Secluded & Romantic, Blowing Rock, Views, Hot tub - The Red Rover

SECLUDED : The Red Rover Cabin borders the Pisgah National Forest.
You are in the woods on your own secluded 8 Acres at the end of a mountain gravel road. We are off the beaten path.

ROMANTIC : Disappear from the world with your special someone or family. Many of our guests arrive and don't leave until departure! A complimentary bottle of Wine and chocolate samples are provided to each stay.

VIEWS : Simply the best forest and big mountain views found anywhere around Blowing Rock. Sunrise and Sunset are stunning!

PLAY : Play in our yard, have a fire in the fire pit, enjoy the hot tub hut, sit in the bay window in the Master Bedroom, hike our road into the forest, or just sit on the deck and relax.

DECOR : Post-Modern Rustic. Leather Sofa, quilts with duvets, local art accents, shades and blinds, stylish bedding and more all adorn our cabin.

Distances:
- Blowing Rock down town @2.5 Miles
- Tweetsie Railroad @ 5 Miles
- Blue Ridge Parkway @ 3.5 Miles
- Grandfather Mountain @ 15 Miles
- Boone @ 9 Miles CONFIRMING YOUR RESERVATION : When you book with us we will ask you for an exact person count of guests, number and type of cars coming, agreement with your house rules found in the “House Rules” section of the listing, and an appropriate sign off on pets if any or that you don’t have any if that cabin does not allow pets. We ask that all these items be agreed to in the message stream at booking.

PETS: Are only welcome if we discuss them in advance of booking your trip for our approval. We only allow Dogs. We need to know their BREED, WEIGHT (we allow typically under 50 pounds of total pet weight, but ask us if larger), AGE (No puppies) and the PET COUNT (generally we allow 1, but if they are very small maybe two). We have a PET FEE between $10/night and $35/night depending how big the pet is. We require agreement to use a PET CRATE if you ever leave them in the house. Pets are not allowed on or in beds or on furniture. We don't allow any pets when the cabin is at maximum human person count.

THE CABIN IS IN THE MOUNTAINS: The driving approach to the cabin requires that you are comfortable driving up and down small gravel roads in the woods. Our cabin is on a county maintained gravel road that is fine for all cars Spring, Summer and Fall. During winter please come prepared for driving potentially on snowy roads and be certain you can take care of yourselves and car (snowchains, or AWD, or 4x4 are the best options). In the event of a winter storm during your stay we will instruct you on where your vehicles will be placed for your safety, this may involve a short walk from that location to the cabin door. We’ve had thousands of guests

GUEST COUNT: We only permit the guest staying at the cabin on the cabin grounds or in the cabin. You can not change or add guests without notifying us for approval. We reserve the right to not approve an increasing guest count prior to the trip, and we reserve the right to stop your trip if your guest count increases without asking our permission first. We will ask you to confirm your guest count at the time of booking.

PROVIDED : Linens, Towels, fully stocked Kitchen (see photo), coffee and amenities, a bottle of wine and chocolate samples, propane for grill and all that you see pictured. We do not provide other food of any type.

WIFI - Your internet is Satellite based. That means it has a delay and is not ideal for 2 way or streaming communication such ZOOM or Netflix. During a storm the weather can cloud out the connection and your WiFi may degrade. We have had guests work, game and play in our cabin with out issue, we point this out as there are no buried cables or fiber on our remote properties and weather can be an issue. So if its a huge requirement to stream video then we may not be the cabin for you.

SCALEABLE PRICING: We do practice scaleable pricing in this cabin. Your cleaning fee is the lowest around for the first 4 guests, after that pricing increases $35/night/person until the cabin reaches its capacity of six persons. This allows couples coming to not have to pay as much for cleaning as those who occupy all rooms / beds This is our method of providing a discount to small groups.

CABIN LICENSE: We are providing you a License to use our Cabin similar to that of renting a car, as a licensee you are bound to the cabin rules at all times, and you forgo the rights of a "lease" or "tenant". Violations of our cabin rules can result in your immediate removal from our cabin, by renting our cabin you agree to these terms. If you'd like a full copy of the license please let us know in advance and one will be provided to you.
The cabin is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a fenced private yard.

As described and secluded

This property is cozy and a good size. I’d say for two is just right even though there are more beds than one. I was pleasantly surprised by variety of cookware and the hot tub was in working order, towels and linens were nice and the water got nice and hot.

AMAZING

The home was super clean but inviting. I cannot say enough about the views and mountainside. Absolutely breathtaking! Major winds on early Sunday morning and the owner came by to check on the home and our family. Wonderful guy! He really worked with us and answered all questions. If you want a secluded, cabin with breathtaking views and so close to Blowing rock/Boone area. THIS IS IT!! Will be staying again and again!

Perfect four nights. Very pleasant, clean, and a great kitchen and living area. View from bedroom ridiculously beautiful. We've stayed at 30-40 VRBO's and this was one of the best. Professional and responsive management. If you are looking for a scenic getaway, this is it.

Great cabin for family

This cabin was great for our family of 4 (kids are 3 & 5). The space worked well and kids loved staying upstairs. I was concerned when we booked about how far we would be from Blowing Rock but there was no need for concern, the cabin is very close to town. The only item to be aware of is the stairs are very steep and were a little tough to navigate for the kids. We would definitely stay here again or recommend to a friend.

Rocky Road Meets Really Restful Beauty

Once we got up the mountain roads and recovered, we were in awe of all the beauty. The view was absolutely incredible! The cabin was rustic but clean and attractive and provided everything we needed. The hot tub was great the first evening and the weather was lovely so we sat outside on the porch a lot. We shopped till we dropped and celebrated my birthday. We had such fun! Two easy suggestions would be: First, provide a large can of bug/mosquito spray and secondly, (and more important) get a comfy chair for the living area. There were 4 senior women and 3 places to sit in the evening. Without another comfy chair, we probably would not return. All in all, thank you for your home. It was a wonderful time for all! Sally

The perfect hideaway

Entry to this cabin is rugged and perfectly secluded. The entire area has beautiful views and many natural wonders to enjoy! If you're looking for an escape, this is it! We loved exploring the immediate area of the cabin and the picturesque sunrises and sunsets. We had one difficulty with the fireplace and the owner was quick to resolve the issue. The interaction was super friendly and accommodating. We happily recommend this stay for anyone with 4-wheel drive!
