This attractive villa is in the village of Les Cluses-Basse, 25 minutes drive from Perpignan or 50 minutes drive from Gerona airport in Spain. Six miles from the town of Ceret, 2 miles from the Catalan village of Maureillas, it is within easy reach of Mediterranean beaches and duty-free border town of Le Perthus. Ideal for exploration of mountain lakes and gorges, ski areas, nearby castles and Catalan culture. The villa is fully furnished in pine with 2 bathrooms and separate toilets. fully fitted kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer. A large lounge with satelite TV, ipod docking station & internet facilities. Separate dining room. The private swimming pool has a dining terrace with BBQ. The pool is not heated and is open from Mid May to Mid October. Bedroom 1 first floor with mountain views & balcony overlooking the pool, four poster bed with ensuite facilities. Bedroom 2 & 3 Ground floor one double room with kingsize bed,other room with 3 single beds both with doors opening to pool terrace. Bed linen and towels included.

A large lounge with satellite TV/video/DVD facilities. The villa also has a separate dining room. The swimming pool has a dining terrace with barbecue. Bedroom two is a ground floor double room with king size bed and double doors opening to pool terrace. Bedroom three is also on the ground floor with 3 single beds, double doors also opening to pool terrace. Poor Maintenance . Tired .

Spent ten weeks there this year after a pleasant stay a couple of years ago, even though we were out of gas for two weeks, but maintenance has been poor .Looking tired..Doors falling off cabinets needs a coat of paint inside pool area glass chipped and falling out of place Hob still broken after 2 years . I will be returning to the area again next year but not to this villa .

Location bien située et bien équipée. Dommage car manque d'entretien (ménage, poussiÚres, sols, coins, literie à changer car matelas hors d'usage et aucune alÚse de protection, rideaux décroché dans 1 chambre, balcon du non nettoyé, piscine inutilisable les derniers jours. Propriétaire joignable et réactif (nous avons eu de nouveaux transats car HS à notre arrivée et le concierge a débouché 2 évacuations extérieures).

Villa trÚs spacieuse, bien agencée et trÚs confortable pour accueillir une famille, toutes générations confondues. Elle est aussi trÚs bien située, pour accéder à la fois à la mer et à la montagne. Lovely property in an amazing location!

The pictures really do not do this property justice! The villa is in a stunning location, in a very quiet area that is easy to get to from Gerona or Perpignan. The nearest is Bakery is around 5-10 minutes by car, and the nearest supermarkets are only a further 5 minutes away. The beach at Argeles is around 25 minutes away. It is a great base for exploring the south of France. The property is very large and well appointed. The pool is simply amazing! The owners were very friendly and helpful throughout. We would not hesitate in recommending this property and would definitely return. Many thanks!

My Springtime in the south of France.

Just returned from 3 months at Villa Cheval.Loved it! Great Location,quiet area but short drive to to so many differeing types of area,mountains,sea ,lakes,towns,the coastline is breathtaking. A comfy homely feel to the villa.Spacious ,well laid out.Can't hear the sky tv from the bedrooms.2 bedrooms on ground floor well away from lounge with extra door between.Another upstairs with seperate toilet and shower room. Local couple cleaner/maintenance etc.english super helpful.a phonecall away. Good local restaurants,from 2 minute drive.Several supermarkets 10 mins. This has been our 3rd springtime visit of 3 months to the region and this has been by far the best of accomodation,previously we stayed in old farmhouse properties which can be in Feb/ March . Central heating on a chillier evening, so comforting,but when the temp reached 100f(a bit of a fluke for april) the villa was cool inside. I would recomend this villa to my family and friends without hesitation,in fact some came out to visit us and they loved it too..

lovely villa in excellent area

Just spent two glorious weeks at Villa le Cheval. Good open plan layout for being sociable. Good shade around the pool. Well equiped, very well presented and in good location near the mountains. Only 4km from Spanish border. Plenty to do and lots of lovely towns and villages to visit. Within easy drive (around 20mins) to beaches at Argeles sur Mer/ Le Racou/ Colliuire Pool was brilliant. Would thoroughly recommend. Ceret market on a Saturday is a must. Pop into Spain to Roses on the Coast Brava for real Spanish feel. Good restaurants there. Perpignan another must, only 20 mins. Will definatley go there again.
