This is a simple hotel right across the street from the train station. I didn't detect any train noises. The room was quite basic with a toilet in one small room and a sink and shower in a small room on the other side of the bedroom. It's not an optimal business hotel. The wifi was sponsored by some ad agency and cut out frequently. Breakfast is basic. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, but English wasn't prevalent. This hotel would be best as a layover for a train stop.

Stopped here to break up journey south. We had a triple and a double room. It's not glamorous at all, but what is there works. The shower was wonderful on first floor. Breakfast is simple but good. WARNING ABOUT CARS WITH TOP BOXES THOUGH - the max height in the car park is less than 2metres and you don't really know that until you are almost in it and to get out either means performing a tight 3 point turn or reversing back up a long narrow drive/path. Only alternative is to park in road and you are right in the centre so good luck with that. We got lucky...

I have recently returned from a 3 night stay in Le Mans for the MotoGP. We booked the Ashley Hotel as a bit of a last resort due to lack of availability, but when we checked in we were very pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and directed us to a lovely restaurant just around the corner. The room was not very large, but spotlessly clean with a huge king bed - we slept very well and could not fault the property. It is not luxury, but does not pretend to be. The location is across the street from the station, so not central to town, but within walking distance to the main square. The continental breakfast (included) was always fresh with fruit, cereals, croissants, bread, ham cheese etc and plenty of tea and coffee. I forgot to mention there are also coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms. Many thanks to the staff for a great weekend.

A very comfortable hotel for my daughter and me to relax in and enjoy. Very handy to the railway station and nearby restaurants. The room was clean, well appointed and the bed's were comfortable. The breakfast was 'self-help with a great variety of choice. Would definitely recommend to travellers.

Decent place located in a busy area. Parking very tight especially for my SUV I was upgraded to. Checking was good and staff European but friendly. Breakfast was full and good. Train and tram shirt one block walk. Le Mans cathedral/historic area fairly shirt walking distance or 3 stops on tram. Room was okay and TV had English news channels which helped stay in touch.

I was sent to the Ashley Hotel by Eurocar who left me stranded in Le Mans, late in the evening; tired frustrated and hungry; Never ever use EuroCar they cannot support you when the car breaks down. I was met by Jacque a most helpful and kind man, this guy went way out of his way to help, he telephoned Eurocar and gave them a piece of his mind and continued the barrage again on the Sunday. The hotel is in a good location; warm, clean and a good breakfast, close to some nice restaurants and 30 secs from the Gare Du Le Mans. I would recommend this hotel for its excellent service, Thank you Jacque for all your help, I wish there were more people like you in the world.

This hotel is right across from the train station (North-side exit) and looks quite classy from the street. The man at the desk was really nice despite a glitch with my reservation. On the plus side, the room was quite spacious as was the bathroom, the room was extremely clean and there was a courtesy tray with an electric kettle, tea and instant coffee, some cookies... but paper cups. On the downside, the furniture was flimsy and looked like it was hand-me-downs from Ikea, there was no hair dryer in the bathroom, the TV screen was very small and the two chairs did not even match. The bathroom has a swinging door despite the fact that there was plenty of room for a normal one. The noise from the flushing toilets and showers in other rooms was very audible. Again, all of these things were not THAT bad but this room is 129 euros for a walk-in, far too much for the room as described. If you do decide to stay here, make sure to ask for a room on the back side of the hotel, not on on the station side as there are colonies of homeless who are very rowdy and noisy late into the night.

We stayed here for 2 nights and we were impressed by the cleanliness of this hotel. From the lobby to the shower in our room, not a spot of dirt could be found. The hotel is pretty basic and is in need of some updating (loved some of the old wallpapers and carpets!) but it is central with a good bed, clean bathroom and very friendly staff who were willing to help with everything.

It is easier to win a race at “Le Mans Classic” than to book a room 9 month before. This simple hotel in front of the train station( unfortunately without air condition) had a very safe and convenient parking. The position was close enough to the Bugatti Circuit so the day after we were ready to enjoy the races. Unexpected was the quality of the breakfast: fresh and very nice presented with a good choice of fruit plus salted and sweet food. They suggested a nice restaurant for the evening, the “Saint Lo” and we were really satisfied of the experience.

We got caught out by the French rail strike and had to change our travel plans, meaning an additional night in Le Mans. Our appartment was not available so I walked in to enquire about availability, it being so close to the station. The chap at the desk was so lovely, we got a small, spotlessly clean room with separate shower room and WC. No tea or coffee, but a bottle of water each. The bed was quite comfortable and both TV and WiFi worked fine. The lift is small but welcome. No aircon, but the window opened wide and there was plenty of air movement in the room. The area felt quite safe and being so close to the station and tram stop there were plenty of cafes to choose from. Great cheap lodging for travellers.
