Our sweet Moon Lake anniversary trip
We came to this cabin for 8 days to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was beautiful and cozy with a beautiful view of Moon Lake. The bird show all week was quite impressive! There were a lot of woodpeckers, including pileated and red headed. Also, orioles, rose breasted grosbeaks, chickadees, tanagers, and of course the beautiful loons who answered our calls. The weather was very uncooperative and the gnats made it hard to stay outside for long, but we made the best of it. Played cards and board games, and got very competitive with Shut the Box! Lewiston and the surrounding area is beautiful lake country. We enjoyed some very nice restaurants, especially Lewiston Lodge which is located right on beautiful East Twin Lake! We took a road trip to Alpena and drove up the scenic road all the way to Black Lake. That was a very memorable vacation spot for me growing up! Again the cabin was everything we hoped for with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable!! Would love to experience it all in the summer weather!
