If you're a couple or single looking for a getaway or in the Launceston area on business, it's the perfect alternative to staying in a hotel. The apartment offers a very spacious bedroom with quality queen bed, a comfortable lounge area with a large smart TV, which is Netflix enabled for your enjoyment. There's a walk in shower in the bathroom. The kitchenette is equipped with a Nespresso coffee pod machine, a microwave oven, a bar fridge, toaster & kettle, along with basic crockery & cutlery. But we seriously don't think you'll need to cook/eat at home, as the apartment is within metres of the famous Morty's Food Court, where you'll be spoiled for choice of every style of cuisine.
The heart of Launceston city is only a few short minutes stroll away. Where you'll find an abundance of retail shops, cafe's, restaurants, pubs & Village Cinema. Venture a little further & you have the world renowned Cataract Gorge & Cliff Grounds, along with Boags Brewery & Utas Stadium (home of the AFL Tassie Hawks Hawthron football club). This is the noisiest place I’ve ever stayed and I was unable to sleep even wearing earplugs. Traffic noise from cars revving all night, plus loud drunks outside until the early hours. The listing said ‘traffic noise’ but this is not sufficient warning. Also the small living room is dark with almost no natural light, and there is no kitchen sink - we had to wash dishes in the small bathroom sink. This is the first negative review I’ve ever written for a property as I prefer to contact managers directly if there is a problem, however there is no way the manager could be unaware of these issues. Really disappointing given the cost (with the very high additional host fees) was more than $250 per night.
