we have recently stayed at this hotel for a ten day break, the hotel in itself is very good the room 312 was a bit tired and the beds uncomfortable but I must say very clean, we were surprise to see no kettle or tea making facilities in the room but purchased a travel kettle in a local shop. The pools were spotless and reasonably warm with lots of sunbeds overlooking the sea and a small sandy beach, the staff were all great very friendly and helpful we cant really comment on the entertainment as we went out in the evenings ,the times we did use the bar we found the service good. The restaurant was spacious and the waiting staff very helpful and efficient unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired it was usually tepid at best the food lets the hotel down badly and after reading previous reviews saying the food was good I think they must of changed the whole kitchen staff the day we arrived. Lovey hotel shame about the food.

I stayed there in November, After spending a week at a all inclusive in Gran Canaria. At the hotel Grand Tequise the rooms are spacious and nice, however, the food was ok but the extra food that was available was terrible, You could only get hot drinks in plastic cups which was awful. Hardly any alcohol was included and it was either poor quality alcohol or watered down alcohol. The entertainment during the day was excellent. However, the food that was available between was not desirable

Loved our visit to this hotel at the beginning of December. Food was varied and plentiful. All inclusive option was worth the money too. Entertainment finished a bit early but as the weather was so good we were up early anyway. Room was a bit dated but cleaned every day. Would definitely return.

This hotel is right on the little cove off the main promenade so access to the beach easy. The grounds are spacious with garden and tennis courts. Virtually all the rooms are sea view. Staff friendly especially in the resteraunt where gluten free food is labelled. Rooms are split between upgraded with shower only and the older ones with a bath which I prefer. Entertainment suitable for a hotel with a lovely bar. Paid seventeen visit in the last 18 years including with grandchildren all without problems and at different times of the year.

My girlfriend and I went away for our first holiday and I have to say, it was mind blowing. From the moment you walk in you are overwhelmed by the sheer size of the building and since we went in December, they had a huge tree and other Christmas decorations up, absolutely stunning. The rooms are very nice, everything you need is there and the views from the balcony were beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and the food they served was top notch! We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a chilled getaway.

Room was comfortable and servicing good.It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities particularly as we could not have been much further from dining facilities. Varied and plentiful selection of hot and cold food breakfast and dinner. Sumptuous Christmas eve and new years eve dinners with free bubbly Would stay again.

Stayed Christmas and New Year. Food choice was good, particularly liked breakfast choice and prosecco each morning. Restaurant staff all very friendly. Christmas Eve and New Year in the restaurant were lovely. Evening entertainment varied, some good some not so good. We were on 2nd floor, room basic, but had lovely view. Disappointed with temperature of supposedly heated pool. It was still very cold. Only people in it were kids and parents who had to go in with young kids. Did ask Receptionist who more or less said it was my problem. Had no problems with quality of drinks or service apart from one waiter who we witnessed twice being rude to English guests and if you asked him a question he always said he didn't know. I know they work hard, but customer service should come first. (Goyo). Didn't have much to do with animation team. They always said hello, but did not try to get you involved if you didn't want to. Had to pay for safety deposit box, no kettle in room. Also had to pay for water in room.

Currently lying on one of the big loungers beside the bar! We absolutely love this hotel. Arrived late evening yesterday was originally allocated room 126 asked to be moved so we can see the pool (I like to come down bout 6am work on laptop) hubby can then see where I’m at! Moved to room 108, receptionist was so obliging and pleasant, thank you ..... dinner was gorgeous, turkey served from the Carvery as yesterday was their official Christmas Day, even had sprouts perfectly cooked along with a number of other various alternatives! Now I willingly admit I am very hard to please .....but I have come to just accept the dated rooms....they are meticulously clean, new white bed linen and flat screen TVs this year! Entertainment last nite bril, staff all v pleasant and cheerful as always. Few negative comments which this hotel does not deserve, they continue to make improvements on a yearly basis, location is excellent! Laura Diaz u shud be v proud of your staff and hotel. Always the highlight of our year! Here for a week and can’t wait to rebook for next time.

Traveled with jet holidays to this hotel, on the 14th December for two weeks. on arrival check in was very smooth we where given a room on the 4th floor, to the far right of the hotel the room was very nice, but the sun was long gone of the balcony around 3.30 when we arrived. We went back to reception and asked if we could change rooms to the left hand side of the hotel, this was done straight away we then had a room on the 5th floor 535 and very nice it was. Apart from there not being tea and coffee making facilities this was a good room. The maid was lovely and kept the room spotless. The bath room was a good size with a walk in shower that was reasonably powerful depending on the time you used it, however the sink tap was very slow you could turn it on have a shower and it would only be half full. The lounge area was very nice however in my opinion they could do with a bit less pond as you could smell the algae at times even on the 5th floor and it's December. The restaurant was a good size and the food was lovely plenty of choice. The staff where very attentive and remembered what we drank at meal times so if you got your table without asking for drinks we very often came back to the table to find our drinks waiting for us which was very nice. The Bar staff were brilliant Jose, Andreas, Noelia, Antonio & Sami did an absolutely fantastic job The entertainment was good some better than others Animations staff made the holiday the best I've had Chicco Borja & Ola. Worked so hard to include you in the activities which we did and got several diplomas, bingo every night winner gets a bottle of bubbly. Wednesday 12 noon paella & sangria made by head chef and head barman Jose really worth going along. Mojito on Friday made by Chicco was very good. Hotel is situated right in the center of costa Teguise with shops, cafe's, restaurant's & Bars all within walking distance. Just outside the main entrance there was a bus stop and over the crossing was a taxi rank. The airport was 15 to 20 mins by private taxi. Had a fantastic time will be returning end of march for Easter hopefully we'll get a room with full sun on the balcony on the fifth or sixth floor. See you soon Eva & Dian

I’m writing this review from the Hotel Grand Teguise Playa as I’ll not have the time when I return. I’m currently on day 5 of a week long holiday to Lanzarote. The Hotel is gigantic, leaving other nearby resorts in its shadow. I arrived on my birthday, disappointed that there was no champagne left in room - which has been the norm at many other hotels I’ve visited on my birthday...a small issue but highlights the Hotel misses it on small details as I’ll highlight. Pros: •Great pools (one heated and one very cold) - never an issue with finding a sun-bed. •Location is fab - close to the beach. •Rooms are always very clean - maids do a great, quick job! •Bar run well - both during the day and at night. •Food is good, although can be a tad bland/repetitive and fall into that ‘all inclusive’ cliche. •Balcony terrace is lovely - spacious and nice to sit outside at night. Cons: •Room very outdated - I can’t hide my irritation at paying over £1k for a room that was sold to me as 4* but is really 2/3*...As has been highlighted in other reviews, it feels like there is a two tier system: standard rooms and below standard rooms. I did request twice to be moved as I was unhappy with what we had been provided for how much I paid - felt like I was being told to put up or shut up - I could pay more to be upgraded to what I believe a standard room should be! •On arrival we had a rather dour receptionist check us in - it wasn’t the welcome we expected on New Year’s Day and didn’t provide a great first impression! •No kettle in the room - which I feel even 2/3* hotels offer - an example of the small detail the Hotel misses. Also highlighted by lots of other reviews! •One of the older bar staff was very rude throughout the holiday - he would bark at you for an order which put me off slightly. I understand people can have off days, but this was everyday! •Feel like ‘all inclusive’ is limited when it comes to drink choice: you can have house wine, beer and spirits or have what I would have expected the hotel to offer as standard (i.e cocktails, bombay saphire, smirnoff etc.) for an extra €8.50 PER DAY! •It’s 2018 - nowhere should be charging for wifi, let alone €25 a week - we decided against wifi as could not justify the price. Overall, our experience has been nice but it is not the 4* grand hotel that it makes out to be - some work on rooms, staff interaction, and all inclusive package could help better the hotel. I probably would return to the hotel but room is underwhelming and overall the hotel hasn’t really blown me away...
