Napa Mermaid Hotel & Suites

My daughter and I stayed at the Napa Mermaid suites for 4 days in September. We booked with Thomson Holidays and upgraded directly with the hotel reception to a private bungalow. (worked out cheaper) From check in to check out our time at Napa Mermaid ran smoothly. Everyone in the hotel is extremely friendly and can’t do enough to help the guests. The pool was warm and clean. The bar was never crowded and often made an extra drink for us “to try” The choice in the flavours restaurant was varied, healthy and very tasty each evening. You do however have to pay for your drinks at dinner even on half board (not a problem but thought I’d mention it as sometimes wine, beer and soft drinks are included with this board) If you opt to change from dinner to lunch any days during your stay you will be offered the À la cart menu with a really good choice of lunch. Room 18 was lush - over looking the pool and near the bars and restaurant. Beach towels are replaced every evening beds turned down with a small chocolate. Fully stocked mini bar and complimentary wine and fruit. The only thing the room is missing is a full length mirror. And maybe a charger by the bed as most of us now use our phones as alarms. The ladies in the spa and hair salon are really professional, as a Elemis therapist myself I would treat yourself to one of these treatments during your stay. There is also a gym which I didn’t use, but it looked good. Also an indoor pool again there was no need for us to use this as the weather and outdoor pool so nice. Taxis wait outside the hotel if you want to venture further, the hotel also offers bikes. A small walk will take you to the beach, bars and restaurants. We will definitely be returning again soon and bringing friends. Thanks to all the staff for a really lovely stay.

This is listed as a 4 star hotel and sits comfortably in this class and therefore is priced accordingly. We spent a 6 night break here and splashed out on a suite. Compared to the standard rooms, the suites appear to be at least twice the size - featuring an inside sitting area and a large full sea view balcony with mood lighting! We were on a bed and breakfast basis. The buffet breakfasts were very good, and although the food on offer was pretty much the same everyday, there was a large range to choose from. What was on offer was presented /cooked well and was continually replenished, throughout the breakfast service time. We had a Caesar chicken salad lunch on one of the days which again was very good. There was a set menus price in the evenings of 32 euro per person, which was reduced to 25 if you booked at least 3 meals, however we chose to go out and sample the delights of the town instead. Drinks and snacks are available around the pool which can be ordered from the waiters who regularly patrol the sun deck areas. In the evening there are various entertainers performing in the bar who range in talent... The hotel is at the quieter eastern edge of the town, a 20 minute walk (8 euro taxi/1.5 euro bus ride) from the harbour and main tourist/party areas where you can dance in soap bubbles ‘til dawn, drink your weight in ‘shots’ and be catapulted into the sky with a gut full of fast food at the fun fair – if that’s your idea of a night out. It’s not ours so we tried and succeeded in finding some nice restaurants which are hidden away but worth looking for.

Very pleased with this hotel, people we kook stayed here in May & told us it was a good hotel so we booked it & haven't been disappointed, from check in to departure all the staff have been great, nice room kept clean, the whole hotel kept very clean, only ate breakfast but that was ok,not the best I've had but a long way from being the worst, good pool & surrounding area with good beds, the only downside was that on arrival we asked about a late checkout &was told to ask again on the morning of departure, checkout was noon but was able to keep our room till 16.00 for €45. All the other hotels I've stayed at I've never been charged. Its about 10/15 min walk to town centre.

We loved our four night stay at this modern and clean hotel conveniently located in Agia Napa. Front desk staff very friendly, spoke good English. We had a two bedroom suite. Decor in all parts of hotel very contemporary and beautiful. Great gym and indoor pool area. Great bar area with great cocktails. We did the buffet dinner one night which wasn't our favourite part but we don't routinely do buffet dinners and we should have just walked into town that night. Breakfasts great!!! We felt very well looked after and would happily come back.

I will admit to being some apprehensive staying at the Hotel with 2 young Children of 4 & 2 having read previous reviews where it was apparent the Hotel Was generally not a Family orientated Hotel... However, despite being apprehensive about young children staying in a Hotel where the Cliental were mainly Honeymooners, Couples and Guests wanting peace and quiet, The Staff from Reception to Housekeeping and Pool Bar and some Guests were very receptive and welcoming throughout our stay. The Rooms were cleaned to a high standard and towels changed daily, we had a Sea View Junior Suite which was very spacious. As we only opted for B&B, Breakfast variety and standards were excellent as one would expect from a Hotel of this calibre and rating. My only observation and suggestion would be see more Families with Children at the Hotel and not made to feel like a Family shouldn't be staying at the hotel which was the impression I got from some Guests.

Stayed here for a week in late August beginning of september. Was upgraded to a bungalow on arrival and was very pleased with this. The bungalow was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. Nice staff at the front desk! The pool area was very relaxing. Good sunbeds, great atmosphere and very nice waiters. In fact, the pool area was so good that we did not go to the beach for a single day. Only ate lunch at the hotel. The food was decent, but actually expected more. But by all means, a nice place to eat with a good selection of dishes. In summary we had a fantastic week at this great hotel and we would definitely return.

Stayed at Napa mermaid with my family , amazing hotel we were upgraded to a suite upon arrival. Suite was very well suited to 4 adults celebrating my parents anniversary. Complimentary Prosecco was in the room which was a nice treat. Breakfast had a large variety and everything was always hot , the hot chocolates were specifically nice. I would also recommend food from the pool lunch bar as we enjoyed everything we ordered. Staff members were always kind , we had a late flight so had to change in the spa which we were not looking forward to but the spa was large and spacious towels were given. Only downsides to the hotel were the guests reserving the 'comfortable' sunbeds at ridiculous hours in the morning then not arriving to the pool area until 2pm as the hotel are strict with inflatables in the pool they should also crack down on this.

The head staff had strange attitudes towards us at the hotel, not accommodating and we were guests on their terms. The head waiter treated us suspiciously at the dinner and called on us and wanted room numbers even though we already reported this a few minutes before. The chef and the headwaiter sat down at a specially reserved table while we were dining for while other staff were working. Very strange behavior. There were many prohibitions, no beach toys in the pool. No water bottles at the pool, you did not get to work without a t-shirt in the gym, despite the fact that people next door swam in the relaxation pool. At the front desk we asked for tickets to the water park, they did not take a creditcards, only cash, we declined and the receptionist said "then you will queue in the sun" In a very childish manor. Expected more for that price and overall the head staff were not accommodating or friendly and welcoming. The beds were not double beds, we got to sleep on two single beds which feelt very sub standard. When the rooms were cleaned, it smelled chlorine for several hours. All in all we expected a much more cozy and friendly enviroment for this price! I would not come back to this hotell and I think there are much better ones closer to town.

We had lovely stay with my wife on this hotel remotely located from the noisy part of the city but in walking distance. Calm nas relaxing hotel ( no kids). Breakfast was good as expected from a 4 star hotel Pool area was comfortable and well organized Staff were nice Very nice Beach just across the road. One negative issue is the wifi and this we needed badly to keep in touch with our kids (back home), there was only some spots working well. In room 110 , there was no connection although we asked to fix it. In breakfast area (inside), no wifi at all. So a big advice to the management, fix this wifi issue (we are in 21 st century !!) On the beach, there was wifi and it was better than the hotel

We had an amazing time at the Napa Mermaid and will definitely be returning at some point. We found everything we were looking for on this holiday: somewhere that was quiet to relax, with great food and welcoming and friendly staff. The pool area was so peaceful and we spent a lot of time there. We also made use of the excellent spa and gym. The restaurant was fantastic, with a huge selection at breakfast and a different theme every evening for dinner which was included in our half board package. There was also the option to enjoy the à la cart menu, which we did on a couple of occasions, and the quality of food was amazing. The staff were really friendly, and we really enjoyed chatting with them throughout our stay. We arrived very late in the evening on our first night, and because we have missed dinner they are very thoughtfully prepared some sandwiches for us which they left in our room upon arrival. The only negative thing we experienced was that on our first night, a number of people had obviously decided to meet in one room which was adjacent to ours and carry on their party on the balcony. This made for quite a noisy first night. This was compounded by the fact that our room was directly next to the elevators, which meant quite a lot of noise every time people used the elevators. However, we explain the situation at reception the next day and they were very prompt and willing to move us to another room - after which we have no problem at all. Overall we had an amazing time and will definitely returning.
