This is the 2nd time for us staying in the yurts. Very affordable, comfy bed, cleanliness of whole property, attention to details, and beautiful location. So close to nature and owners do a nice job of providing everything you need. Lanterns, bedding, towels, toiletries, firewood, coffee. Enjoy the decorating and landscaping outside the property. There is also a gathering space with seating, games, beverages, and tv viewing. Plenty of places to gather and enjoy nature! I look forward to returning next year!

Affordable and clean.

We stayed here for Kool Deadwood nights. Couldnt beat the price anywhere else. We stayed in the hunting cabin. It was noce enough for sleeping. Bathrooms are a little far away from those cabins, but the bathrooms and showers were noce and clean. Overall we would stay again when down in the Black Hills. It is a nice place.

Wow what a gem. This place was absolutely beautiful. The staff was amazing, the yurt we stayed in was amazing. I am so happy we found this place, it was like a little slice of heaven. When we come back to the Black Hills this will be the place we come to stay, next time for more than one night. Thank you Whitetail Creek Resort for a wonderful evening, I slept like a baby. The shower house was clean and the water was nice and hot. I can't say enough good things about this place. Thank you again ❤️.

My husband and I stayed in the yurts. It is a beautiful setting. Surrounded by trees, flowers, and hillside. It was a great 1st experience in a yurt. Location is right off the highway and close to Lead/Deafwood. There is an eating/bar establishment within minutes. It is called the Boars Nest. The bed wad very comfortable. Items provided include lanterns, table & chairs, mirror, linens, extra blanket, towels. We did not use the charcoal grill or firepit. They also provided chairs for fire pit and wood. The yurt is decorated very cute. Their is a creek that runs right pass the yurts. Not far are bathrooms and showers. For the negatives-parking is tight and the resort is located right by the highway. Therefore, you can hear traffic until it stops for the night. You can also hear the creek so that can be a positive or a negative depending on your likings. There are several types of lodging experiences in this location. I would definitely stay again!

The cabin we were in the first night was nice but the second night was freezing cold there was one little tiny battery powered light that was dead. The second night wasn’t comfortable at all. We paid for seven days and only stay for two days with no reimbursement of the rest of the days I spent 300 something dollars for two nights For something that is $32 a night and it was horrible and cold the second night

DO NOT STAY HERE

I would not stay here if my life depended on it. The person at the desk was rude and very unhelpful.

I was looking for an inexpensive alternative to camping or a cheap motel - the ‘yurts’ at Whitetail Creek were perfect. Comfortable double bed and plenty space inside, BBQ to cook my own dinner, and a large shared fire pit for evenings. Everything I needed, and run by friendly and competent people! Be aware that if it gets cold you’ll want all the blankets (ask for more if you need), and there is no electricity in the tent, but several electric lanterns for light. And it’s a couple hundred feet to the bath/shower house, but well lit so no worries at night. They also have cabins, for those that prefer four walls (the yurts are round).

There are a lot of personal touches that show you management cares. Just look at the landscaping. These little details matter. A+ camping cabin experience.

I stayed in a yurt with queen bed. It was very clean, as was the shower/bath building. If I had any complaints they would be toilet stall is too small, and I am a small guy. Also road is noisy until 9 or so. Manager/(owner?) was very knowledgeable and friendly.
