Great location which is always important. Staff spoke minimal English but was able to be helpful at all times. Bed was comfortable. View from the 12th floor was of the street out in front. There was rooms that face south with the Bell Tower. Location was very convenient. Lots of shops, restaurants, Starbucks (!), and ethnic market were close by. Good laundry service and great breakfast.Layout of the bathroom was a puzzle but that was of minimal concern. Would return in a minute.
The hotel is less than five minutes walk from the Muslim Quarters and Bell Tower making it a great place to stay and explore Xi'an, especially the night market and the lights around the Bell Tower and city wall. It is not a budget hotel. it has all the facilities you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. The buffet breakfast has a good selection of Chinese, local and some Western food.
Value for money. close to city attraction Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Muslim street. Very helpful staff with decent English. There was some confusion over the type of room booked but staff solved it later.
Real non smoking room, very clean well decorated rooms. Hi speed wifi. Staff speaking a decent english. Excellent value for money if you add the perfect location (10min walk from old city). Do not hesitate to book here is you intend to visit xi'an as a tourist.
Based on previous reviews, I was very sceptical about the hotel and its service but decided to book any way. I was, however, very pleasantly surprised. Advantages 1. Location - it is very central. It's literally 5 minutes walk to the Muslim quarter and 5 - 7 minute to the bell tower and drum tower. Another 7 minutes and you'll be at the South Gate - main entrance to the city wall. 2. Breakfast - had a good variety of western and chinese foods 3. Room decor - very modern with all amenities - shampoo, lotion, comb, shower cap, shower gel, hairdryer, toothbrush and toothpaste, free bottled water, coffee and tea. 4. Check in service - very quick and reception staff were patient and polite. 5. Wi-fi - worked very well from the time you stepped into the hotel and was at an average speed. Disadvantages 1. Room - very dark - we stayed on the 16th floor and needed to switch on all the lights during the day 2. Room - cleanliness - whilst the room received its daily make up service, the carpets weren't properly vacuumed - possibly because the room is so dark and difficult to see?! Not sure... Overall, very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this hotel based on location, price and value for money.
We arrived at 10pm after a long flight and were greeted by very friendly and helpful reception staff. Before we knew it our luggage was on a trolley and on it's way to our room, the staff member then hung around waiting for a tip. I wish they would not do this as it becomes intimidating. The room was a good size, the bedding typical of China with a firm bed, but we slept well. The linen was clean and the room in general was very good. Unfortunately it doesn't matter where you go in China they do not switch the air conditioning on until 1st May regardless of how hot it is, this made things very uncomfortable but we managed. The breakfast was fine, there was an egg station so that is all we needed, along with the bacon and cooked tomatoes etc. Of course there was a lot more Asian food but then the majority of clients are Asian. Very handy location, the Muslim quarter was 2 mins walk which was great to try the local food. I would stay at the Ramada Bell Tower again, most of the hotels in China are old and tired however as long as they are clean and in a good location I do not see a problem.
My wife and I stayed here for two nights. Our room was fine but the air conditioning was very poor and ineffective. The two glass cubicles for shower and toilet were interesting! WiFi was not very good and kept dropping out. Breakfast was a large buffet but left you feeling that it was just about adequate. The hotel's greatest selling point is it's central location and proximity to the Muslim quarter. Overall, a satisfactory stay but nothing special
Nice hotel but no air conditioning. Clean rooms with tv, desk and sitting area. Tea, coffee, and small refrigerator. Large, hard bed, typical in China. Walk in shower with sitting area and laundry hanging area. Basic shampoo , etc, but some rooms have a huge tub, large containers of soap and shampoo. Can't really see out the window, blocked by cement. Close to Bell tower and Muslim markets .
First impression reception, Service was ok average. The first room we were given on the 15th floor was very tired and safe did not work. bed uncomfortable and air con needed attention and cleaning. The bathroom configuration was weird as the towels were stored behind the bath shower which leaked water everywhere on the floor. This was upsetting to us and were given a better room on the 10th floor with a view and better shower bathroom but the bed was still uncomfortable. The breakfast area was clean but the food was served cold. There was not a lot of western food to choose from. Dinner menu was okay too but found better food options down the street. The Best thing I can suggest about this Hotel was the Location. Close to the Moslem Markets and Bell Tower. All in all it was just satisfactory.
We were traveling with kids and the family room made the stay pleasant. The staff is very helpful and a few conversant in English. We arranged our private tour to the terra cotta warrior museum from the hotel which worked out great. If you are more than 3 it's almost the same as the cost of the bus ride. If you plan on getting a guide, insist that they stick with the route you pick in advance ... the guide that we had although good was more keen on taking us to places that had incentives for her
