Sheraton Lima Hotel & Convention Center

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Lima Sheraton while visiting Peru. Rooms were large and clean. Located 25-35 minutes from airport depending on traffic. Taxi ride costs $20 or 60 soles to get to and from the airport. Hotel offered taxi is way too expensive. We used taxidatum to get back to the airport, but need to book a day or two in advance. Free shuttle provided to Miraflores which is the tourist area of Lima. Hotel is within walking distance of of Plaza Mayor de Lima (Main Square near Palace and Cathedrals). Would recommend if looking for cheaper option than staying in Miraflores.

Will never stay here again - found a worm crawling up my thigh at 4AM. Completely grossed out we packed our things and used a cup to collect the animal. I approached the front desk with the worm and they were unresponsive. Checked out immediately and left for the airport, several hours before our scheduled check out. Ruined our night in Lima. Do not stay here!

We booked the Sheraton Lima Hotel for 9 days during our stay in Peru. It is a great hotel in downtown Lima close distance to all the major Zones. I chose this Hotel from other great choices because I spent a lot of time reviewing other locations and kept coming back to this one. The staff was great. The room was comfortable. The food was great and the taxi service from the hotel was excellent! No complaints! The city outside is busy but if you step outside and walk around the corner you will find a lot of things to do locally. We even kept the room while away in Machu Picchu. Call us crazy but we had a home to return to with no hassle after 3 days away. Priced decent, try to book ahead of your travel date for best rate.

Despite your localization, there is a very good shuttle service(solve all the problem) And the drivers are very friendly. Staff is very atten and the hotel is clean, it´s a sheraton. I recommend order a room with the view for Palacio de Justicia. The breakfast attend, it´s not the breakfest but I believe citizens for all over the world will be happy here.

Not worth it.  One of the worst hotel experiences I have had in the room and I have stayed in many hotels.  Walls must be super paper thin as I could clearly hear the neighbors phone, conversations, and even the sheets rustling.  Further I am in a non smoking room but was woken up by the smell of someone smoking. Do they enforce non smoking policies or do they just stick a non smoking room next to a smoking room.  I have been in various hotels in Peru all week and this is the only one I couldn't sleep in.

A good hotel at 20 minutes walk from Plaza de Armas and Basilica de San Francisco. A full breakfast buffet, a nice room with a comfortable, kingsize bed (room 1363). Friendly, English speaking staff and free water in the room (4 bottles...). Everything you would expect from a four star hotel, a standard good quality. It surprised me that in a hotel like this we had to pay for wifi in the room. That is really below standard and the lunchbox we received the day we left was also of low quality considering the good breakfast buffet...

We had to stay here two nights because of our flight leaving Lima were cancelled two times. The staff made our stay much more comfortable and were very patient, considering a plane full of people being dumped at 4 AM at their door. The next day, they provided us with all of the information the airline provided them. The food has been really good and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

Pros: room comfort, free welcome drinks, staff give free upgrade to in-room wifi and breakfast. Breakfast buffet is sumptuous. central and lively location. Cons: there is no in-room coffee/tea/hot water maker. But this seems to be standard for all Peru hotels. Maybe due to fire hazard? hotel is very nice. Staff very helpful and welcoming. The regular room price doesn't include in-room wi-fi and breakfast. But when asked, the check in staff just give them to us for free. It appears to be a choiced venue for important meetings. When we were there, the President came to visit one night to attend a reception. Since all the rooms open to an interior atrium, of which the bottom floor is used for the reception, it did get noisy at night. So earplugs are needed for occasions like this. The location is very good. Adjacent is a lively modern shopping mall, with supermarket and food court. Walking distance to Plaza San Martin and the main business street of Jiron de la Union, with many restaurants and shops. Feels safe day and night. The businesses however, are more catering to spanish-speaking customers.

This is typical Sheraton. Good location, close to the center. Very nice and very clean. Staff is very helpful. Large rooms and bathrooms. Good WI-FI speed. Great breakfast with a large selection. It was a nice stay.

I'm just finishing a two week stay at this hotel. It is very much a typical Sheraton hotel. I had a very good stay and would definitely return. We had a room with 2 twin beds on the 13th floor. The beds are comfortable as are the pillows. The room also has a desk, a desk chair and a bench perfect for a suitcase. There is a large closet with a high bar on one side and a built in dresser on the other. Another great place for a suitcase. The sink is outside the bathroom and is separated from the bedroom by a clear divider (which doesn't block light if one roommate is up earlier than the other). The shower has good pressure. There is a western style toilet and a bidet. There is a large breakfast buffet. Unfortunately the items offered never change so it gets boring in a long stay. The food items I tried were all good, lots of fresh fruit, an Asian section, and a continental section. The only issues are that the coffee is circulated with a waiter and it is hard to flag him down. Also getting a napkin is difficult. The staff is very friendly. The front desk staff and many others speak English. They do get some large groups in so occasionally it is very busy at the front desk. The only real issue I had was that I had to exchange keys 8 times because it would quit working. Others in our group had the same issue. It is in an urban setting. Concerts at night are common but always ended around 10 pm. There is lots of traffic noise (even on the 13th floor) that quiets down around midnight. There is a very nice mall adjacent to the hotel. Mostly restaurants including many American brands. You can get fast food or a nice meal, American or local so lots of choices. Also a Hiper store which is kind of a small Walmart with groceries and many other things.you can get a slightly better money exchange in booths at the mall than the one in the hotel (like 2 solas per $20 better)
