This is a seriously good hotel. We had an apartment with sea view and it was worth the extra cost. Also get partial board as it is excellent value. Pleasant and friendly staff in all areas with special mention of Josef in the Bar who makes the best cocktails on the planet! Apartment cleaned daily by efficient housekeepers. Food good and varied.Perfect location on sea front and 5 eoro taxi drive from Old Town and Harbour. Well worth a visit.

Everthing for all age groups, we returned this year as we had such a great time last year and were not disappointed, we are a party of 8, me the Granddad, my family 4 adults, 3 children aged between 2 and 5 we could not ask for more, the hotel was very busy and found it difficult to be seated together in the restaurant, I mentioned this to the front desk in the hope they may be able to help, Wow!! they were so helpful, the restaurant manager came to see me, and was sorted immediately, nothing was too much trouble, a credit to the company. They arranged rooms close to each other, very clean with everything we needed, vast array of food everyday to suit everybody, a choice of pools with ample sun loungers, we went all inclusive with international drinks, a bonus! entertainment every evening to suit all age groups. The hotel is well situated, on the beach and 5 minute walk to shops e.t.c. if you want to stretch your legs. I highly recommend this hotel, we look forward to returning next year.

We had read a number of reviews and while most were generally good there were some negative comments. We thought it would be a good hotel and as we were not paying huge money we were happy to give it a try. It was better than expected. Room was spacious and well presented, reception was great, poolside excellent, and the food fantastic. I have to give this hotel 5 star rating as in the price range it is exceptional. We could have paid double and got better in a genuine 5 star but considering how much we paid it surpassed our expectations. We would highly recommend this hotel to couples or families. It caters for all.

Just returned from an All Inclusive week. All the staff were more than friendly and couldn't do enough for you. (was one unhappy reception lady once, but she was okay the rest of the time). Wine is not the best but is drinkable and Cider was not included. Restaurant had enough room for everyone and was always something you would like on the menu. Themed nights including Indian, Chinese as Italian to name a few. Was always a carvery, pork, beef, lamb etc. .However for me, a week was long enough with buffet food. The evening entertainment was not my cup of tea but others seem to like it. Was a kids disco at 8, then in house duo and at 10 for an hour an act and back to the in house due 11 to 12. We took our kindles with us, but it does help if you set as near as you can to see the act. While the decor is a little tired and could do with a revamp, and the wifi was shocking. Only the reception area was the best place and then it was slow. Rooms are clean and tidy, and the maid kept checking everything was okay. Hairdryer in the bathroom was not the best. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sun beds and the bar has great food. You are at the beginning of the strip with loads of shops, bars and restaurants. If you carry on to the end of the road, pass Mango and go up a hill there is a small shopping centre.

the hotel has a great location, it is situated 5 min to Los Pocillos beach and has 3 nice pools and great pool area. It is very close to the main Avenue of Puerto del Carmen. The kind staff, all amenities and the great variety of food served in the restaurant and the vicinity to two supermarkets made our stay very comfortable.

Just returned from a week here with 10 people including two 2 year olds and a 77 year old. It's a nice hotel and we had a lovely time. The kids pool for the little ones is especially good as it's separate from the main area and the pool is heated. It was a bit of a nuisance that there were steps from the hotel to the pool area but we just carried the pushchair up and down about 12 steps each day. The staff were generally very helpful, particularly in the restaurant despite seeming a bit short handed, although reception could use some work. With 10 of us the restaurant staff asked us to reserve a table in advance which reception then told us we could not do unless we ate at 6. After a few days though the restaurant staff made sure there was a bigger table available every night. This hotel requires men to wear long trousers for dinner and this little touch seems to add a very civilised atmosphere. The food was perfectly OK with a good salad selection as well as hot food and desserts, but rather repetitive. There wasn't much for children (food was often in sauce which was too rich for the little ones). Plain pasta in tomato sauce was a bonus when they had it, even the occasional pizza slices were covered in meat. The kids club was just getting going for the season and Laura did a lovely job, but she had her hands full with a variety of different ages and hopefully they will have more staff for when it gets busier. The mini disco was popular with the children, but the mix of ages meant that the children's games were a little strained and there was no alternative bar for adults who were not interested in that or the entertainment afterwards. The hotel is on the beach, but it's a bit rocky. If you want to go in the sea you are better heading along the front a little to the main beach. It's a 5 minute stroll and no trouble. We were lucky to have a suite for 4 of us which gave us a great amount of space for our 5 and 2 year old as well as both a shower and a bath. The decor was dated including dark wood, heavy yellow and green florals and a dark blue carpet that had seen better days, but it really is only a cosmetic issue and some of the rooms have been updated. We had a lovely view of the sea as did a lot of rooms. I love Los Pocillos as it is so close to the airport that the transfer is only about 15 minutes, the beach is lovely and clean and wide with a sea that is very accessible whether you want to swim or paddle. The resort is fairly low key and ideal for young families and older people.

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint what a fabulous week we've had. The food is amazing nothing compared to some of the others I have ever stayed in! Themed nights including Indian, Chinese as Italian to name a few. It's all fresh hot and can be cooked as you wait. The evening entertainment is good and varied for different ages. The staff overall very helpful and friendly, particularly on reception and in the restaurant. I have a serious sesame seed allergy and Pedro escorted me round every meal time to point out anything that had it in, what a hero! Janny who does the day activities is great too. During the day there are plenty of sunbeds not many are reserved you can always find space. All 3 pools are very clean as is the whole hotel. Rooms are immaculate. The drinks are slightly dear so would recommend going all inclusive. The management left a bottle of champagne in our room to celebrate it being our honeymoon which was a lovely touch. Thanks for a great week, we will definitely be back!

Just returned from a lovely week at the San Antonio. While the decor is a little tired and could do with a revamp, the hotel facilities more than make up for it. Rooms are clean and tidy, the pool area is lovely with plenty of sun beds and the food is out of this world. The selection and quality of the buffets far exceeded my expectations - it was stunning. It's also just a short walk to bars and restaurants in the resort. I'd go back tomorrow if I could!

Lovely hotel with excellent facilities right on the beach . Paid £3500 for three of us, 2 kids plus 1 on the full all inclusive package. Here's our frustration which was experienced by dozens of fellow guests during our stay. If you are offering all inclusive why do you have this crazy, petty policy of excluding certain drinks or snacks or even ice creams ? This type of juice yes but this type no.. same with cakes and ice creams. What you get is total confusion among your guests and kids running backwards and forwards to their parents who are trying to relax on holiday . On check out we were presented with a petty bill for €8 for a fresh orange juice and honestly thought it was a set up just to see our reaction but no they arrogantly insisted we pay and as a result our planned August trip for 7 is now cancelled on a matter of principal. Shame as the kids loved this place !

This was our second visit here. I must say this hotel is fantastic, the staff just can't do enough for you every last one of them were so polite and professional. The food was brilliant they have theme nights i.e. Curry night, Chinese, etc but there are still lots of alternative food if you don't fancy the themed meals. The rooms are lovely and spotlessly cleaned every day. The hotel also had very decent entertainment in the evening and waited table service we got served mostly by Evelyn who was so quick and very well mannered after the fist day she remembered what we liked to drink, as I said a lovely lady. The hotel is located right on the beach plenty of swimming pools 3 if I remember rightly one of them for kids and one of them infinity. It is only a short walk to bars, shops and restaurants. We got a cab to the hotel as it is very not far and not expensive. I would highly recommend this hotel.
