What a great place to stay. Reception, restaurant, lifeguard and entertainment staff all provide an excellent service, nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant food was excellent and reasonably priced. Out of a 7day stay we only eat off site once. Happy hour was a bonus for 1hr and 30mins but you didn't have to have both beers at the same time, staff were more than happy for you to go and get the second one when you were ready. However this may not be the case in peak times. Again another enjoyable stay at a Diamond location. We will definitely return.
Last stayed here in 2009. What a difference! From the refurbished restaurant ( no longer just a pool bar) with their dynamic new menu, bit pricey , but quality shines through. USB ports in the living rooms( genius!!) and wi fi in Lanzarote that actually works well. Best nights sleep I've had in a long time. Great tv stations and reception.only downside, empty shower gel in shower on arrival. Well done Jeanette Hansen and team. Will definitely be returning again.
After arriving from Australia,my family told me we have booked a holiday for eight of us. At LJD. Lanzarote. We had a wonderful time. Loved the place ,we had a four bed four bathroom villa The restaurant was small with bar ,but great food, and the staff were wonderful ,It was one boys birthday, they even organised a cake and balloons .. lovely pool.area beautifully kept resort. Enjoyed it very much.
Really enjoyed our stay at jardines del sol last year - clean, spacious apartment, well furnished and kitchen very well equipped. The terrace outside with table/chairs and sun loungers was ideal for that extra bit of privacy. The only qualm was that we had to pay for wi-fi and think it should have been included, but not a major issue. Ideal if you want a quieter, private base for exploring Lanzarote :)
This resort is situated about 20 min walk down hill from town, mostly along the prom. Its about 3 Euros by taxi. We enjoyed the exercise. The resort is made up of about 20 semi detached bungalow style units. For self catering, the units are very well equipped with washing machine, fridge freezer, dishwasher ,plates, cups, glasses, kettle, toaster in fact if you need it its there. Water is in 3 litre dispensing bottles[3 euros] for drinking and can be delivered by staff. Reception staff very friendly although we were not escorted to our accommodation and it was difficult to find with the various paths and in the dark. There are 2 pools, one for children. a restaurant/bar run by a very friendly English couple, brilliant full English breakfast. They also do take away. The Gardens were very well laid out made out of volcanic ash.The mountain is behind the resort.. Overall the resort was great for a quiet relaxing holiday. If that's what you want I would recommend it and we will be going back when we need to chill. Weather was hot most of the time with a couple of cloudy days.
Just returned from JDS after an excellent week, we have been here before several times and it was good to see that the resort is keeping up its very high standards, the apartment was kept very clean and the gardens and pool areas are very well looked after. Staff are friendly and helpful and the Manager, Janette is always around making sure things are going as expected. We used the bar and restaurant, both of which were very good, again the staff are friendly and very helpful, special mention to Dave, Tahl and Emilio for making us very welcome. We had are grandsons with us, (17 and 8) both of whom really enjoyed the week, the swimming pools and pool table being the best attraction for them. The resort is about a 20 minute walk to the nearest beach and a couple of minutes ride by taxi to Playa Blanca centre (3 euro's in a taxi). We will definitely be returning here.
Stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed every minute. This is the most relaxing place you could wish for and just a €3:0 Euro taxi ride from the town center of Playa Blanca itself makes this an ideal location. We stayed in a two bedroom bungalow ( all accommodation is one level ) and couldn't fault it at all, two bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, two t.v.s, dvd player, patio, outside table and chairs. The restaurant is o.k. with themed nights the best of which for me was Fridays fish and chips night, the batter being one of the lightest you will get anywhere, a real treat. Happy hour is 4:0 pm until 5:0 pm with beer and local spirits on a 2 for 1 basis. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
Spent 7 days here and it's amazing. The food is awesome with plenty of choice, by far one of the best buffet style set ups we've been to. Mikes coffee shop is a beautiful place to chill in the shade with a coffee and slice of carrot cake too. Many of the people we spoke to are repeat visitors, some as many as 35 times and it's easy to see why. The staff are incredibly friendly. One of the few holidays I didn't want to come home from at the end. Don't hesitate, book it now !! Jody & Keeley - Sheffield
Stayed for 7 nights. Apartments are very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Reception staff are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant has an extensive menu and is excellent value for money. Andrew and his team are a credit to the resort. If you are not a Diamond member you can rent a towel for 4 euros a week wi fi is 7 95 for 24 hours free to members. Will definitely return.
Wanted a convenient (ie not too long a flight) guaranteed sunny, winter break. It was between Abu Dhabi and the Canary Islands and we were not disappointed with the Lanzarote choice. Firstly the island is amazing, the roads look like they have been laid out through fields of broken Oreo biscuits, quite unexpected scenery (did no prior research!!). Also we were a bit wary of Lanzarote's poor British reputation and we were pleasantly surprised to find that this seems to have changed a lot. This resort and part of the island were really family friendly. Secondly Les Jardines was a very relaxed place to stay. Maria and the team were super helpful and always on hand to help out or advise with regards to what to do at the resort or on the island. The accommodation is really well appointed. It gives you the flexibility to either stay in and cook your own meals or the option to go down to the restaurant area. The food is very British clientele focussed (this suited us as we live in Belgium ;-)), but if you want more traditional Canarian fare then you should probably head out into the town area. With regards things to do; we did the Jameos del Agua - (nice to see but quite limited), the Mirador del Rio (great view, but make sure it is not foggy) and the National park (get there early if you are in a hire car otherwise take a taxi). All in all a great place to stay, very friendly people and fab weather - would very much recommend!
