The Sonesra Hotel El Olivar is next to a beautiful park and close to fantastic restaurants. It is an easy walk to shops as well. The concierge made arrangements for a car to take us to Museo Larco about 20 minutes away. The reception was very accommodating when we arrived a day early to avoid Hurricane Irma. Our room was spotless and the cleaning staff very thoughtful with a chocolate on the pillow every evening. The bar, restaurant and lobby are comfortable and attractive. We will always try to stay here when in Lima
The group at the restaurant with Angel Benavides, Christian and Lucia were outstanding, going the extra mile for the costumer making the breakfast experience unique. I recommend this hotel without reservations
Really good hotel, OK location, typical hotel food, but the staff did magic to make my excursion to Nazca happen. I checked in at 8:00 PM, and they still arranged transportation and flight at lines at 5:00 am the next morning for nearly half the price I had been quoted.by other company.
The room was great and the early breakfast was nice to have to be in time for the meeting. This was the second time I stayed in this hotel and I will book the next time the samehotel, people are friendly and the staff helping when you have questions.
Guest service is very good, it has a bar and a restaurant. Do not use the hair saloon really expensive and not worth it. Rooms are big, The air conditioning is located over the bed which is not so good while sleeping. Bathrooms are big as well. The hotel is kind of dated.
The Hotel installations are good enough, due to its location is very quite (not really well located), rooms are spacious enough. Nothing remarkable, for a good night sleep is ok but I do not consider a good value hotel, expensive for the experience and poor as a business hotel
Located near by the Parca del Olivar, in San Isidro neighborhood of Lima, Nice business hotel with good meeting rooms, nice breakfast and lunches (never tried Dinner) Rooms are spacious and contemporary, the only complaint I had was that I love very hot showers, and for me the water was just a bit too cold, but still acceptable.
I will strongly recommend Sonesta El Olivar to travelers to Lima! The location is insuperable. The Olive tree Park in outside the Hotel Door. This Park is very well maintained and has security that is very important while walking with my sister and friends ! Breakfast is well balance has fresh made hot items like bacon and eggs and also yogurt , fruit and grains for the vegetarians! Best coffee! Manuel, Sandro at the door, Ronald and Eber the best bartenders, Jorge that makes great sushi, will make your stay a pleasant experience. Angelina and Cynthia at the desk will check you in your flights and print your boarding passes! Sonesta is not a huge hotel and is not a boutique hotel! It has the charm and elegance of European hotels with the efficiency of the most modern ones! Our room was very spacious! Two queen beds, big bathroom and seating area! You will thank me!!
I have been staying at SONESTA El Olivar in Lima since the hotel was opened. It has been remodeled and upgraded a few times. It is the best location in San Isidro. The food at their restaurant is excellent; the breakfast in delicious and abundant, the rooms are very comfortable, especially those with a view to the olive forest. The new sushi bar, in the main lobby is the perfect place to enjoy a pisco sour and a wide selection of sushi. No better place to say in San Isidro, Lima. The Park El Olivar is also a great place to jog or walk in the early morning or evening. Very safe.
We were taken to this hotel as part of our tour and this was our first stop in Lima. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood and I didn't feel like I was getting the true "vibe" of Lima in this location. When we walked around the area, we didn't see many stores or businesses. We had to take a taxi and battle Lima traffic to get anywhere to see any of the "sights". The lobby is a little small and the rooms were adequate and large. I found the hotel to be quiet and peaceful, especially because it had a lovely park with beautiful old olive trees right across from it. The staff is super-helpful and friendly and the breakfast had a lot of offerings. This hotel is fine, but my personal preference would have been to be closer to the Lima District or Miraflores.
