This is a very peaceful place right on the lake. It has a screened in porch overlooking the boat dock on deep water. My husband and adult son caught several crappie off the dock and enjoyed themselves. I would not want to do much cooking here as the kitchen is small but there are grills on the porch that would be great. I also recommend Tony's Steak Barn and Decks and Docks. This would not be the best place for small children or older adults. The sidewalk down to the lake is very steep. But it is a great place if you want a peaceful place to stay on deep water. The host was very quick to respond to any questions and very helpful. Thank you for letting us stay at your comfortable, peaceful property!

It was not the Ritz. But it was right on the lake. Had a great boat dock on a quiet cove. Super great that it is pet friendly, because my dog loves to fish. She runs to be right in front of you every time you reel in to see what you caught. Even if it’s just your bait. But we caught a lot of fish: 13 inch crappy. Lots of cat fish ( I caught a 10 pound cat fish ), Brim, one stripe, and some turtles. I also enjoy that it’s close to Walmart. I made a Walmart order so when we got there we unloaded our Stuff, and then drove ten minutes to Walmart to pick up our groceries and goods for the week. Also, we were three minutes from Casa corner, which had bait and fish supplies, and a buffet, and anything else you need store. You really didn’t need to bring anything for the home because it was fully stocked with just about anything you needed. Second time I’ve been there and both times we had a great time.

It was an awesome experience fishing and staying on Weiss Lake,the only problem we had was the directions sent us to a house down the street but one simple call to the owner and she had us in the driveway

I dont agree with the description of the size of the driveway. I was driving a longbed crew cab truck, that and my 18ft boat would not fit in the available space. I couldnt even get the truck all the way to the cabin without jockying the truck back and forth a couple times.

The host was great and her communication was awesome!! The place was perfect for us staying with dogs, they are part of our family and there was a place to walk them and room for our crates! The AC was in each room, clean home, no pests and clean bathrooms/shower and great space outside and inside! Highly recommend staying here!! The pier and water is perfect!!

It's a cute place and very quiet place and all in all we had a great time but we did have a few issues. The shower seemed to have absolutely no hot water. The propane hose for the grill had a very significant leak so we didn't feel safe using it and cooked inside instead. The cookware offered inside was very limited and "thrown together" feeling.

Clean, comfortable, outside seating area is abundant. No central a/c. Owner promptly provided sufficient additional cooling via an additional window unit in a bedroom. Great host!

Wonderful Vacation

Cozy house, beautiful lake, friendly neighbors! Our Goldendoodle had a blast in the lake. Caught a few fish, but it really was too hot for good fishing. Hope to come back again soon after it cools off a little. We think we may have found where we would like to retire at! Thank you Rebecca for sharing your slice of paradise!

Perfect getaway for some R&R

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little house the last week in May. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch where we played games and listened to the rain on the tin roof. Our only complaint was it was TOO relaxing lol! The beds and couch were very comfortable. Kitchen a bit small but we managed since it was just me, my husband, and our dog. The property has lots of shade and pretty private, which was great. With so much rain, we weren’t able to enjoy getting in the water much bc it made it very cold. But we chilled on the dock as much as we could when the sun was out—love that it’s a very short walk from the porch. Hubby caught several fish too! The gas grill was very nice also; we used it a good bit. We will definitely be returning later this Summer when it’s warmer.

Most enjoyable

The wife the dog and I really enjoyed our stay. The lake was beautiful. We caught a ton of bass crappie and catfish. Pretty easy access to the lake. It was well stocked. The bed was super comfortable. It was very clean. It also was very convenient to Walmart and a place called Cossa corner. If you needed anything that was where to get it from, we loved our stay and plan to go again.
