The reason for the short stay is due to no return flight available so the airline had to accommodate us. They chose this Hotel for us and I must say that even though I was only there for 2 overnight stays, the reception staff were absolutely magnificent. They put us at our ease and looked after us wonderfully. The meals they provided to us were top quality. Their waiter and waitress staff were so polite and kind to us as they were aware of our predicament. The accommodation provided was superb and if I ever return to Puerto Del Carmen, this is the place I would stay.

Have visited this hotel many times over the past years , is still a nice hotel but now badly needs an update as nothing much has changed over the past number of years decor is getting dated. On a positive side the food is still very good. The Wi Fi is very patchy throughout the hotel , it should be possible to upgrade the system to operate all over the hotel.

The food has been excellent amazing choice at every meal time. We have never eaten so well. Lovely staff. The hotel is in a beautiful area right on the beach and a short work to a lovely sandy stretch. A short walk in the opposite direction and you reach the bars and restaurants.

Just returned from this hotel, check in quick and the receptionist very friendly, had our luggage taken to our room for us. The room was clean and was kept so throughout our stay. As we were all inclusive we had a safe, (28€)fridge (28€) and tea and coffee making facilities(28€) included in the price and 1 litre of water supplied free everyday. The food was good and a varied choice was offered at all mealtimes. The staff without exception, were friendly and good at their jobs and are a credit to the hotel. As mentioned the hotel needs some attention, but when it is open all year round you wonder how the refurbishment could take place without any disruption to guests. We were told by a bar owner that san antonio hotel would close for total refurbishment when The Faronies re opens next year.

we go here quite a lot but this time the food disappointing trays empty quite a lot some food cold and not as good as when we have been before that's my only complaint but we have booked again will update again

My husband and I went to stay in this hotel for 9 nights to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is a traditional Spanish hotel that as other reviewers have stated needs a facelift at this stage but if you can get past that it’s seafront location and short walk on the beach to the bigger Los Pocillos beach makes up for any short comings. We had a front sea view room on the second floor beautiful view out to sea and the sound of the waves crashing to the rocks at night to lull you to sleep if the balcony door was open. There is both a bus stop and taxi rank across the street from the hotel if you want to go to the old town or the “strip” and don’t feel like walking though the walk is on the flat along the promenade and very nice. The food is good and a good choice for dinner less so for lunch and you can swap lunch for dinner if you are on a half board basis which we did a few times as there are a lot of very good restaurants to try. There is entertainment at night but we went out most evenings as there are some very good music venues and bars in the resort and we are inclined to get “cabin fever” but if you don’t want to venture outside the hotel there is dancing and entertainment at night. There are two pools one at ground level the other on an upper level with a view out to sea and over to Arecife which was my preferred place to go as it was quieter than the lower pool. We thoroughly enjoyed the break.

Just returned from 11 nights stay and although the reports of shabby areas are justified this didn't detract from our thoroughly enjoyable stay. Room 2618 overlooked the tennis courts. We were not overlooked and the room was spacious and clean. Meals are good quality with a themed cooking choice most nights, Chinese, Italian, Spanish etc. However the meals were predictable and after a few nights we knew what to expect. This may be because we were AI and lunch was similar to dinner. At the pool bar there is a good menu cooked on demand. The pool areas are good with plenty of sunbeds. I did manage to get wifi in the bedroom as well as reception. The staff are really lovely and very helpful. Although on the beach, access to the sea is poor because of the rocks and a walk of about 250 yards to public sunbeds (12 euros) is necessary. Entertainment every night is good to not so good. Bus stop outside the hotel is useful but because we enjoy the beach would stay in Playa Blanca next time. (Note to Thomson clients: No Rep in hotel and I tried 3 times to contact a Rep to book a trip no one ever got back to me) Hotel reception will book trips for you and provide a packup lunch for AI guests.

Could the manager please explain why you cannot have a bottle or can of coke/tonic etc to add to your spirit unless you are a cash paying guest.I do not think coke and tonic water comes under premium drinks. The stuff out of the pumps do not taste same.

Stayed for 14 nights on half boardGreat hotel Very friendly staff always have smile nothing a problem the restaurant very good choice of food both meals breakfast and evening meal can't comment on lunch meals as on half board never disappointed with the food.thehotel was located on to the beach I was disappointed with other guests reserved sun beds at the pool every morning around the pool area posters warning not to reserve sun beds it causes few problems . the hotel is a good location near local bars and restaurants also Spar supermarket nearby the Room in the hotel ok but dated notice hotel could do with revamp as bit dated few other guests have comment about the hotel dated but I definitely return some time again

This was our third stay in about 4 years . Really good location. Room was lovely. Clean and comfortable. Good air con. The staff, from reception to dinning room and cleaning staff are really friendly and polite. Good pools and easy access to the beach and sea. The hotel was really busy but still everything went ok. Food great , entertainment good. We will be back ! Cheers Steve & Elaine B.
