Excellent October holiday at Château d'Oléron. The location of the property is excellent, great sea views and close to centre of the town, all services, bakery, restaurants etc. just a few steps away. The season being what it was, we didn't get to make the most of the outdoor space, but it did serve to store our rented bikes. The town is great, for what we saw of the rest, this was the best choice for off-season holiday. For summer holidays, the beach at the Chateau is not the best, although serviceable. Other than that nothing negative. And the house is just beatiful, inside and out.
