been scheduled the day you moved to the other unit. We appreciate you taking the time to share your notes regarding the carpets and vinyl. Professional carpet cleanings are regularly scheduled for all units, but we will be sure to move this condo up the list to be cleaned sooner, and maintenance will be scheduled to address any hard surface areas that may be lifted, to ensure owners are aware if/when replacement is needed. We will certainly be having maintenance look for any signs of leaks in the ceilings of both units, as the review did not specify where the leak might be located. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to improve and wish you all the best in your future travels.
