There were bugs in my bed, at 11:30 pm I had to deal with that and changing rooms after I had already unpacked and gotten ready for bed. Thank goodness I pulled the sheets back before I got in the bed! Only room available was a room with king bed that I had to share with my daughter. No compensation for the issue, very disappointing!!!

Hotel is conveniently located close to I85. Very quiet, clean, and spacious. The breakfast was amazing with options for cold and hot.

The location is really nice as well as the views(IF you get a room on the right side of the hotel). After being asked my preference, I specifically asked for a room with a view of The Vineyards and not the parking lot and shops, but when we got upstairs(later that evening bc I couldnt go up immediately when checking in),we were facing the parking lot and the shops. I do feel that it is a bit overpriced due to the name and location, however, it worked out and served the purpose for what I had to do. Nice heated swimming pool that my daughter and friends really enjoyed! Pretty good selection for the complimentary breakfast. Staff was very friendly. Overall, I will stay again if needed but for a lower cost.

Met my expectations. Lovely view of the vineyards. Decent room and comfortable stay.

Nice getaway facing the vineyards, comfortable and pleasant, helpful staff.

Paid for a "suite" that was not really a suite. Room floor was not really clean. Breakfast was not very good and was more like what you would get at Super 8. Maids knocked on the door repeatedly, starting at 8:30 AM on a Saturday. On two occasions, I tried to call the front desk for information and there was no answer, so I gave up after about 25 rings (good thing the room was not on fire). The pool closes at 10 PM so no late night swimming and did not open until 10 AM (of course with checkout at 11 you have about 15 minutes to swim. Overall, this hotel was very disappointing and totally overpriced. Would never stay there again, ever.

This upscale Holiday Inn is adjacent to the beautiful Childress Vineyards. You can look out your window and see endless rows of grapes which enhances the beauty of this location. My room was clean, comfortable, with a flat-screen TV and delightful free toiletries. In the morning, you're treated to a free hot breakfast--scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, ham/bacon/sausage, etc. The lobby is cozy and well furnished with a cheerful fire crackling in the hearth. The only staff I met was the charming Gabriella at the front desk who quickly processed me. My only complaint is that the internet service is rather tricky and it took me several long minutes to connect. Also, there is no sign whatsoever that the Holiday Inn even exists here. It's situated on a hill, away from traffic. Unless you have a GPS or know this area, you may have some difficulty in finding this gem--but once you do, you will be in for a treat.

When making reservations, make sure a wedding party is not booked at the time of your stay!! After phoning the night clerk at 1:00 am about the loud party on the balcony, I was informed it was a wedding party and she would try to talk with them. After phoning again at 2:00 am, I was informed this hotel was a wedding party hotel, due to the winery next door. After extreme pressing of the issue, she finally found us a previously unavailable room to move to. When we picked up our key at 2:10 am, we were informed that this was part of the hotel business, and had we not booked online, we could of questioned more about parties booked. There was not a manager on duty when we left, however the new front desk person was famaliar with the situation, and said had we not booked online, she would of refunded 1 night out of the 4 we stayed, however she would have to check with management. So far 2 days later, still have not been contacted

Good job by staff. Overall good experience. Convenient.

Very good the viands were beautiful love the food and wine would love to order some for home the briefest was good to thank you .

The hotel is right next to Childress Vineyards. I recognized the name from racing. The Vineyard is beautiful, the vines were lush and there were a lot of them! The building itself was impressive as well. The Holiday Inn Express is brand new and there is a large building that will house shops although there were none in there yet. The room large, had a sitting room, a sink, small refrigerator and microwave. Their free breakfast consisted of bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, fruit, pastries, yogurt, cereal. It was great! We would stay there again but would ask for a room on the top floor because we could hear people walking around in the room above us.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! Very nice. If I'm ever in this area again I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!

We walked into the lobby and knew we'd be very happy with this hotel. The receptionist was very friendly-the hotel was beautiful and we had a wonderful view of the vineyards from our room which was was very clean and comfortable.

Very Nice
