Below comments are based on my 100% personal experience. I stayed Crowne Plaza Lima for two nights on my last business trip. As I usually stay in San Isidro, this time was an "adventure" when selecting the hotel. This hotel, first of all is a bit oldie, you can easily notice with the room doors and elevator. However you dont feel uncomfortable because it is well maintained. Staffs are very nice, average breakfast, good wifi conection. Bed matress is quite soft, which might be comfy for those who like soft beds.
Hotel is totally fine. Rooms are spacious and comfortable although I think the windows could take some improvement as you could hear some street noise in the night. The check in experience was painful. They have tried to make it pleasant and relaxed by setting it as two business desks (you sit down to check in) and they even offer you a glass of champagne (or whatever is called there). I arrived there at midnight (2am for me really) and the woman ahead of me felt so relaxed that she was all relaxed, chatting about the weather, the markets nearby and drinking her glass while I was behind her waiting for my turn (not that patiently). Anyway, relaxed check in but too relaxed if there is a line up. The service is very attentive and they are in the lookout for whatever you may need. The business center is also good and easy access in the lobby. The hotel offer taxi service but I found it very expensive. If Uber has a price of 1, a taxi is 1.5 and the hotel is 3 (albeit better cars and more attentive)). Regular taxi service in Lima is quite disorganized and I found Uber the best. And traffic in Lima is quite crazy. If you are not aggressive you get nowhere
This is a very comfortable hotel In Miraflores. We felt safe and secure. We could easily walk to most Miraflores attractions. Even though we booked using points, we were treated very well and had great rooms.Prices for food and drink in the hotel are a bit high but not atypical of a US chain.
I stayed at the hotel for three nights on business. The staff spoke English, which may my stay easier. The room had a nice king size bed, and it was modernly furnished. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of items for any taste. I worked late each night, which resulted in me ordering room service each evening. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food each evening. The hotel is in a nice location where I could have explored more if I had the time.
We were with my wife. Very good hotel with very good location. In the hearth of Miraflores place. Near to the sea. Only four bloks of sea and the best mall. Near of everything The bedrooms are big and very comfortable with king size bed. The bathroom was very good remodeled. The breakfast is amazing.
We stayed for 4 nights so got a pretty good impression of the hotel. The rooms were better than average but a bit small for a family of 4 with older sons. The breakfast on 3 of the mornings was Impressive. The front staff were very helpful (especially Gino). They do laundry but at highway robbery prices. Cost us almost $200 to get what was maybe 1/2 a load of laundry if done at home. We were desperate so had no choice. Our trouble hit on the last night. Our pickup from the hotel was to be at 3:30am so we pre-ordered breakfast the evening before to arrive for 3am. We even wrote it all down and handed it to the concierge who went over it with us. By 3:15 we are calling front desk as now we are down to 15 minutes to eat IF it showed up. The front desk sounded like they had no clue but trying to cover. The food showed up at 3:25 causing us to cram food in at a horrid rate and rush downstairs to catch our shuttle to the airport. I'm giving 4 stars because the bulk of the stay was good, one person dropping the ball is frustrating but doesn't mean it's a regular thing. Will give the benefit of the doubt but recommend if you need an early breakfast, try to call down as soon as you wake up to confirm it.
This is a nice, small CP in a quiet, suburban Miraflores location. The suites are very large and comfortable--like small apartments. The staff are excellent, too, BUT I experienced two serious problems during my stay. First, the internet was TERRIBLE. It's been a long time since I've been in a hotel with such bad internet. It was so bad that it was simply impossible to use at times. When I reported this upon check-out, however, the receptionist said that they were having trouble with it, so maybe this is not a permanent problem. For my stay, however, I had to resort to my international data plan since their internet was not serviceable. Second, I experienced problems with their transportation services. Most seriously, my advance booking of an airport transfer upon arrival was not processed for some reason, leaving me stranded at the airport. A call to the hotel got it sorted out quickly enough, as I was simply directed to the taxi counter with which they have an arrangement. A first-time visitor that might be unable to call them, however, could find himself in quite a predicament stranded at the airport when expecting a pick-up. The taxi service was good but expensive, and I was offered no apology, explanation, or compensation for the missed booking. The hotel needs to tell first-time guests what to expect and do upon arrival, which they did not do in my case. Using the around-town transportation services provided by the hotel also left me with an unpleasant feeling since the costs and terms of the services were so opaque. Hiring a hotel car involved a rather convoluted discussion about the cost, leaving a bad taste. I don't know why they don't just publish their transportation services and their cost so as to avoid giving the impression of a rip-off. That said, everyone was very helpful, and the transportation services, while expensive, were very good, with good cars and good, experienced drivers. They really need to develop a more transparent system for their transportation services, however. Unless you know of a better alternative, be prepared to pay a lot to get around. Also, be aware that charging transportation services to your room will result in significant additional taxes of around 30% or so.
We enjoyed our stay here. This followed a cruise from Buenos Aries to Lima and we decided to spend our last night in this part of Lima rather than the airport area. The hotel provided a nice breakfast and concierge services were excellent. Whilst you are faced with a one hour drive from the airport, this part of town is, in my opinion, well worth it.
We enjoyed our stay. The concierge, Gino, was very helpful. The room was better than expected; I received a much appreciated upgrade because of my status. The breakfast was great -- a cooked omelette to order and attentive wait staff. I had the hotel help me with tour and car service and was very happy with the results. We walked to the love park, Kennedy park, great dining (Al Fresco and Lorca Mall -- Popular) and the Inca market. There are drug and convenience stores close by. I liked the neighborhood and would stay here again.
Though the building is a little old (you can tell it was a 5-star hotel some yearse ago), the hotel was properly renovated, providing a very comfortable stay in an excellent location in Miraflores, at walking distance from the local central park, handicraft market, restaurants and shopping mall. It is located one block away from Maido (among the world's 10 best restaurants) and a short taxi drive from Central (another 10 best), and to other districts as Barranco and San Isidro.
