I stayed in this hotel two nights at the start and finish of my Lofoten photography trip. The Best Western Lofoten is located in Leknes a small town in the Lofoten Islands. It’s location being 10 mins from the main airport makes it a perfect starting point for a Photography experience of a lifetime. The Lofoten Islands are stunning. Leknes is small but well equipped with small restaurants and cafes and a shoppers by mall. The Best Western is well equipped “motel” style accommodation with ample parking directly outside. Rooms are a good size for an overnight stay and the dining area serves a great breakfast. Ask for a ground level room if you can’t manage bags up stairs the only access for the first floor rooms. I have rated this five stars as it sits well in the lower cost short stay accommodation in a fairly remote part of Norway. @tony.irving
Stayed in this hotel on two separate travel to Norway. Firstly, a solo trip on September 2016 and secondly, on February 2017. This hotel is just a 3 minute drive from the airport in Leknes. There are restaurants and shopping complex nearby. It has wide open space free parking. Rooms are clean, decent sized and breakfast food is great. Staff are accomodating and helpful. I'll definitely stay again in this hotel should I decided to visit Lofoten in the future.
Leknes does not offer too many hotels and this Best Western Hotel offers several rooms at an affordable price for Lofoten standards. The rooms are clean but small. Breakfast is ok with a good choice of food. The hotel personnel could be more gentle overall!
This is the only hotel in the middle of Lofoten, situated in Leknes. The rooms are clean and the food is okay. There is a breakfast buffet serving Norwegian breakfast. The hotel was built in the middle of the nineties, soon it is time for renovation. Because of the demand, the price for an overnight stay is a little bit more expensive than you may expect.
The Best Western Hotel in Leknes has a very friendly and efficient reception. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant serves tasty dishes and provides a good breakfastbuffet. The hotel is in a good location for exploring the historical Viking grounds on the Lofoten.
Really nice hotel close to Haukland beach which is Amazing. Cosy Hotel Lounge where you eat both the nice hotel breakfast and nice dinners. The staff is really helpful and the beds at least on floor 1 is really comfy. Bathrooms is newly renovated and really clean.
The breakfast and dinners were good and the hotel staff was excellent. I enjoyed the candle lit common area and the location was close to the market and mall there. Bathrooms were very clean and laundry service worked out well.
part of a photo group, staying here for 4 nites. clean and convenient at a reasonable price for the area. beds were quite comfortable and the shower was excellent. there's a breakfast buffet which was good but not elaborate and included in the rate. the shocker was the restaurant served a dinner at night that had about 6 entrees and it was exceptional. this is an example of not being able to tell a book by its cover. also one of the only places in the area you can have laundry done.
Used this hotel as a base for a week in the Lofoten Islands. Double room was fine although storage was very very limited and certainly a squeeze for one let alone 2 people. Breakfast buffet was good but dinner menue was limited so ended up eating out every night. Overall a good base and Leknes has a bit to offer as well.
Leknes has an optimal location for many attractions and the hotel is well located in Leknes. Rooms are average, but clean and comfortable. The food offering is good for breakfast and dinners was very tasteful as well. Will go back and can recommend to others.
