I was aware of the mixed reviews when I booked. I contacted the hotel prior to arriving as I wanted a bigger room and a travel cot and I got what I asked for. A good start! The room was clean, a decent size with an adjoining room for the travel cot. The bathroom needed some major TLC. Whilst it was clean, the shower tray over flowed as the water was slow to drain away. The paint work on the shelf was peeling as well as the door frame. Breakfast was good but if you turned up late you had to ask for things as they would not replenish due to it being close to the end of breakfast. Standard continental, cereals, eggs, bread, fruit etc. We did get smoked salmon on a few days which was a nice surprise. All the staff were friendly and Alessandra on reception was extremely helpful and polite! The hotel is located opposite the Bus Terminal, perfect if you are getting the shuttle from Brindisi Airport (€6.50 pp) and approximately 10/15 min walk into the centre. Overall, a good hotel but in need of a refurb.
I used to stay at Tiziano Hotel 15 years ago when I did work in Lecce. According to the pictures they show in the website I thought they renewed it. Well, it's partially true: one wing of the hotel has been refurbished while the main one is still like 15 years ago with a substantial difference: in 15 years thousands of persons stayed there and the hotel is in need of refurbishment! The moquette is really a disaster, stains everywhere (really disgusting) and even the walls have been patchy somehow with different paint. Really a pity... to pay such money and get that room you feel like you have thrown your money out of the room window! Nothing to say about the staff: they do their best and everybody is ready to help and serve you, but for the rest is really a waste. I won't go there again.
This hotel is very close to the bus terminal for the airport so very convenient. It is a large hotel which has probably seen better days but it was clean if a little tired in places. The hotel staff were very helpful even before we arrived sorting out a fantastic taxi driver to help is get to a church and then the Castillo Monaci for a wedding. We had a superior room which was big enough with a very co ofrtable 6 foot wide bed and crisp white bed linen. The bathroom was quite big too and had newly fitted toilet, bidet and hand basin, but the shower tray was cracked and if you weren't careful water leaked out under the shower door. The buffet breakfast was much like any other in an average hotel but the staff were good at replacing items that has run out. The pool area was lively with comfortable sun beds and great music. You are obliged to wear a swimming hat but these are available from the pool bar along with towels. The general bar staff are very friendly and helpful. On the whole this hotel is conveniently located to both the transport to and from the airport (Sita bus costing 6.50 euros one way if you pre buy the ticket) and just a ten minute stroll into the old town of Lecce. Lecce is a lovely small city which comes live at night with many great places to eat. This hotel is basically not high end but gives good value for money.
A lot of employees enjoying more to have fun than taking care of customers. They are not polite at all. You will see that it's so easy to obtain any key room, so we didn't want to let them our passports - as they wanted to keep them to make the check-in at their convenient time. I asked to have it back straight away, the reaction was very rude. We selected this one for the swimming pool. But they close it at 7 pm, so what's the point ? During the day, I enjoy to travel not to stay at a hostel in the middle of a hot city ! The room had nothing great and smelt humidity. The air conditioning is an old manual system You can reach the historic centre in 20 min by walk
We stayed here for 2 nights. Once in our room we headed for the shower after a very hot day. When my husband came out he said you either have a boiling hot shower or a cold one. Rubbish bin in bathroom was full and lid was broken from previous occupiers. The air conditioner wasn't working. Handyman came up and supposedly fixed everything which was not true as shower was still very hot or cold nothing inbetween. Told reception about air con not working only to be told by the handyman that it was working perfectly even though after 4 hours the temperature was still 29 degrees. Both nights was like sleeping in a sauna. We went to dinner 1st night at 8.30 and first plate was served at 9.30 after complaining. Last plate arrive d at 10.40. Totally unsatisfactory. Restaurant 2nd night was not to bsd we were finished by 9.30.I have travelled quite a bit but by far this was the worst hotel that we have stayed at. This hotel was rated 4 star but I would not give it more than 2. I am not being biased but take my advice avoid this hotel.
This was by far the worst hotel me and my girlfriend have stayed!! The room had ants which gave my girlfriend allergic reaction. Asked reception to change the room and the gave us a room where it took forever for the shower water to drain. Staff did not respect the "do not disturb" sign at the door, they would simply knock!! The TV was a nightmare to simply switch on! The hotel is very '80's in decor. It is being advertised as a 4 star hotel but in my opinion it only manages half a star. The only good point was the swimming pool at the back!
Stayed 2 nights on Riviera Travel tour. Room was spacious and modern. In room Wifi excellent. But old TV which was difficult to operate. On return to room, only boiling water was flowing through all taps. But this was fixed. No kettle or tea/coffee in room. Lunch at this hotel was excellent. Breakfast was OK. Walk into Lecce town is a 10-15 minute walk along a busy dusty road.
There was plenty of seating in the foyer, but breakfast was a real scrummage with the other tour groups. Although our guide made light of the walk to the entrance to the old town, it was at least 10 minutes down a horrid main road with poor pavements. So, by the time we got to meet-up with the guide near Porta di Napoli, some of us less mobile were already a little jaded. Our room was large and comfortable.
The entrance was not ideal with more than a couple of people creating a crowd! The swimming pool area had a number of "moving" paving stones when you walked on them and the pool itself needed cleaning. Up on the sixth floor the views on our side of the building were nothing to shout about but the room was large modern and comfortable. The bed similar. Breakfast was a typical affair with the usual food although there were some nice chocolate croissants! Staff always courteous and helpful. The location was ideal being a ten minute walk to the old town which is what we had come to see - so a plus.
My first impression at this hotel was having to shove my way through the mob of smokers that surrounded the front door. As we checked into a surreal scene in which the lobby and all common space was taken over by a convention for a school for beauty queens, we are asked to leave our passports with the front desk agent. WHAT? No I don't think so. I instructed him to either make a photocopy or take a picture, but I was not leaving my passport. Directions to our room, the invisible building b were lousy and did not include a map of the property. The carpet on the stairs is so sorry looking and dirty... they should have replaced it five years ago. Room lacked electrical outlets next to bed, shower sprayed all over the bathroom floor, finish was coming off the floor, no coffee maker in room or in room safe. Food in dinning room was good but service was below average. Breakfast buffet was decent. Overall pick someplace else there are much better hotels in town with better locations in lovely Lecce.
