The hotel was correct. The bed was very comfortable, but the staff was very unkindly. We went to a wedding and we could not iron our dresses because there was Only one iron for all the hotel although the information said that there was a iron in every room.
I can recommend this hotel when you are looking for a place to stay in this region. Price/quality ate this hotel is very good. The staff is very friendly and can help you in several languages. My room was comfortable and quite large. Television, safe, minibar were present and a decent Wifi connection. The bathroom was also very nice and everything you might need is present (soap, shampoo, hair dryer, ...) Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices.
every thing was perfect verygood team, very good room, breakfast fabulous, beautiful and clean room with confortable bed, and good equipments in the room and bathroom ( sorry for my poor english but I am french!)
This hotel was ideal for an overnight stopover on a long journey from Germany to UK. we recieved a warm welcome and given lots of information. The hotel is modern. The rooms spacious enough and beds/pillows comfortable. For breakfast there was a good variety of cold and hot food on offer and fried eggs made to order were a treat. There is a restaurant/bar next to the hotel where you can get an evening meal, with local traditional dishes available. The surrounding area appears to offer limited interest, but we were there only one night.
We needed a place to stay on our way to the South of France (from The Netherlands). This hotel fit our requirements: good price, reception available until 2 AM, good breakfast and a short drive from the high way (but not next to it or anything). We were very happy with the room (clean!) and the breakfast was really good. So for us, this was a success. We didn't do any activities in the area or spent any other time at the hotel, but if you are looking for a stop over, this hotel is perfect.
We used Hotel L'Armandier for a one-night stop-over when driving back to the UK from Austria. It is very conveniently located close to the motorway. There's a supermarket over the road and a Bar/Restaurant (Cafe Louise) adjacent to the hotel. We intended to eat at Cafe Louise, but unfortunately it was fully booked for the evening of our stay however the hotel staff were very helpful and provided a list of restaurants in the nearby towns. We opted for a 10min drive to St Hubert, which turned out to be a pretty little town and nice to see somewhere other than the 4 walls of the hotel. We received a great welcome on arrival at the hotel and English was well spoken. The rooms were very clean and of a good size. Bathroom and decor all modern and in good order. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but this wasn't a problem as the weather wasn't very hot. The beds were very comfortable. There is ample parking front and rear, and a nice view from rooms on the rear. The breakfast was much better than the average hotel buffet. A great selection on offer and eggs were cooked fresh to order.
This is a really good, smart, modern hotel, with clean and comfortable rooms just a few minutes from the E411 motorway that drops down from Brussels going towards Luxembourg. As others have said, it has ample, off-street car parking and there are shops, including a Carrefour supermarket, all within walking distance. Reception was very welcoming and helpful and spoke good English. It may annoy some that the restaurant is not always open every evening but there is a very satisfactory Bar/Restaurant within 30 paces of the hotel's front door. The hotel has a small lift and there is a ramp at the entrance that would allow wheelchair access to reception. However, access to bedrooms is through a fairly tight doorway that might prove a little tricky if not impossible. My room was very clean, modern and smartly furnished. The bathroom had a full-size bath with an overhead shower that worked just fine. Lighting was good and there was tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was served early from 07.30 which suited me and was also very good. I particularly liked the machine which you can use to squeeze and juice fresh oranges. There is also a nice view from the restaurant and breakfast room across to open countryside and woodland. The hotel for me came very close to scoring top marks. However, there are a couple of downsides which are not really down to the hotel but can make a difference. First, while the bar/restaurant is conveniently located immediately in front of the hotel entrance and alongside its car park, on warm summer evenings be prepared for quite a lot of noise from its outdoor eating area. Second, if you need to close your bedroom window because of noise there is no air conditioning and it can become stuffy very quickly. Finally, I was irritated to find the next morning that someone (no doubt from the restaurant and bar) late the previous evening had no doubt been leaning against my car and had used the soft-top roof as well as part of the boot as an ash tray. No damage but annoying all the same.
Arrived here with a small group on a motorcycle tour for a few nights. The room was good with one of the most comfortable beds that I've ever slept on. A buffet breakfast started the day well, we ended up in the restaurant next for every night for good food, great portion sizes all for a reasonable price. Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
Miles from town , no air air con in rooms , expensive bar , booked the hotel because it had a resteraunt , told them weeks in advance that we would like to eat in their resteraunt , but after we had checked in and paiyed up front, we were told in no uncertain terms that resteraunt was closed ,and given a list to get back in the car and go and search for resteraunt s miles away
This is the second visit I've made to the hotel, its a brilliant stop over if you're heading towards Luxembourg and beyond from the channel ports. I'd agree with previous reviewers, very good rooms, excellent breakfast, good location and very helpful staff. English is at least understood if not spoken. Its just got better with the opening of a Carrefour Extra (the up market version of the empire) on the other side of the road. And yes, I'd certainly use the hotel again.
