Welcome to Nature Ski Lodge Sterwen a Magnificent chalet in a Quiet Hamlet SO CLOSE TO MAJOR SKI RESORTS SO FAR FROM MASS TOURISM.
You will ski one of the largest ski area in Europe: Les Arcs linked to La Plagne to form PARADISKI. Chalet Sterwen is centrally located 6km from three PARADISKI ski resorts with free ski shuttle.
Three practical options for skiing even with children:
1/ A free shuttle passes in front of the chalet for the funicular 6km away. The ascent to Arc 1600 lasts 7 minutes. Ski rental and ski storage are at the bottom, ski school at the top of the funicular. By car it’s flat and takes less than 10 minutes. There is a very large parking lot. Once organized with the ski locker, your trips will be quick and practical.
2/ You can drop off your children in less than 10 minutes by car at the Montchavin ski school 6km away, a family resort in the fir trees in La Plagne area. You can park easily at the top of the station.
3/ You’ll access the village skilift of Peisey 6km away which takes you to Vallandry, the center of Paradiski in 6 minutes with ski schools, kindergarden and ski rental. Our website explains everything in detail.
We operate weeks Sunday to Sunday. This saves you from Traffic and allows you to ski on Saturday, the quietest day on the slopes.

CHALET LAYOUT
Our big ecological chalet for tribes of up to 16 people.
The charm of the old farm combines with modern comfort with an Eco concept in a restored 19th century farmhouse with plenty of space: 300m2, 6 bedrooms and mezzanine with en-suite bathroom and 6 WC. Two large bedrooms with 3 beds and one with mezzanine and 4 beds for a Total of 16 beds. Two large living rooms with fireplace for cozy evenings.
Well-equipped modern kitchen open to the dining room with raclette grill + fondue set. An imposing 3 m table allows everyone to sit around for nice meals.
The large wood-fired sauna chalet to relax after a good day of skiing. A pitcher to refresh yourself with icy water from the “bachal” (hamlet spring).

A SLICE OF PARADISE
South Facing with magnificent views of the mountains, chalet Sterwen is located in a quiet hamlet of Landry in the middle of a large plot of 3500 m².
Everything has been designed so that you can enjoy the mountains, skiing and nature in chic and rustic comfort with the added luxury of space.
The Alpine stone terraces and large sunny balconies, the garden or the large lounges await you to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

FOR FANS OF NATURE ACTIVITIES
The Nordic center of Peisey-Nancroix will delight you amongst glaciers and typical high mountain villages with free shuttle from the village center 500m away. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, sleighs with huskies, reindeer or horses and two nice and cosy mountain inns.
Walks or snowshoes departing from the chalet with or without a guide.
Sledding or games in the garden for children.

PARADISKI INFORMATION
Skiing at altitude and 626 snow cannons guarantee you quality skiing whatever the time of year. Two glaciers are part of the area, “Aiguille Rouge” and “Bellecôte”. The summit of the ski area at 3,250 m. Landry has an ideal location in the valley 800m at the foot of the enormous "Paradiski" ski area with 425 km of slopes and 140 lifts. 2 snow parks, 5 boarder crosses, 2 half-pipes.

OUR SERVICES
The pack with final cleaning, 2 bags of wood, bath mats and tea towels for €180 is mandatory given the size of the house and will be paid locally.
Rental option for sheets 12€, towels 8€
Snowcook offers meal delivery for around €15 or a catered service €300/adult/week and €200/child. Her contact details are on our website.

Parking spaces and covered parking when it snows.

In the main village 500m away you will find a wine bar, 2 restaurants and a grocery store. 6km away in Bourg Saint Maurice you will find bars, restaurants, all facilities, swimming pool, spa and 3 supermarkets
