This hotel is a very pleasant surprise with what you can get for a fair amount of money. I will start with the nice welcoming that the lady at the reception desk, Mona, has made to us, greeting us with lemonade and offering as much information as possible. The room is perfect, with a very nice view. The pool area is really great. Breakfast offers a wide variaty of delicious dishes, all fresh, all tasty. A la carte lunch offers a great deal of international menu. The only thing that could go better would be to have sound proof windows, especially in the front of the road since the area has quite busy traffic. All in all, thank you Mona, Ioulianna and all other ladies at the bar for accomodating us and making us feel ultra welcome.
Its a nice hotel with no frills. Very nice swimming pool. Rooms are big but luck of storage spaces! No drawers only wardrobe ! Breakfast is ok but evening meal you have to be there early because if you you get there say about 9pm food doesn't look very nice ! No exciting meal more less the same food every night apart from Thursday night (Cypriot night) they do BBQ which is good. Also you have to go to the bar and buy your own water , because they dont even give you a free water with the meal. Which I found really bad. I can understand alcohol but water surely they can give it free. Staff is very nice n friendly.
The Sveltos came to my rescue for my family when we visited Cyrpus this February/March. We just showed up and luckily they had room for us all to stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was extremely cold outside while we were there so needed to leave the heating on for a long time just to try and warm up! The food was really great and I loved how friendly all the staff were. They were happy to help with any request. The pool looked lovely and it's very pretty at night, as is the dining area. The location isn't perfect, off a busy road but if you have a hire car, it's a great base for exploring the island. Wifi worked well in the rooms and I paid 10 euro for the duration of my stay to be able to use it in my room. Otherwise it's free in the common areas downstairs. There's also a gym downstairs (below the reception) and a pool table next to the bar on the ground floor. I would recommend the Sveltos!
The hotel itself is good. It has everything needed for 3 stars, maybe even more: comfortable rooms, quite big swimming pool, beautiful terrace, tasty food in restaurant. That's it. The biggest and the main drawback in this hotel - management policy. We have booked our tour and paid full price in January (!) When we arrived we've been told that there are no rooms available. Receptionist said that we will be accomodated in the hotel just across the street. The conditions there were close to terrible and our first days was completely wasted. I cannot say for sure why hotel lead such policy but I guess they are likely to accomodate people who do not book their rooms in advance and pay 3 times more, but not the ones who booked accomodation for discounted prices in winter. I'll also add that the closest beach to the hotel itself was also not good at all and the area lacks for touristic infrastructure ( nearest grocery shop is about 1 km) Anyway such unpleasant conditions motivated us to travel around the island to find better spot to chill out. Of course we found, but that's another story. To sum up If you don't want to spoil your impression about Cyprys I definetely do not recommend this place to stay.
Very good conditions, cheap, good food, large portions. Nice staff. Clean pool, clean rooms. Highly recommended. Not so nice sea or city location. Far from.larbaca, far from beatiful beaches. Overall nice, I'll visit again.
Where in Cyprus between April 20 to 27,our room 216 was very clean all days, food was also good and nothing to complain. Personal was very friendly and helpfull,I don't remember their names just Katerina, she was very kind and helped us with a lot of informations about turistic spots. I
Very friendly hotel team who look after this hotel to a high standard, the food was very good & the bar area is very nice to enjoy a drink looking out over the pool. The reception ladies are very helpful & friendly . I would recommend this hotel & look forward to returning .
It was friendly and clean. The breakfast was good and tastefull. The beach is near but not the nicest beach, it is not sandy beach. Larnaka with car is about 10min. We loved the place. The staff were very friendly.
For the second time we stayed four very pleasant days at Sveltos hotel. We were warmly received by Katerina at the reception who as usual took care of us and helped us to enjoy every moment. Thank you Katerina. Upon arriving at 23h30 the hotel restaurant was already closed, Katerina proposed to accompany us to Grada Taverna for dinner where we were pleasantly received by the owner of the restaurant. The grilled pork skewers, the French Fries and the village salad were very tasty and the atmosphere very friendly. The hotel is very well maintained, the room spacious, the beds comfortable, the bathroom clean and the breakfast excellent. In addition the staff very friendly and professional. During our short stay we had the opportunity to meet, once again Panayotis, Sveltos owner who with his kindness, he let us feel at home. This time, we still had the opportunity to have another CD with beautiful cypriot songs. A big Thank you Panayotis! Would higly recommend Sveltos Hotel for its cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. If we are lucky enough to return to Cyprus, for sure, Sveltos will be our only choice. We love you all!
Went to Larnaca with students on a working/cultural trip and this was our hotel. Welcome drink on arrival, rooms clean, tidy. & comfy beds. Staff were very accommodating and available 24/7. Food was lovely too. Only downside for me was the €20ish taxi round trip into Larnaka if you are wanting to eat elsewhere and visit town/alternative beach/marina/shops in the evening which we did on a few ocassions. Try out the beach in Larnaka. Great beach bar. The people in Cyprus are very friendly and helpful. However, From the main road, 2 minutes from the hotel, the bus takes you into Larnaka for €1.25. Check the hotel notice board for bus numbers. Visit Jumbo store also. It's like a huge bargain store and definately go on the guided tour outside the tourist information office @ 10am on a Wednesday. Great tour around town and great guides who are very knowledgable. Not my usual thing while away but definately worth it. You find out some really interesting things about the locals and how they had to relocate from the north after the Turkish invasion. Went to Nicosia also and crossed the line. Amazing. You'll need your passport with you and when you cross over keep to the main streets. Some good "branded" goods to be had if you want to get some "designer" gifts. Beach about 5 minutes walk from hotel but watch crossing the road. Try also to get a poolside room. I like total piece and quiet and the roadside, although still quiet through night, got a bit noisier about 7 am. The hotel was quiet at the time so the same could be said when full of the poolside rooms later in the season. Hope this review helps when making your choice.
