Hotel Tranquilo is a great hotel for people that want a quiet, safe, relaxing spot but be within walking distance of the other attractions, bars, and restaurants. We stayed there for 5 nights. The food was good...staff excellent, friendly and helpful...The atmosphere is relaxed even with multiple rooms are full there is enough space either on the two story palapa or in the well maintained pool to just chill. The after hours drink policy is fair and pretty awesome. (I definitely used it). Would recommend a stay here for sure.

Breakfast was good, although espresso machine wasn't working, there is no TV in the rooms, the curtains are almost see thru and the lights from out on the corridor come thru the rooms so it is not completely dark. Also, the pool was dirty, no one seemed to clean it in the 2 days I was there.

This is a calming oasis hidden on a coastal beach town. The area has a private, cozy bed and breakfast feel and the staff was out-of-this-world friendly. It’s got a beautiful pool and sits on the Pacific Ocean.

I was recommended to go to Las Penitas a small surfing village by the locals and it was amazing, I stayed at Hotel Tranquilo and it was all first class, the service, pool, food, music play list and drinks, if you are lucky you will meet the owners Jack and Carmen, they go above and beyond. I highly recommend it.

Any place on the beach is going to have a great feeling. The air, sound of the waves, and relaxing atmosphere are soothing. This place puts you there. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was good but not great. The room was comfortable, clean, quaint, and functional with the amenities you’d expect at a hotel.
