We had 2 rooms here a family room which was lovely and a pool bungalow that was okay. The rest of the hotel was no where near as lovely as the pictures made out. It also seems that the hotel is trying to make out it is something it is now by restricting inflatables around the pool. There were a large number of families there, but it seemed like they didn't want it to look that way - a shame really as we won't be back based on that. The breakfast was good. Other food was okay. I give it a 4 but in reality it was probably a 3.5!
Had an out of season weekend break here and it was brilliant. The staff are friendly, the food is great, the spa is tranquil and the room and decor was stunning. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend.
The hotel is clean , Quiet, Fabulous and modern. The reception staff are the best . The restaurant staff and house keeping are cheerful, helpful and happy to serve.. brakfast is very nice and lots of choices. The beach is a croos the street. My room was a view of the pool and the beach with a nice balcony. A very special thank to Joanna who went out of her way to meet any request. She is nice , cheerful, hospitable and over all very happy to serve. the city center is a nice 25 minutes walk along the beach. there are caffees and restaurant close by.
My husband and I stayed here from 29th December to 3rd January and had a really wonderful time. The highlights were the large and very comfortable bed in the junior suite along with the huge walk in shower, double sinks, fluffy robes and gorgeous view from the balcony. The staff were very pleasant and our favourite barman Andreas deserves special recognition as he was so fun, friendly and generous! The pool area was gorgeous and peaceful, the weather wasn’t always suitable to sit outside in so we headed down to the spa and indoor pool on a couple of occasions. The only downside to this was some families with children playing in the spa pool, they were very loud screaming and splashing a lot which wasn’t very relaxing after our spa treatments! There are rules about the noise and disruptive behaviour but these weren’t being enforced, so we had to head up to our room. This wasn’t a huge deal though. The only other issue was the New Year’s Eve buffet meal, this was pretty expensive so we expected something quite special. The food was really great but the overall ambiance and queues made it feel very ordinary and just a normal hotel buffet which would have been much cheaper. I was also surprised there were not any drinks included, these were all extra. The breakfast was good and plentiful, plus the food in the bar was delicious! Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again if back in the area.
We booked in for a week's break in September which we found was the perfect month to go - lovely weather with gentle breezes. The hotel was perfectly situated, about half a mile outside Agia Napa and this was sufficient to ensure a peaceful hotel stay. The hotel is a very good 4 Star hotel with spacious public areas and high ceilings and is very well appointed. The reception staff, supported by Maria are friendly, efficient and very helpful and we were warmly welcomed, The bedroom we had was well furnished and had good views to the sea and the bed was super. The dining room had a dining theme each night which showed off all the skills of the chefs - these evenings were very enjoyable and we ate like kings!. Breakfast was also very enjoyable with the widest possible array of food sufficient to satisfy any nationality. Christos the Manager is one of a select range of managers who excel at managing good hotels and yet he has a perfect hands-off approach because he has set high standards and ensures his staff attain them. The whole operation flows from start to finish. The only quibble, and it really didn't cause us a problem, was that the teutonic guests reserved their pool-side loungers hours before they should have done. A difficult to enforce reservation time was in place but this appeared to be very flexible. Mrs Merkle will have to speak to them!
My husband and I stayed here for a few nights in June as we were attending a wedding in Protaras and this was also a mini moon after our own wedding in Cyprus in April. On arrival we were upgraded to the bungalows which was a lovely surprise. The rooms are excellent and the whole hotel is great. We were staying on a bed and breakfast basis and their was ample of choice , even for late risers like ourselves. Never a shortage of sunbeds around the pool. The hotel bar was reasonably priced and did great cocktails. The location was perfect for us, just a short walk into the lively town or a cab ride into the local villages for amazing Meze. The reception staff were very informative and have great recommendations for restaurants. This is a quiet hotel which was perfect for us on this occasion. It’s more for couples seeking a chilled getaway than large groups of people or families. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
My husband gave me a massage and facial at this spa as a gift. I'd never visited this spa before and I was so impressed by the friendliness of the staff and how PERFECT the whole experience was! the massage was very relaxing and the therapist took special care where I have a sports injury. the facial was done with lots of care and had multiple stages involving cooling and warming elements. after the treatment I was sent to sit in a quiet area and offered a detox drink as well as water. the therapist didn't rush me to leave and asked if she could bring me anything else even though technically my time was up. :) I will definitely visit this spa again. there is a hair salon as well and there was a girl having her hair styled and it looked GREAT! I think when people do a good job and customer service is excellent it should be acknowledged. I 100% recommend this spa and will be giving my friends treatments here for their Christmas gifts!
We stayed in one of the pool side bungalows. I think they are a bit of a gimmick as you have no access from the front to the pool. You have to walk around from the back of the bungalows. Also you do feel that your in full view of people seated around the pool. The bathroom has a huge window that looks into the rest of the room whilst your in the bathroom! You can actually see people outside from inside your bathroom... Which is unusual to say the least. You do have the option of a blind which can be pulled down to obscure the view. But overall the Napa Mermaid is a lovely hotel, very clean, helpful staff, modern design. Ideally located for all Ayia Napa has to offer.
We have stayed at this lovely hotel many times and we always had a very nice and relaxing summer vacation. Choosing either the junior suit or the bungalow can only add to the experience. Hotel staff is really nice and always willing to help. This hotel has all the usual facilities but what i really like is the new design of the indoor swimming pool and the bar restaurant facing the sea. I would definitely recommend this HOTEL. Every time i choose to go to Ayia Napa i choose Napa Mermaid.
I have been here once on a business trip and once for business and pleasure. Both times very impressive. Especially the styling of the reception/ lounge very well done. The restaurant buffet evening dinner was exceptional and Evert evening( I can say that as I’m a frequent traveler ) Bar/ lounge with most of the time live music was great. Last but not least the staff, represented by Christos Luca, is very remarkable. Personal attention and frequent questions asked about our stay, is hotel management at its highest level. This is a high performing class hotel with a very good price/ quality balance. Eibergen, The Netherlands Jos
