Stayed in a villa by that long pool. It has a great view of the complex. It is near the resto and the beach. I did notice though that some of the facilities were a bit dilapidated but it must have been due to the typhoon that affected Bicol. You could see that they were doing maintenance work. I guess if you'd like to stay here, the Beach Villas would be a good option since they're new. Their service was a complete turnaround and I'd like to commend our angel, Jen for helping our stay to be more memorable. The manager and supervisor were also accommodating. Also, I would recommend that you visit their picnic area that has the view of Mayon and other mountains. They can make a special arrangement to set up snacks and cocktails. The food in the resto is delicious although a bit limited.
Very nice resort. worth the price. our villas were just right in front of the pool. The rooms were big. The beds were very comfortable. Bathroom very spacious. Highly recommended for family. Minimum of 2 night stay is a must!
We were married here in 2014 and stayed at their beach front Junior Suite. After a couple of years, we came back to celebrate our anniversary and our baby's first birthday. The one thing that has not changed from our first visit to the next was the friendliness of the staff and the sumptuous food. Misibis will always be special to us.
Worth every penny. Staff are very accommodating. The beach and the pool exceeds our expectation. Also food is good! All corners are picturesque. Don't forget to visit the amphitheater for a perfect sunset location.
Misibis Bay was a mixed experience for us. We checked in in the evening to one of the garden view rooms....avoid these if you can. They are dated, small and for the night that we stayed there, there was no running water. We told the front desk about the water issue and they were accommodating in finding a new room for us. They are obviously aware that this is a problem in these rooms, so really they shouldn't be renting them out. We were moved to an Ocean view room and it was lovely. If we had to stay in the Garden room, we likely would have requested a refund and left the resort completely. The resort itself is nice, though located far from everything so get used to eating all your meals at the one restaurant they have. The restaurant is just ok, with a decent selection at the buffet. We asked at the front desk if we could do any of the advertised tours and we were told that we'd have to book them as a private tour as not enough other guests were signed up to do any. This was disappointing as it was quite expensive. We ended up leaving a day early in order to explore Legaspi city, which was a good choice for us. All in all, Misibis is a decent resort which is probably more suited towards families and maybe older people. What saves the resort are the great staff, who are very welcoming, polite and helpful.
All is well, the room, the staff, the place and the food, we truly enjoyed our stay in Misibis bay. I will definitely still recommend to everyone to experience Misibis though their are little flaws on reservation ,because it took time for them to reply on the customer email and some of their phone numbers are hard to reach. Upon arrival on the reception for getting the room keys we waited for 30 mins because our room is not yet ready.
The hotel is far from the town and airport. From the airport, it will take you an hour and a half to reach the hotel via private van which will cost you 600PHP per person one way. I suggest that they should put in the website how to get to Misibis Bay. I have to look it up in the web but can't really find how to commute from legazpi airport so I ended up availing for pick up which is not cheap by the way. Anyway, the driver who picked us up is nice and friendly. We alao got complimentary small bottle of cold water. On the way to the resort, the driver has high lighted few sights to see like the old church and the mayon volcano. Check in was smooth. By the way, they require you to have a safety deposit of 3000PHP per day which either you can give cash or credit card. The room. We had the standard Pacific View Room. The room is big, has nice tv, bed and pillows are comfortable however there are a lot of mosquitoes in the room. I know we are in the Philippines and mosquitoes are everywhere but I strongly suggest that the hotel puts a mosquito repellant that you can plug in. We also had an issue with the toilet. For some reason everytime you take a shower, a water leaks outside. It is annoying to have a soaking wet bathroom rug everytime you take a shower! The restaurant. The hotel has only one restaurant. We had breakfast buffet included in our room price. The selection and the food is ok. I am not a vegetarian but I do love veggies, so it was nice to see one vegetatian choice at least in he buffet. My only complain is the breakfast juice. It tastes HORRIBLE!!! It is very very very sweet. Taste like they put a lot of sweet and low sugar in the juice. Outside breakfast buffet, we had a la carte for lunch and dinner. The Filipino food they have on the menu is disappointing to the taste. I had bulalo - it was very peppery! Adobo - too sweet. Pinakbet, lechon kawali, laing and vegetable spring roll are just ok. Amenities: The gym aircon is not working, there are no windows you can open so it feels sauna inside. The pool is nice. They also have a small area where children can play, so that's a thumbs up. I guess this hotel is good for families but not for adventurous people. I was surprised that non motorized sport activities has a fee and it is not cheap. Snorkelling is i think 200 or 150 php for 30mins!??! Paddle boarding and kayak is the same. This is the only high end resort I have been to where they charge guests for non motorized activities. The staff: no complaints about the staff, they are all nice and friendly and very accommodating to requests so well done! Am I gonna come back? No because there is no reason for me to visit the place again. The beach is not even nice plus nothing else to do there unless u pay a lot of money for activities which u can do cheaper in other part of the country like BoHol, palawan, cebu and boracay.
Misibis Bay is less than hour from Legazpi City. We availed of the airport shuttle from the resort which is 600pax/person/way. I called some tour companies in Legazpi to ask how much it would cost to take us to Misibis from the airport and it's actually more expensive (2400 for 2 pax per way, and the other company advised us that it would cost us 1800 for 2 pax per way). So we opted to avail of the airport shuttle from Misibis. We were on the early morning flight, when we landed in Legazpi airport, there was a representative already of Misibis that welcomed us. We left the airport around 7am then arrived in the resort at around 7:50am. When we got off the van, they gave us bracelets and assisted us to the front desk. We were advised that our room is still not available since their personnel is still cleaning it. Around 9am, we were advised that our room is already available. We rode the golf cart and they showed us our room. What I like about the resort is... their lofts have about 8 rooms and it also has a mini swimming pool. The room is spacious, bathroom is clean and the toiletries provided are imported. There's a free native bag and slippers. There is no convenience store or restaurants available outside the resort. So you have no choice but to avail of the food from their restaurant. Our room rate does not include breakfast. They told us that the prices may vary but at the time we were there. Buffet breakfast costs 650/pax, lunch 750/pax, dinner @ 850/pax. They also have ala carte meals but it is only a few pesos cheaper than the buffet. Food is okay and the choices in the menu are good. If you would think about it, the food price is really expensive but what the heck! we have no choice and we are on vacation so just make the most of it! Their swimming pool is huge and there's quite a few of them in the resort :) you cannot really get to swim in the ocean because I think its dangerous that is they built a breakwater. The staff are very friendly and nice. Always willing to help and assist the customers. Overall I would recommend this resort because I really had a relaxing time during my stay here.
We are from Sweden and excited to see this small paradise Island. It was close to everything, the beach, restaurant and pool. The worker was very friendly and helpful. Not so crowded and very accomodating. We got this room front of the beach and it was so cozy and beautiful sunset. My almost 2 y/o son was enjoyed to swim and use the playroom. Very comfortable place anyway! Aircon was on and off for several times especialy noticed in the night. The wi-fi was very unreliable and slow. There was also hard to login to wi-fi and had to be done every time going from one building to another. The tv was a nice 50" but no HD-chanels. The beach had a wave breaker that formed a small lagoon but they rented jets generating noise and contaminated the water. One of the problem when i used my card to pay a bill they suddenly failed during payment but the transaction was succesful so they tried once more the same bill and that was also succesful, now my card was debited double amount. Luckily i had online bank to my telephone so that i can see every transaction made on the card. We settle the problem but still its a mess. I need to wait between 3 days to 3 weeks to refund the money, VERY DISSAPOINTED! In the reception during checking out. I had paid the whole amount with my card but they stated i did not pay yet the transportation. I argument that i payed already so she need to check in the computer and she saw it was payed! Please double check everything transaction in the card and their bills. The Best and safest way is to bring a LOT of CASH because of the OVER PRICE in food, outside activities, room and the Laundry if u wish to wash your clothes anyway!
It was my not my first time in Bicol yet it is my first time to experience such luxurious resort hotel. They give justice to their high price hotel because they have a very accommodating staff, a very delicious food from breakfast to dinner, Their rooms are clean and the bed is big. They have also a nice comfort rooms, that I think thats a good thing in hotels. They have a lot of big swimming pool. Enticing and Eye-Catching view are just outside our window. Overall, it is quite expensive but I think in all amenities and good experience in the hotel all in all I am satisfied. They just need to maintain everything.
