Welcome to the Classroom Lodge, a delightful one-bedroom former primary school classroom that has been thoughtfully converted into a couples retreat. Recently renovated for 2024, the lodge boasts a well-presented kitchen/living area, king size bedroom and modern bathroom.The main living area features comfortable sofa seating, smart TV, and complimentary Wi-Fi for your stay, along with outdoor terrace, perfect for quieter summer evenings with a view across the nearby fields.The fully fitted kitchen is ideal for self-catered stays, equipped with dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, oven, and breakfast bar. There are plenty of scenic walks to discover right from the doorstep. We host two classroom lodges on site, each accommodating up to two guests, and can be booked together for groups of four. The outside basketball court and grassed areas are shared with the other lodge on site, and the owners who live in the adjacent Old School House.Nestled in a rural position offering stunning views of the rolling Devonshire countryside, the property enjoys a convenient location just 10 minutes from the A30 and near the village of Ashwater, boasting local shops and a pub. Roadford Lake is a mere 5-minute drive away, offering scenic walks, water activities, and a cafe. Bude, with its beautiful beaches, restaurants, and walks, is a short 18-mile drive. We had a fab week staying here. Everything was perfect. A rural location so apart from the odd car it’s just peace and quiet. Our favourite thing was looking up at night seeing the stars. We miss this living in a city. The accommodation is very clean with everything you would ever need for a self catering stay. Nothing could be improved.

This was an excellent place to stay, all basic things were thought of to make the first day easy, even milk in the fridge ,before you go look for a shop All essential were provided. I met the husband and mother they were so lovely expecially mother. Very peaceful and quiet, outside space and view is amazing Will definitely come again everything was absolutely 💯 Didn't like that I had to leave at 10am because I just didn't want to leave. Wish I had seen mother to tell her goodbye til my next visit.

Lovely accommodation, area rather remote.

Lovely modern, light and very comfortable accommodation throughout with pretty much everything you need although there was no washing machine. My personal preference would be a washing machine rather than a dish washer, but this is a very minor issue. I understand from the host that a washing machine is planned to be installed. Nice surroundings with a lovely veranda to sit out on and outside space to enjoy too. It was a little remote from local amenities for us but certainly ideal for a complete get away and chance to recharge your batteries in the peace and quiet of the Devonshire countryside.
