GITE DU CHATEAU DU RIVAU

Our cottage is located a 5-minute walk from the Château du Rivau (outside the grounds), where adults can discover the remarkable gardens and exhibitions, and children with numerous activities.
Longère of the 13th century, located in the Rabelais countryside, our cottage consists of 3 double bedrooms, one bedroom with a single bed, and one bedroom with three single beds. It is located 15 mins from Chinon, and 10 mins from Richelieu, between Saumur, Poitiers and Tours.
The very bright living room with its kitchen area opens onto the garden thanks to its large windows.
You want to relax or read ... the sitting area in the courtyard, and the lounge seats await you in the large bedroom.
The cottage has a private courtyard and an outdoor jacuzzi available to people staying on site. A foosball table and outdoor games are available for children in the playroom.
The vacation home is heated and features a kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 5 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and an ironing board.

Quiet and relaxing lication in a very small hamlet close to Chinon

Having rented gites in France ovee many years we have always been slightly disappointed by tired properties, but this gite lived up to its description in all respects. Everything needed for a relaxing holiday but we were a party of 4 if 10 I think it would be crowded. Locally there are many chateaux and attractions within 60 minutes of the gite. Chinon and Tours offer small town facilities. Would recommend this gite to smaller groups.

Décevant

Location décevante. Bien que les draps et serviettes étaient propres, le reste du gîte était sale, des toiles d'araignées et de poussière partout, la vaisselle douteuse les tiroirs à couverts sales, bref on était obligé de laver avant tout ce qu'on voulait utiliser. Le lave vaisselle nettoyait très mal, du coup on relavait encore une fois derrière. La table branlante, les chaises en osier abîmées... Le pire a été la souris qui a grimpé le long d'une serviette dans la grande chambre (on a vu après qu'il y avait un piège à souris dans un coin de la chambre, mais inefficace apparemment). Bref on voit que le gîte a été bien à une époque mais pas du tout entretenu, nous ne recommandons pas du tout!

Gîte confortable spacieux et bien situé dans le sud du val de Loire

Tout s'est bien déroulé dans le gite. Le hameau est calme et entouré de cultures. Sa proximité au château de Rivau permet de s'y balader aisément. Chinon, l'abbaye de Fontevraud et Richelieu sont également proches.
