Beautiful property & great location. Needs some attention to maintenance: upstairs tub drain is clogged-slow draining. Cooktop surface light out. If guests intend to cook, they need to bring their own cookware—cookware provided is greatly worn. Also, flatware, particularly spoons, needs replenishing.

The house was clean inside but the outside porch wasn’t cleaned at all. Debris and spiderwebs everywhere. We booked the house mainly for the hot tub and I even called the rental company specifically to make sure it would be clean right before we arrived, and we were assured it would be and when we arrived, there was debris all in the bottom of it, and it looked like it had not been used or serviced for a long time. So we never even used it. Huge disappointment. The cushions and chairs on the porch were very dirty so we didn’t get to enjoy outdoors at all. We did enjoy the pool table, inside. They should make sure someone comes by a property before a renter shows up and feels very disappointed. We will stay at Embers next time in downtown Blowing Rock because you just can’t trust renting from management teams that do not do what they say.

Very nice for family, especially with adult children. The three rooms each with their own bathroom is great. Love the family area and ability to still be together even if the couples are platong pool in the loft. Large porch with room to stretch out and enjoy each others company, but also separate for some couple space. Clean and open.

Fourth of July Weekend

Nice house and location but needs some attention to detail. We enjoyed decks, hot tub, and pool table. Wi-fi was poor and was provided by hot-spot that only worked adequately in main room. Since location didn’t allow cable internet (satellite tv was provided) really should consider Starlink as good wi-fi should be bare minimum. Gas Grill looked fine but needed serious cleaning and maintenance - burners were rusted through and grease fire from lack of cleaning did not create a good experience.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We enjoyed our stay in High Country at this property! It was extremely clean and well stocked! We loved the covered porch area with plenty of comfortable seating. We enjoyed playing games at the large kitchen table until the wee hours of the morning! The sun coming through the windows in the mornings was beautiful! Plenty of space for a family to enjoy a week of quality time together!

The cabin/home was beautiful inside, clean and convenient to Blowing Rock. I fully recommend this as a superb place to get away and relax.

Outstanding getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room. Well stocked. The deck was awesome for the dogs Blowing Rock is a great town with excellent restaurants and shops. We would definitely recommend this house for a getaway.

Perfect relaxing getaway

My family stayed here for a long weekend in October to take in the beautiful fall leave changing scenery. This house exceeded our expectations and we spent the majority of time on the gorgeous covered porch. The hot tub was super clean and it was so nice to get out and enjoy the gas fire place and comfy patio furniture. We loved that the porch had a gate to close it in so the dogs could be outside with us safely without having to be tied up. We would definitely be back! The drive up and down the mountain was a bit scary due to the narrow gravel road but as long as you have 4wheel drive you should be fine.

Stress Relief

It was absolutely PERFECT. Clean , beautiful, had everything you would need or want. Didn’t want to leave and will sure be back. It’s exactly like it’s name Stress Relief. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Great family getaway

My husband, 3 adult children and I enjoyed the property very much! We used the grill, lounged on the back deck, spent an evening around the fire pit. We did not use the hot tub, but there’s a huge basket of pool towels available. The kitchen had more than enough for us to prepare 2 breakfasts and three dinners. Comfortable and casual. When we VRBO we are always on the lookout for 3 bedrooms that actually have a full size bed so our kids don’t have to sleep in a twin, so this was a perfect setup. Thank you for sharing this rental property with us!

Weekend away

What a great house for a mountain weekend away with our family! We had possible inclement weather during our stay and the property manager text and gave us the option to check out later if needed. Only issue we had was the hot tub would not get above 98 degrees the second night we were there and we felt like it was too late to reach out to the property manager. It worked like a charm the first night though and we all enjoyed it!

Amazing place to stay with a great sunrise view over the mountains right out the back door. Wrap around porch has gates that help contain pets. Hot tub and gas fire pit were relaxing amenities. Great area close to a lot of major attractions. Would highly recommend this for family or friend groups.

Great stay at a relaxing, clean location!

The property was in great condition and extremely clean (even being dog friendly!). We loved that the deck was wrap around with a gate in the front entrance so the dogs could actually free roam safely around the deck. We had difficulties getting the hot tub to heat up (we did get it to work one night and it felt amazing) but full disclosure we did not put the effort into calling the maintenance number to help get it working...we just sort of gave up and moved on to other activities. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances etc. Had a great time :)

Awesome getaway spot.

This is a great property with all you need for a vacation near Blowing Rock. Home, deck and peace and quiet are great and everything was clean and ready. House is really well setup and comfortable. Blowing Rock, Boone and plenty of hiking spots are nearby. Having AWD/4WD is a good idea for the gravel road but the drive is a neat part of disconnecting from the busier parts of the area. Hope to come back again!
