Excellent hotel, great stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay at The Castle Hotel. Caroline, Dom and all the team were very friendly and welcoming. The Castle is spacious, immaculately kept and well managed. Our bedroom was large and comfortable with everything we could need. Highly recommended.

Property well maintained and clean ,however, my room 23 was subject to noise till midnight from what may have been a generator, plus bottles being put out in bins. The rip off price of £4.90 for a bottle of Harrogate still water for my room meant I gave no further business for food apart from 2 continental breakfasts The shower was very sliippery and the hotel is aware of this as it has a small notice in the bathroom advising to request a bathmat, This mat should be available in the bathroom without having to ask for one. I have contacted GK separately .

The box

Room was quite small and no room for placement of suitcases. No air conditioning only a small desk fan so room became hot as it got the sun all day. Only a small top opening window to allow air in, but at night you had to close curtains due to large flood lights in carpark which also reflected off the bedroom mirror. So room became very stifled. Staff very friendly and food was nice

Lovely location next to English Heritage Castle. Great value for money, food was excellent and very comfy room. Will use this hotel again when next in the area.

Lovely location, good breakfast and superb staff. Pam and Becca were excellent. Room was warm and clean, good selection of tea & cofffee. Kettle, hairdryer iron & board. Easily to get to and withing easy reach of Leicester. Very busy pub and restaurant at night, but didnt hear a thing. Parking available but few spaces left Satuarday evening.

Lovely property. Helpful friendly staff. Good food. Easy parking. Lovely shower. Bed headboard a bit dusty but apart from that spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Bed was comfortable. Room was a good size. Good range of hot drinks in room with decent sized cups and nice glasses. Lovely touch with personal welcome note and chocolates. The only thing for us was that the room was really too warm even with windows open and radiator switched off. TV - lots of channels that didn’t work. Would definitely stay again.

Superb - I look forward to returning!

A very warm welcome as soon as I entered the hotel awaited me. I was soon checked-in and away to my room that was a cosy single. The room and en-suite were both clean and the bed very comfortable. There was a super choice for breakfast both continental and full English etc. I chose the latter that set me up for the day and was delicious. I had dinner on 2 occasions and that was beautifully cooked and well presented. I shall definitely return next time I am in the area.
