Very much enjoyed our stay with Casa Andina. Location was good. Everything was clean and we had a quiet, comfortable stay. Breakfast was basic, but good. Best of all, the staff were very helpful and friendly.
This hotel was booked for me as part of a tour. It's location, a couple of blocks from the square in Miraflores, is fine -- many good restaurants 10 minutes away. Front desk staff was great, also had good recommendations for where to eat. Bathroom shower smelled. Bed comfortable. Some difficulty sleeping because of street noise, but it was the night of the Colombia-Peru football game so all is forgiven.
The hotel was clean and had friendly and courteous staff. A downside was outside traffic noise could be heard as it is a popular location. Also other guests could be heard through the bathroom ventilation shaft connected to the rooms.
This hotel is near from Miraflores Central Park and John F. Kennedy Park, it is close to the Larcomar Mall as well (about 20 minutes by foot). It is close to a variety of very nice handcrafts centers too. The room and facilities are very nice and they have excellent professionals.
We stayed 2 nights in late September 2017 and found this hotel met all our expectations, the room was big enough and had a useful power point inside the safe. The staff were very helpful to us when trying to find a replacement for a jacket we had lost and also lent us an adaptor plug. Ceiling fan, news in English, free Wi-Fi, good breakfast, good shower...... Good location close to the centre of Miraflores, Kennedy Park and a range of restaurants.
This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. My husband and I had a late flight from Juliaca to Lima, arriving at Casa Andina about 1:00am. After spending 2 days on Lake Titicaca, all we wanted was a shower. We checked in and the staff didn't bother to inform us there was NO RUNNING WATER IN THE BUILDING. We got to our room, quickly realizing the water wasn't working. There was no way to call the front desk from our room, so we had to go back down and ask. Upon asking, they informed us it wasn't working and would be back on in the morning. We were angry, but went to bed dirty waiting for morning to shower. We woke at 7am and still no water. Then they said it would be on in the afternoon, but check out was at noon. We complained multiple times and they finally sent us over to the Casa Andina Premium to use the public showers. I asked about a refund and they danced around the question saying the public showers were a solution. About the 5th time returning to the front desk and asking about a refund they reluctantly offered us a free lunch at the Premium Hotel. We had plans for the day in Lima so negotiated a dinner. We didn't view it as a fair trade considering the hotel provided about half of what they should provide but we were tired of arguing. The food was decent at the dinner, but the restaurant in the 5 star hotel was very mediocre. The ceilings were disgusting and it did not feel like an extension of the lobby which actually felt like a 5 star hotel. I've never had such a poor experience with a hotel, or such horrible customer service. I understand issues can happen, but it was like they were hoping we wouldn't notice we couldn't even use our toilet or brush our teeth. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, or stay in any Casa Andina ever again.
Really nice homely hotel with very kind friendly staff on reception - nothing was too much trouble for them - again good advice on restaurants and cafes to use and also where to get the best deal regarding money exchange rates. Friendly doorman and Porter too.
We stayed here for 3 nights in early October. The hotel is located in the nice Miraflores district, and close to a number of places to visit. The hotel had some very good features, but some real issues as well, hence the rating. Our room was reasonably spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the tv good quality. There were no tea/ coffee making facilities, but when I enquired, one of the front desk staff brought us some tea to the room. The bathroom was small, but the shower excellent...plenty of hot water through a large shower head. Breakfast was included, and provided many choices. The staff were the greatest asset for the hotel. They were very helpful, friendly and assisted us making contact with our tour company. So, why the average rating? The noise, especially at night. The traffic noise diminished later at night, but we were aware of other guests activities in neighbouring rooms - using the toilet, shower, packing bags and leaving early in the morning, talking in the corridors. Also, in the early hours of the morning, about 2 or 3 am, we were woken up by a very loud noise coming from the lower levels. It sounded mechanical, and was very intrusive, lasting for a long time, and it happened on more than one evening.
I only had the opportunity to stay overnight here. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was awesome! There is a bit of street noise but I would expect it being in the tourist district.
I found the hotel a good central base for my trip. The room was fine, very clean. The breakfast a very good choice and efficiently maintained. It was a good experience and I would recommend to anyone.
