Arrived & had a 25 min wait before the room was ready, no problem shown where the pool bar was & had lunch & a drink. We had e mailed ahead & asked for a ground floor room which we got, room was great, nice bathroom, TV & fridge, hairdryer in the bathroom was powerful. Yes if you want a sunbed in a certain place then yes you do need to get up early & put your towel on it, but there was always a stack of them at any time of the day by the children's playground if your happy to have one anywhere. Luckily by being on a ground floor room overlooking the pool I could pop out in my nightie. The staff were fantastic, they were all happy & couldn't do enough to help. We had a issue with our air con & once reported the maintenance man was there within 20 mins. The pool bar turns into a a la carte restaurant 3 night s a week, Tuesday was Mexican, Weds was Spanish & Friday was Italian, . We only managed the Mexican which was lovely, great food & service, we were unable to do the Italian as we left it to late to book. So make sure you book as much in advance as you can. Large water bottles are available to help yourself to at the reception desk. If you like a cuppa in the morning take a travel kettle as there isn't one in the room. The only negatives are that there is no hanging space in the wardrobe for long dresses & the bedroom could do with bin in it not just one in the bathroom. Entertainment was the usual things during the day, no pressure to take part, we saw the evening entertainment twice, both times were great, a Abba tribute band & a diva tribute lady that sang Shirley bassey, Tina turner, Whitney Houston as I say both were fabulous, they could do with a few more seats in the evening. Safe is digital & 2.10 euro a day. The hotel has its own pub attached to the hotel which is free to use called the Brandy well pub. There are steps out of the back of the hotel which bring you straight onto the promenade where there are shops & bars. Out the front of the hotel you are right in the centre with lots of shops & bars. We went on a trip to playa Blanca market which was disappointing as not that many stalls & prices were higher than in the resort. We also went on the music hall tavern which was a fantastic night a 3 course meal, 1st drink free & a great drag show, it was worth double what we paid it was so good. We will be back, I wouldn't change anything about the hotel.
We came home on the 7/9/2017 but we have been busy so we are writing are review now. When we got their the manager was good to us as and when we had a few problems which were not a big deal they sorted them out. All the staff were really friendly and make you welcome. They do their very best which is excellent. We had two sea view rooms which were fantastic, one was a superior room which was excellent but both were great. You had to get up early to put the towels out which is like other hotels. A lot of English people are real friendly and talk to you more. The food is excellent and the entertainment is best one yet as all the acts were great. Brandy Well is grand as you get great bar service and more entertainment till late a night. The hotel is in a great location as it is near the centre of the town and right near the beach. Costa Teguise is brilliant and we have been to this area before and it is still good and gives us new places to go still. We will still go back to this area again as it never ceases to amaze us. The TUI rep was no good as he was not enthusiastic and was not very helpful until more near the end of the holiday. The receptionists were more helpful. This hotel is one of the best we have been to ever and we would definitely go back in the future. Whoever says this hotel is a let down likes to moan about nothing. We had a few problems which were sorted by the hotel and they apologized for the little mistakes and this has not impacted on our review. The manager and reception is very very good and we will always remember them. Best of luck for the future. From the Strong family.
Family holiday Hotel overall very good however each day there was a fight for sun beds and umbrellas as there are no facilities for either on the beach . The hotel needs to monitor more fairly the people that put towels out at 6 in the morning but don't utilise them while after lunch Apart from this massive gripe, the hotel overall as very good all round with friendly staff
Had a fantastic 7 nights here, had room 4208 had great sea view. The food is fantastic and the all inclusive drinks are great. All the staff were fantastic very friendly and very helpful. Would highly reccommend to anyone thinking if booking here. My only negative and is a small one is the pool is freezing but not a bad thing on a really warm day. All round great hotel will be back again.
The Be Live Experience is an excellent hotel, we couldn't fault it. There is a very good range of food every evening, the Italian night which we booked on arrival was lovely and at a high quality. The all inclusive drinks on offer did not disappoint, the staff were always friendly and willing to provide table service on an evening. Our superior room was spotless upon arrival and was cleaned daily to a high standard. The only minor downside of the week was having to be up at 6am to reserve a sun bed but I think this is similar in many hotels. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.
A young couple travelling with Thompson 4th - 11th September. Paid €730 EACH, a complete rip off but it was the cheapest AL in Lanzarote. Staff were very friendly and hard working. Cannot fault them in any way. Hotel was nice, good sized pool and plenty of sun loungers. Always managed to get two beside the pool after half 9. The Brandy Well pub is the best addition to the hotel, great selection of AL drinks. Adults Club - do not bother. We didn't book it but its an absolute waste of money anyway. Room was nice, good sized and had a great balcony with a view of the stage. What I didn't expect to see was used condoms under the bed, behind the bed stand and in the bathroom. Disgusting. Also the room was covered in ants, which I expect in heat but I've never seem them crawling over my room in any other hotel. Bed linen was not changed once in the entire week. On arrival a light bulb needed changed in the main hall area of our room, we asked to have a new one put in at reception THREE TIMES, each request was ignored. Food - Breakfast was good, I loved the pancakes, when I could get them. Food is extremely basic in this hotel and there isn't enough of it. It was cold most of the time and the evening meals were particularly disappointing. We ate out every night. We are not fussy eaters and found the pool snack bar good but no way did we plan to survive on burgers and chips all week. Location is PERFECT. You are right in the center of everything, with a private gate to the beach. Costa Teguise is beautiful, it is a quiet resort and very chilled. Some great restaurants and bars. This is my 7th visit to Lanzarote but my first to this resort. We normally visit the Sandos Papagayo in Playa Blanca, which is the best AL on the island in my opinion. We are just sorry we didn't return there instead. We feel like we wasted our money considering we ate out for most of the week. The reviews I had read prior to going raised my expectations but the hotel just faulted on a number of key areas.
After reading other people's reviews I wanted to write a review as I felt some of the other reviews didn't give much truth This hotel is made by the fantastic staff that all work very hard - Hotel - upon arrival we were impressed with the look of the hotel and the decor. The reception area is very modern and of a high standard and cleanliness. After checking in at 14:30 we were offered food straight away and there was plenty of variety left for us to eat even at this time. - Water - 1.5 litre bottles of water are provided free of charge, these are on the reception desk - SUNBEDS- please ignore any reviews that say sun beds are sparse and have to be reserved early - we listened to these reviews therefore we didn't look properly and the first day missed that there was a pile of 60+ sun beds on the left hand side by the children's play area. Any reviews that state you cannot get a sun bed is merely untrue what them reviewers mean to say is that them people are too lazy to lift the sun beds down themselves. We arrived at the pool at midday on most days and the pile of sun beds did not once run low. On our first day we wondered were all the pegs had come from that people had their towels clipped onto sun beds with, they sell them in the shops just outside the hotel for 2 euros and are well worth the money, I would advise to buy these as soon as you get there as it can be really breezy - Food -there is plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner ( this includes chicken, veal, steak, fish and a roast dinner on a Sunday with gravy) Everyday there was 3 areas containing hot food, one area for solely bread and soup, a table laid out with cheese, and also 3 large fridges containing cold food in total this amounted to 8 different areas - the snack bar did indeed do burgers, hot dogs and toasties however it had other food throughout the day and was pretty much constant after breakfast and throughout the day - also in the snack bar was a freezer containing unlimited ice cream for you to take and then a selection of biscuits, bread, doughnuts and cakes. - Theme nights - we attended all three Italian, Mexican and Spanish. Book these as soon as you get to the hotel as they become fully booked. The menu on these nights was a choice of two main courses with a preset starter however the food was top quality - Safe -this was 21 euros for ten days however it was digital and you create your own pin yourself so no carrying keys about with you - Drinks and bars - there is not a chance you will go thirsty at this hotel. Drinks consisted of a indoor and out door pool bar as well as a help yourself area, the restaurant also had a help yourself area however the staff will also come over to you and take a drinks order, on more than one occasion we were sat in the pool bar and asked if we wanted another drink, also I must add that the staff in the restaurant will also find you a table when you first go in so after you walk down the stairs if you wait a few minutes they will lead you to your table. Ivan in the restaurant was great he had the staff well organised and was so friendly and helpful. This hotel also has a pub attached that you can use the all inclusive bands in, this pub is ace, after reading reviews I thought this would be a make shift pop up bar it's not though it's a lovely pub that looks like what I can only describe as yates, it was booming in this pub come 8-9 at night and again table service if you give the staff a chance to get to you. - Entertainment - the entertainment staff work so hard as others have said the boom boom boom song is a catchy tune. I was surprised that the acts were actually quite good some cheesy but that's what holidays are about. The program is on a two week rotation so you will never see the same act twice. There is daily activities that are literally by the hour which include; water polo, volleyball, darts, mini golf, table tennis, killer pool and aqua gym as well as a kids club and lessons for making cocktails and cooking. The entertainment was not only on every night in the outside area it was in the brandy well pub too this included acts and also karaoke - Cleanliness - we wasn't given the best room and had some issues at the beginning of the holiday which meant we had to change rooms. My advice would be that if you have a issue with your room address it straight away as it took the hotel a day or two to move us. There is a few tame birds that frequent the pool bar however they are harmless and cannot be helped. - Locality - couldn't be better, this hotel is literally next to the beach there is even a gate you can use to step straight onto the beach and back to the hotel - Pool - extremely clean and slopes to about 1.5 meters at the deepest and is ice cold ( this is a good thing once you initially get in) - Checkout - put you name down as soon as you can if you want a late checkout 33 euros to keep your room up until 18:00 on the day of checkout. You won't be told until the day before if it's possible to keep your room but the sooner you put your name down the better as the hotel gets really full. All in all had it had not been for the issue with the room this would have been a five star rating for us.
We were really looking forward to this given the great reviews. Few negative reviews around dinner and 'school canteen' style however we always intended to eat out every night and only wanted the all inclusive for breakfast, lunch and drinks. Hence we went for a lower cost all inclusive as we weren't interested in the dinner. Shame that there was only one food station per food type as everyone queuing for salad or queuing for eggs and bacon etc like a canteen. Just not big enough for the amount of guests. I think you get what you pay for with this hotel. It was clean, staff polite and provided what we needed but very basic. It was the lowest cost all inclusive in Lanzarote. As I said, you get what you pay for. Room was clean and basic, bit small but amazing sea view which is worth paying for. Maid service was fine, changed towels when needed. Hairdryer in room is fantastic no need to take your own. You also get a small fridge in the room to put water etc in or whatever you want. Safe was around 15 euros a week. Sunbeds- all the reviews are right we had to set an alarm for 7am and even then they were mostly taken. Pool toilets cleaned regularly, no complaints. Self service for water, beer, wine teas and coffees. Food: was okay, I can't say much more than that. Breakfast all you would expect however we went a couple of times at 9am and nearly everything was gone. The restaurant is below ground, very busy and lots of tables crammed in, I would recommend getting in there as soon as it opens. Once we managed to find 1 table left (set for 4, we are a couple) just started to eat and were rudely told to move as he needed the table and we couldn't sit there. We had to take our already cold breakfast move to a smaller table which he had to clean as someone just left and finally got to eat. Although I left mine as it was then cold. Lunch: get in as soon as it opens otherwise it's gone. Lunch by the pool same every day, burgers, chips, hotdogs. I didn't eat it but my husband said it was okay. Location is amazing as right in the centre. local Restaurants in the square are really good. There are a few really good quality ones. Pablos, El Patio, La Hacienda Mexican and Italian Cesare. There are lots of other cheaper restaurants around but these were really good value. Fillet steak for around 15 euros. Hook cocktail bar was amazing. Also in the square. We were a bit annoyed as asked for late check out (30 euros) when we arrived, we weren't able to book at the start of the holiday otherwise we would have. they said there were full and we couldn't book it. Shame. Check out was 12 which is okay but then got a room to shower in later on which we had to book a slot only given 15 mins per person which isn't really long enough. Not the hotels fault I guess but thought worth mentioning. They said they could only offer about 3 people late check out. All in all we had a great holiday as went out in the evenings but definitely won't return to this hotel or any be live as I understand they are a chain. You will probably need a jacket as the evenings getting a bit chilly and pegs for your towel on the sun lounger, all the shops sell the pegs for 2 euros for 4 so no need to get any before you go.
This was a weeks holiday at the end of August 2017, hotel is clean and staff very polite. The room was small with no standard coffee/tea making facilities as you would expect at most hotels. Very standard room with two single beds, one wardrobe balcony with table and two chairs. Restaurant is very very small, all the tables are literally squeezed into a very small area, so everyone is cramped. Food is edible. Buffet restaurant by the pool, food was edible, same everyday. Pool was small with sunbeds cramped around the pool with limited space. As usual beds reserved by selfish people who do not eventually use them as they have gone for the day. This was a couples holiday for us, this hotel is mainly aimed at families with children, I would rate hotel 3 star at best, no way near 4 star. Pictures on website are old, furnishings in lobby have drastically changed. If you want to upgrade your room to get coffee machine/kitchen, double bed then its a lot of euro's per person per night. We ate once in the restaurant, then ate out everyday for breakfast dinner and tea, tried the italian in buffet restaurant that has to be pre booked, worst meal I have ever had at any place I have been in the world. Your starter is pre chosen by caterer, we had pizza for main meal, I ordered mexicano which should have minced beef, jalepeno's and onions, it came with minced beef and that was it! no apologies, did not even care. Bearing in mind you have to pre book to to get a table, when we first sat down caterer was already clearing vacant tables of everything leaving us surrounded with empty bare tables, then started taking decor down off the posts, it was a joke. To eat out at the excellent restaurants in the area your looking at 3.50 euro's for full breakfast, excellent main dishes are around 14 euro's. If your a family with young children then this hotel is good for keeping your costs down. I personally will not be returning, unless its next door to the adults only hotel where guests there seem more than happy with the hotel facilities. Its obvious the staff are trying to do the best with what they have got, the staff are excellent.
What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said. This is truly a great hotel and the best time was had by all. All the staff work really hard and are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The entertainment team are brilliant, the kids loved the dance around the pool on a morning and afternoon, Shirley, Simone, Alice are great, sorry can't remember the other two girls names. The snack bar was great and the baileys coffee slush was amazing, with beer, wine, sangria and soft drinks on tap not forgetting the ice cream. The food could be better for kids in the evening as there is very little choice for them. My youngest had to make to with a cheeseburger from the pool bar as there was nothing suitable for him from the main buffet bar. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the pool which was ideal, especially when having to get the towels out on the sunbeds at 6.00am, believe you me we weren't the first ones out!! We did have a couple of issues, one, the cleaners didn't replace any toilet roll, had to ask at reception twice, and two, no towels left on one occasion. Its only a small matter but one that needs addressing with the cleaning staff, we weren't the only ones who had to ask. All in all I would certainly recommend this hotel and would definitely return. Many thanks to all at Be Live Experience and hope to see you again soon.
