The host went above and beyond. He allowed us to check in early, which started our vacation off great. The house was well stocked and every detail covered. We spent the weekend in the big game room. The adults could play while watching the kiddos play.

EXCELLENT house in the area! We and a few other families had a wonderful time staying here. They had everything we needed and more. Plenty of space to spread out, the beds were comfortable, views were great! I’d say the game room and hot tub were the highlight! Great communication from start to finish. Highly recommend if you’re visiting the area!

We came up for Sturgis and our group loved this place!! The driveway and location are amazing. The kitchen had everything and more that you would need to feed a group of 14. There was more than enough room for everyone. The hot tub was a nice touch after a long day on the bikes. The community centers pool was great to cool down on those really hot days. The garage had ample space for all the bikes. Which was awesome, since you never know what the weather might do. We will for sure be staying at this place the next time we are up!!!!

Our family always has an amazing experience at the kickback shack black hills! The house is beautiful. And we adore the owners. Kids love playing in the game room and we always enjoy the hot tub. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and very organized to make it easy to prep meals. All the bedrooms are beautiful and the beds are so comfortable. We also love the amenities from the club house. Our kids had a great time swimming in the two pools all week. The house has a great location. Close to hiking trials, and ATV rentals and so much more. We can’t wait to go back!!

What we wanted!!

We stayed a week and it was wonderful. The location and everything that was provided was great. The beds were very comfortable; the game room was fantastic. Brad was great; very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

Kickback Shack is The Perfect Place to Rent

The Kickback Shack was all we needed and more. This property was super nice. Plenty of rooms with very comfortable beds. The house had all the things we needed as far as a grill, kitchen utensils, laundry supplies, etc. Game room and hot tub were also very nice. We brought side by sides out on our trip, and this property had extra room out front of the garage to park everything. We had three trucks with trailers and still had enough room to park the side by sides in the garage at night. The house was really clean. Definitely staying here for our next trip out to deadwood!

Great family get away!

We’ve stayed several times in the Black Hills.This property and neighborhood was one of our favorites! Plenty of space and things to do for all ages. Host was wonderful on communication. Very much enjoyed our stay!

Thanksgiving 2024

Thanksgiving is always WONDERFUL to spend with Family! Our tradition was BLESSED beyond measure with this FULLY stocked beautiful home nestled in the trees and what the Hills has to offer. Very comfortable & clean for our children and grandchildren! Kitchen FULLY stocked, high chair, games, toys and books for the kiddos, Hot Tub to welcome us all, phenomenal Location to do a little Deadwood and take in the Christmas North Pole train ride from Hill City. Wouldn't change a thing! Great communication with the host!

Beautiful Home

Loved our time at the Black Hills. This home was beautiful and well taken care of. Every room was amazing and every detail from the blanket/ throws to the coffee mugs were lovely. Beautiful home / larger than pictures look!

Questions or concerns home owner was in contact within 2 hrs max each time. AMAZING JOB! Two washer/dryer sets were perfect for our group of 11. Two refrigerators. Room for 7 motorcycles (could have fit more) and chairs , coolers for evening gathering (in the driveway). We also hung on the deck some nights while grilling. Plenty of dishes to cook breakfast and dinners at the house and a table we could enjoy a meal together.

Top notch, Worth every penny

The hospitality and amenities here were above and beyond, we even left some behind for the next guests. Plenty of chairs, kitchen utensils, table space, snow shovels and sleds for the winter months, even a pressure washer. Anything and everything you might need will probably be here. For us the entertainment value was second to none with no less than a dozen activities not to mention the board games available. Some needed a little attention but we were able to play all of them. The only negative experience during our stay was no dresser or shelf space in the bedrooms. Not everything can be hung up and we had to function partly out of suitcases. Thank you for having us, we would certainly book again.

Immaculate

We have been coming out to the hills skiing with our kids and friends for over 10 years and have stayed in many different cabins in several different developments near Terry Peak. This cabin is the best we’ve stayed at…Immaculate, fully stocked kitchen including spices & coffee, a welcome gift, 5 king beds with high end linens, heated garage, perfect location and an amazing game room. Communication with the owner was a breeze with quick response to questions. Had such a great say and stayed up way too late playing poker the game room;) Thank you so much!
