Lovely place to stay. Long days travel, so had everything we needed. Somewhere to have a main meal, which was lovely. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which are a must on a business trip. Shower, bed, tv & breakfast, all at a good standard for a very reasonable price
This is one of the best campanile hotels we have stayed in, everything was a cut above, the staff, the service, the cleanliness, the rooms and the food in the restaurant was delicious, we stay in at leat 4 different campanile hotels a year, and enjoyed staying here immensely
We needed a stop-over on a Sunday evening when open French restaurants can be a little scarce on the ground. This hotel offered a room at a reasonable price and a restaurant which was going to be open. Unfortunately they had been very busy the night before. The room key did not work to start with and the towels had not been changed from the previous occupants. Moreover, having changed them once, the new ones, which I saw come off the washed towel pile in the hotel's linen room, were also somewhat stained though I suppose clean. Once we finally settled in, it was a good, comfortable, clean and quiet room. The restaurant was fine with the campanile buffet offering a reasonably good meal and the restaurant a pleasant ambiance. So, for a Sunday night stopover it was alright and the price was fine reflecting their reduced custom on Sunday nights. Other times I might look further afield.
One night stopover on my way to Spain. Ground floor room with easy access to the motorbike, secure parking and a good clean room but as other reviewers have said the wooden floors do allow the noise of couples upstairs walking /creaking etc to come through to the rooms below. Breakfast was plentiful and available for along time - ideal for both early or late starts. Supermarket within walkign distance for last minute essentials... one downside but the hotel is very close to a military airbase and at 6:00 on Sunday two military jets tooks off... the locals were very alarmed as well as other visitors as it was an unusual situation.
On arrival at the reception she was pleasant and welcoming. The car park was gate closed after hours to secure vehicles. They have a restaurant on site. This site is near the commercial centre and near by air base. Which you will generally hear through the evening. The room was colourful and comfortable.
I stayed in this hotel last September and gave it a rather mixed review, but I was visiting the town recently and the Campanile was very conveniently sited, so I tried it again. In terms of location, it is very well placed on the edge of town, and we had a fairly large room with a comfortable bed. In the restaurant, the waitress patiently explained to us all the options, and could not have been more helpful. It was a shame that the ambiance was spoiled by the persistent, and very loud, drone of the refrigeration unit in the room. Breakfast was very poor. They had run out of croissants by 8:30, a matter of complete indifference to the duty manager when we raised the matter with him. No effort had been made to clear any of the tables, and a couple of Campanile employees took up residence amongst the mess to earnestly discuss their spreadsheets. Maybe Campanile has missed the obvious connection between spreadsheets and customer satisfaction.
Basic but would be okay but for three problem areas. First no shower curtain so water all over the bathroom floor however careful you are. Second bathroom sink has motion operated taps which are fine in the right place but not in a Hotel room. Third and worst the noise from next door if you have an interconnecting door. People just talking at normal levels sound as if they are in the room with you. Big problem.
I have been in several hotels in Mont-de-Marsan and its area and I may say that Campanile is the best choice! Very good ratio of quality and price! I was staying in Campanile from 16th to 21st of October 2014 together with my 4 years old daughter. I had a very difficult personal situation at that time and all the team of the hotel together with the director made their best to help me morally and provided lot's of extra services, which could be not possible in many other hotels. All of them were very professional, kind and caring! I wouldn't manage my situation without their help. What comes to the room - it's in a very good condition, quite stylish, good isolation, very comfortable bed, all necessary for the 3 star hotel- phone, tea set, hair dryer, fast Internet etc. Very good breakfasts, lunches and dinners! Good choice and small prices! Buffet and a la carte menu is at your choice. Nice nearby area, hotel is surrounded by the trees and has its own field, where you can play with the child or go out with your dog. There is also a terrace outside. The hotel is situated close to the grocery shops, car rentals, McDonalds and so on and only about 5 minutes driving from the center of Mont-de-Marsan. 100% recommended for the families, business and individual customers! Bonjour à toute l'équipe et merci beaucoup encore une fois! Je suis de retour en toute sécurité à la Finlande)) Victoria
This hotel is very easy to find, on the edge of town. We had a comfortable bed and the room was well designed apart from the very limited storage space. Breakfast was substantial and dinner would have been very good, but for the fact that we found a sliver of glass in my wife’s fish. When we drew this to the attention of the waiter, we received a Gallic shrug, a brief apology and an offer to waive the cost of the offending food. The staff appeared to be totally unconcerned about the potentially lethal hazard, and unwilling to consider how the glass had come to be in the food.
I booked this hotel as a mid stop of a 2000 km car drive trip and in the next day I was really glad I did it. For a 3 star hotel and inherent low price, we were able to really rest during the night. The rooms had everything we needed and the beds were extremely comfortable (more than some higher stared hotels I've slept). The breakfast and dinner were acceptable. It is really easy to reach by road, and the free parking only adds value to the stay. If i ever need again to do a resting stop in France I will look for a hotel of this chain again.
