Central location, historic building, as described in listing. We enjoyed our stay at this property and in Launceston very much. Pros: spacious bedrooms, lots of storage, WD and well stocked kitchen. Wifi was fast, and reliable. Prompt replies from host. Walkable neighborhood. We highly recommend this property for its proximity to walking trails, downtown, a brand new IGA as well as the larger grocery stores about 25 min away. Cons are our preference and a few things the owner will likely address as we discussed with the host. However, we believe in transparency, so this is FYI. Cons: Bedrooms: We slept in the bedroom nearest bath (and away from main street) - its mattress is quite firm, with no real cushion top. The primary bedroom is near the road noise, and the mattress sags quite a bit and the best frame squeaks. nearest bottle shop is a long walk (25 min each way), there were gaps in the doors and walls that allowed cold air and a mouse in. mini split temperatures are not consistent -we were either cool, or HOT with no discernable in between. If any of these matter to you, take note.
