Charming beachfront 1-bedroom cottage near Langley, Whidbey Island Washington.

This shingled 1-bedroom cottage perches just steps above the water, with easy beach access. The living room has a water view, and the kitchen is fully equipped, with a dining table that seats four. Off the living room is a deck that offers space for lounging and enjoying the views of the beach and water. A half bath and washer/dryer are adjacent to the kitchen.

Upstairs, the loft bedroom overlooks the living room and the water, and offers a comfortable king bed. Up a steep ladder is a small sleeping cubby, with a narrow sleeping pad for an older child or agile adult. The adjacent bathroom features both a shower and a bathtub with a large window looking down at the water. A large walk-in closet completes the upper level.

Wifi and cable are provided; cell phone reception is adequate but not ideal in all areas of the house. Enjoy the convenience of a washer/dryer, new dishwasher, and gas range.

This property is perfect for a couple or small family, but is not recommended for toddlers or very young children.

Just steps down from the cottage is the beach and sandbar. Fishing and swimming (especially when the tide has come in over a sunny sandbar) - make for wonderful memories. Miles of walking trails extend through the woods across the road. The charming village of Langley is a mile and a half away - a five minute drive or a walk along the beach - with shops, galleries, restaurants, and more.

The cottage is adjacent to the Log Castle vacation home (vrbo.com/1015151) and can be rented by itself or with the Log Castle, to provide additional sleeping and living quarters. This property is new on the market and has no reviews yet, but the property manager is an experienced Premier Host.

There is an owner occupied apartment on the property, so we can answer any questions or address any issues you may have either in person or by text. A 10:00 pm quiet time is requested.

Lea was wonderful before and throughout our two-week stay. Location was ideal: quiet, gorgeous views of ocean, easy access to beautiful hiking trails. We walked 7 miles and only saw part of them. Cottage is well-appointed: comfy king-sized bed, good heat and wifi, huge bathtub for bubble baths with ocean view. We had a very relaxing stay. Will definitely return.

This place is magical! Perfect for a relaxing get-away. The setting is simply idyllic, with direct access to the beach, as well as a complete network of hiking trails right across the street! I happened to luck out with perfect weather and a full harvest moon rise across the water. Amazing!! There is an abundance of attention to detail - everything you could think of including notes regarding which remote does which function, signs for which switches turn on which lights, etc. There is also a fascinating written history of the property. The only thing I would mention is it is a bit of a climb to where your car is parked. It was not a problem for me but could be for some, especially if you have a lot of heavy stuff.All in all, though, this is a great find and very close to the lovely village of Langley.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! The description fits this home to a tee! It is very charming and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Living area was very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need if cooking. The deck was great to sit and watch the seals floating literally in front of the house or just relaxing! You won’t be sorry renting this house plus owners are real gems!

Wonderful waterfront location on Puget Sound. Wildlife everywhere you look. Seals, eagles, hummingbirds part of our days. Snow capped mountains in the distance beyond the water. Lovely owners which live next door. Very generous and helpful people. Had a great experience with their rental. Excellent location.

A Wonderful Property

The cabin was clean and well-appointed. We enjoyed the little extras, like candles next to the bathtub and copies of hiking trails that were close by. This cabin is so close to the water that we felt we were on a boat when the tide was in. And when the tide was out, there was a little beach to explore. We saw plenty of birds and seals, but no orcas on this trip.It should be noted that there are rustic stairs down to this cabin. I'm two months out from a knee surgery, so found them a little difficult to maneuver. That being said, the view was well worth it, and I hope to return soon.

Great location right on the water

This was a great location right on the water. We saw whales, seals, and other wildlife. The cottage was cute and well stocked. Owners were very responsive, and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
